We Tried the Gender Ring Test and the Results Were CRAZY!

Video taken from the channel: For All Moms

The ring gender test is one of the many ways people have tried to predict the sex of their unborn baby. What makes this test somewhat unique is that one version also claims to. If the ring moves in a circle, you are said to be carrying a girl. If it moves to and fro, you are said to be having a boy.

How Accurate Is The Ring Test For Sex Prediction? If you are looking for scientifically proven sex predictors, the ring test is not one of them. It is part of folklore, and how it works is not known.

Lie on your back and have your partner or a friend dangle the thread over your baby bump, allowing it to move in whatever motion comes organically. Here’s how to interpret the results: If the ring moves back and forth like a pendulum, the baby is a boy. If it moves in a circle, you’re having a girl. The string gender test is a test to figure out the gender of your baby.

Simply tie your wedding ring on the end of a piece of string and hold it above your belly as you lie on your back. Relax and let the string move on it’s own without any help from you. The ring on a string gender prediction test is not scientifically proven, but for many years, women around the world have been using this method to predict the gender of their unborn babies.

The string gender prediction test has been proven to be very accurate. But nobody knows how the test works. Ring gender test.

Get a long piece of thin thread. (We use sewing thread, however, some swear by using a strand of the mother’s hair) Pass one end through a ring. (Legend says it must be the mother’s wedding band) Lay down and uncover your pregnant belly. Hold both ends of the thread and let the ring hang right above your belly. The wedding ring gender test is an old method for predicting the sex of a developing baby using a wedding ring and a string. This ring test over the belly is completely safe and is one of the most common types of gender prediction tests. Instructions for the Ring Gender Test.

With the ring test, you take the pregnant woman’s wedding ring (or other important ring) and tie it to a thread or string (some women use a strand of hair). The pregnant woman lies down, and you dangle the ring over her baby bump. If the ring swings in a circle, the baby will be a girl.

If it swings back and forth, the baby is a boy. How Accurate Is the Ring Gender Test? The ring gender test is an old wives tale or pregnancy superstition that is a common method used to try and ascertain what gender the baby will be. The accuracy of the ring gender test is debated because it has a 50/50 of success. Ultimately, the test is not considered an accurate gender predictor.

A woman in our private Facebook group posted a video about the gender ring test, so we decided to try it for ourselves to see if it was accurate. The concept. Hi, I was slightly jealous that all you mums only expecting one get to try out the ring test, so I thught I’d have a go myself even though there are twins in there, lol! The weirdest thing happened!!! When I was dead in the centre of my tummy it didnt move at all, if I moved it t the left over twin 1 it was swinging back and forth (boy), I then travelled over the middle where it.

  • Not pregnant but hopefully we do after we get married this year! Mine has ALWAYS like since high school said 3! Boy, girl, boy! So I’ve always just planed to have 3!

  • Circle is girl…. up and down are boys…
and if you’re reading is girl but you have a boy or you’re reading is boy and you have a girl there’s a high chance that they are gay or lesbian…..
most likely because your partner was supposed to have a boy and you were supposed to have a girl but The universe was willing and gave you the child anyway.

That’s why a lot of gay or lesbians will say they are a female in a man’s body or a man in a female’s body….
because one of the parents were supposed to have a boy as their first child and the other parent was supposed to have a female as their first child but like I said the universe was willing and gave them the child anyway….

  • I’ve done this myself multiple times. I always get the same results. One girl and one boy. Honestly hope it’s wrong and that I will have another. I also agree that I can feel like a pull while doing this. Like something is pulling between my hand and the ring on my hair.

  • I did this four times and got the same result each time. I got: boy (possibly twin boys because the movement and motion of the ring was much stronger and larger for this round in comparison to other rounds), then another boy, and then a girl. When I try to predict anything else past the girl, the ring starts switching back and forth between small circles and back/front motions before stopping entirely. I’m curious to see if this ends up coming true. I’ve been told by psychics that I’m going to have three pregnancies, so I always assumed that I would only have three children; I never considered the possibility of twins!

  • Ladies and gents… i tested it… and it works…
If ur lazy like Me. When placed ring hnging over back of wrist… it will swing back and forth for boy and circle for girl…
But when you do it like vid.. up down over each finger first is circles for boys and back forth for girl…

Tested both ways.. and yep accurate.. i have 3 kids boy girl boy… now Im worried about the 2 extra girls both tests said im having… wth… noooooo

  • This is amazing! I tried it swveral times and it Even preficyrd the boy and girl i have, then boy i miscarried and plus a new baby girl to come in the furure, OMG

  • Mine said girl boy girl girl boy boy girl and then stops…I have a daughter son daughter daughter I’m pregnant with what it says is a boy and am expecting 2 more pregnancies after this one! So far it’s right! I did an early blood gender test just waiting for the results so we will see if boy is correct:)

  • This is insane!! I did it 5 times and all fives time where accurate. I am too excited because I want another girl. Lets see what happens.

  • Well according to the ring test circle is a boy and back and forth is a girl. So if you got 2 test that Says girl congrats!! It’s definitely a girl!

  • Love you guys! Shaylee you are so gorgeous! I Facebook messaged you like a year ago, my name is Karlee. Anyway, I can finally comment now because we took the plunge and started vlogging! Thank you for sharing your love for God with the internet!

  • can anyone please remind me in like… 10 years? hehe. i’m 13 now and i got girl, boy, girl:) cause i am pretty sure i’ll lose the note where i wrote the predictions hahah. thanks! it’d mean a lot if you could remind me! <3

  • I have no children yet but I’ve done this with my necklace chain and ring on the palm of my hand then the way y’all are doing it I got the same thing every time we shall see if I have what it’s predicted

  • I have 1 boy and 2 girl’s predicted correct and pregnant with my 3rd girl so also predicted that correct as done this ring test before my 20 week scan

  • Lol I test all my boys with the ring test and the ring went back n forth over their heads and the i did it over my head and it went in circles. I did it over my belly its in cirles

  • I just did this currently pregnant and hoping for a girl I got a girl, a boy, a boy, a girl…and stopped after kid number 4 because at that point I will be DONE. Crossing my fingers!!!

  • Just did this test and it scared me… i have 4 girls, 1 boy and current pregnant with a girl. The test said girl, girl, girl, girl, boy, girl and then stopped witch is crazy because I’m getting my tubes tied after this baby

  • I don’t know if you know but there is one “test” to see how many kids do you supost to have in your life that is similar to the ring test, you can try bt fun! My mom do it and it was absolutly correct:p So, you put a needle in a row and put on the top of the palm of your hand (just like you put the ring on top on your belly). Then the result is similar, if it balance in circles is a girl and if balance in one direction is a boy. You repeat the test until the needle stoped and you know the hen gender and the number of kids by order:)

Supposedly it count all pregnancies, eveb abortion and adoption.

(if you choose the right hand symbolizes the fate that you plane and the left is the fate that God has planned for you)

Congrats and a big big hug from Portugal for all of you 😉

  • I have no children, but me and my bf have said ideally 2 (boy and girl) or no more than 3 if we have 2 boys or 2 girls…
Used the promise ring he gave me last week (ring of importance to me)
Did this like 20 times cause it was freaking me out that it just said girl, boy, girl and then came to a wee idle spinning. Same thing EVERY TIME.

UMMMMMMMM gonna be at least 4 years before the first one, but damn best pick us some baby names… jkjk

  • When I first did this in 2016 it said girl boy boy, I gave birth to my first child in 2018 and it was a girl. Currently ttc so we’ll see if we get the two boys!

  • My most common result using this is two girls boy then girl I won’t four kids xx I do circles for girls back and fourth side to side for boys xx

  • I’ve gone to a medium who predicted I would have 2 girls then a boy.
I just did this and it predicted I would have 8 kids (which is how many I want!) the order was 2 girls, 3 boys, 3 girls!
I’m pregnant with my first right now but waiting to find out the gender.. I’ll update in 3 months when the baby’s born!

  • Okay so what does it mean if it switches genders. On my third kid it always starts off as a boy and then before I pull my hand away it suddenly says boy. Does this means twins or am I have trans baby. I’ll him/ her either way but seriously does have an answer?
