Pregnancy symptoms during week 17. Unsteadiness. Starting to feel a bit off balance?

As your belly grows, your center of gravity changes, so you may begin to occasionally feel a little unsteady on your feet. Try to avoid situations with a. Week 17 Baby: Your baby now has doubled in weight in the last two weeks. Fat begins to form, helping your baby’s heat production and metabolism.

The lungs are beginning to exhale amniotic flui. By week 17 some symptoms you may experience, in addition to nausea, include: GI issues. GI issues, such as heartburn, indigestion, and nausea, are some of the most common pregnancy discomforts.

At 17 weeks pregnant, your baby is the size of a large onion. Baby’s body fat is starting to develop, along with fingerprints. Your appetite is likely increasing, and you may be contending with some heartburn and indigestion. Your baby at week 17 of pregnancy Your baby is 5.1 in (13 cm), weighs about 4.9 oz (140 g), and he/she is responsive to sounds.

The subcutaneous fat layer crucial for thermoregulation is forming. The placenta is growing with the fetus. At 17 weeks pregnant, your baby is beginning to form adipose or fat tissue. This will help fill out the fine features that your baby has.

Fat is also important in helping regulate the body’s temperature and metabolism. What should you plan for during the 17th week of pregnancy?17 weeks into a pregnancy, your body is making adjustments and space for the growth spurt that is about to take place in the fetus. Your child’s skeleton is growing stronger by the day, and they.

As week 17 comes and goes, you are probably feeling much more comfortable with your pregnancy and dealing more easily with your symptoms. You are starting to show, and you look more like a pregnant woman than a woman who is overeating. Symptoms and Body Changes at 17 Weeks. At 17 weeks you will begin to show.

By week 17, your body is showing signs of being pregnant. You’ll probably notice it’s not only your belly getting bigger, but your hormones and milk-producing glands are also developing to get your body ready to feed your baby. Right now your ovaries are also releasing a hormone called relaxin.

At 17 weeks pregnant, you’re four months pregnant. But here’s the catch: Pregnancy is technically longer than nine months: It’s 40 weeks long, and if you assign four weeks to a month, that’s 10 months long. Of course, some months have slightly more than four weeks.

  • My Co worker just lost her baby boy at 36 weeks due to the cord being wrapped around his neck. When my baby was born at 40 weeks, the cord was wrapped so tightly around her neck that she was blue when she came out and was not breathing. She also had a punctured lung and almost died. The cord is a bigger deal then most think!!!!

  • Thanks for your videos they help me out a lot in my pregnancy. I’m 16 weeks pregnant. You can look at my videos in please subscribe to my channel. Thanks a lot!!!

  • I love your videos. Very informative and easy to understand. I find out my baby’s gender on the 11th of November:) I am currently 17 weeks pregnant.

  • That’s great to hear, congratulations.. It’s a very nice name you have chosen..:) Thank you for sharing your experience with us and all the best to you and your little girl.

  • Ultrasound went great… I thought there would be an issue since I’m not as big as I thought I would be. Having a girl. She’s great. Growing fine. Everything went well… Naming her Emoni Milan Young… Wanted a boy first and then I just found myself praying for a healthy baby. So, I’m excited… 19 weeks and 4 days at the moment…

  • I don’t think I am getting enought sleep 5-6 hours a day in average because I have hard time falling a sleep.. will that hurt my baby??

  • At this stage the baby can seem around 16 17 weeks, it’s nearly the same. If you and your husband are tall it would be normal to be a big bigger than people who are a bit smaller. Sounds normal!

  • On week 16 I went to the OBGYN for my monthly check-up and he told me that the baby looks like a 17 week… my husband and I are quite tall, is it normal if the baby is bigger than normal?

  • I felt my baby move at 16 weeks…I’m 17 weeks today and I feel allot more movement than I did last week. My due date is on December 15th 2020.:)

  • Thank you for contacting us.

Yes baby is definitely fine if you hear the heartbeat. Not feeling the baby usually means that baby has moved into a new position making feeling his or her movements difficult. Babies have their rest and active times. Don’t worry baby moves so much that you don’t feel.

  • I am almost 17 weeks pregnant with my 2nd child and was able to feel my baby move a few weeks back. But the last two days he has been quite calm. Should i be worried? His heart beat is there but sounds distant.

  • Beautiful video I so agree with the itchy boobs and stretch marks. Also, those vivid dreams you shared about. I’m 17 weeks pregnant as of today with my first child at the age of 39. Please do pray for my healthy pregnancy and safe delivery. Thank you.

  • 1st time daddy baby due Dec 2020. Can’t wait, mommy sleeping all the time , daddy running around making sure the cravings are taken care of…

  • I’m 17 weeks 1 day today, I heard my baby heart beat this week, it was 158, gosh i wanted to cry with joy. I can’t wait to find out the gender next week in my 18 or 19 weeks.

  • ugh I’ve been pregnant for three years and nobody can convince me otherwise I’m due August 31st, 2020 with a girl! Her name is Willow Grace

  • Im due june 6 on December 30 i got an ultrasound done at 17 weeks 2days they said it was a boy.today my obgyn was saying they couldn’t see the hands on ultrasound should i worry i have onther ultrasound booked on the January 11

  • Due Jan 2021 with a little boy I’m a FTM and I felt baby move at 14 weeks and its got a little strong each week. Such an amazing feeling. I’m still feeling a little nauseous every now and then but not as ofter as before. X

  • I’m 17 weeks pregnant as of today and so happy to see your video to understand better what my baby is doing like and appears like at this point of time. Thank you so much for sharing such a lovely video. Please do pray for my healthy pregnancy and safe delivery. I’m due on 6th June, 2020.

  • I’m 17 weeks pregnant and I don’t really have a bump and it kinda makes me sad I also still feel nauseous and don’t want to eat a lot of things

  • Sucking the thumb happened at 13 weeks for my baby (during a 4D ultrasound). Felt movements already at 6 weeks but now at week 17 it feels like actual kicks not just flutters. Also the bump was massive already at like 7 weeks…At 17 weeks I seriously look 7 months pregnant

  • I had a boy for my first and he always had a high heartbeat and right now I’m pregnant with a girl and she’s high as well. So I wouldn’t go by how fast the heartbeat is to determine if you’re having a boy or girl

  • Due February 2021 with my little girl This is my 4th pregnancy and I felt her super early at 13 weeks 5 days! I thought it was gas but nope it was her

  • My 2 girls did have higher hearbeats and now i’m pregnant with what i believe is a boy due to not bad morning sickness. just nausea. And it’s heart beat was 126 and 120. But I don’t know what the gender is yet so we shall see.

  • I already feel so hard:( so heavy stomach, heavy boobs, my backwaist hurt.. my legs hurt.. i feel tired fast.. im 17weeks 1 day.. twins.. i feel my baby movement when im 16weeks 2days bt i feel shocked actually because its a strong movement 7times continually so i thought i cant breath then saw my belly move alot..

  • I’m 17 weeks tomorrow, I started feeling baby about 2 weeks ago. It is my first and I was quite surprised, my sister-in-law thinks that it may be the position of my placenta and that it contributes to feeling baby earlier. Still exciting!

  • I’m actually 16weeks and 5days pregnant on my first pregnancy now, it might be not believable but i started to feel butterfly movements from 13 weeks and by now I can actually feel kicks like even so clearly and strong and that really feel amazing to actually feel baby like this for first time. And oh… it’s a girllllll

  • I thought I’m going to be 17 weeks and I learnt that my baby didn’t have a heartbeat for 3 weeks already I was counting days till I feel my baby. Please take care of yourselves! And hopefully I will be back soon to these series and reach till last episode 42 weeks.

  • I’m 17 weeks having my second child, crazy thing my daughter be 15 so this is kinda new to me after all them years . Pray baby and I are great and

  • Im having fast heartbeats,
    I’m having a boy…..
This is my 4th pregnancy at 39, So far looking like my 3rd successful birth Godwilling. yes I’m definitely feeling the movements/tapping in the lower belly. Even tho I sat high, with both of my boys. I feel the fluttering in the lower belly. Still nauseated not throwing up but heartburn still definitely.
It’s annoying but worth the experience……
Congratulations to us all us, to have a healthy child/children and a successful full term pregnancy…….

  • Thank u!!! I was just worried cause i have had miscarriages in the past. But my lil boy is kicking a lil now as we speak. But on and off.

  • I’m in my 17th week and today morning onwards I’m having lower abdomen cramps like pain. Pain on my hip area radiating to my leg. Is all these symptoms normal? I’m worried Please reply.

  • 17 weeks today with first baby I started to feel my baby around 15 weeks but now it’s a stronger popping and tapping and turning sensation compared to before lol and I love it

  • I’m 17 weeks and 1 day! Started to feel my baby move a few days ago! Feels like butterflies sometimes, soft finger sweeping sometimes, and other times soft taping. Baby balls up on right side for some reason. Has this happened to anyone else? It’s painful at times. And yes people touch my belly. It’s weird sometimes but I let them as I know it’s in good faith the more love for my baby the better!

  • I’m 17 weeks pregnant today and have been suffering with really bad ligament pain but I’m so appreciative to be pregnant with my little one

  • 17 weeks and 1 day with my 3rd pregnancy. I felt baby move at 14 or 15 weeks. My body is probably used to this pregnancy thing now.

  • 17 weeks with my first baby and I feel like something is moving in the water. I’m not sure yet if that’s the baby but it has to be!:):)

  • You say “even if the umbilical cord gets tied in a knot, it’s not a problem”… my son was killed by a ‘true knot’ in his cord at 38 weeks gestation, just 3 days before I was due to be induced. Nuchal wraps and umbilical cord knots can and do kill babies inside the womb. My son and all the thousands of other full term stillbirths due to Umbillical cord accidents are proof of that. If you have reduced movements it may be due to a UCA, do not let maternity assessment units turn you away. You know your baby’s movements better than anyone else.

  • I love these videos but I just cry uncontrollably at every one! I think it’s your happy voice and cute background music. I always have to make sure i’m on my own to watch them and sob with a roll of toilet paper next to me!

  • 17 weeks today, and lots of lower butterfly movements. From my scans I have been told i have a very active baby. Baby boy never stops moving (hence why high heart beat). I am nesting like crazy already ❤️

  • I was enjoying the video till she mentioned “ugly” for darker nipples. How bad of a thought process can this be. There is scientific reasons for that (which I won’t waist my time describing) and that’s why our nipples get those beautiful colors. Peace

  • I’m currently 17 weeks pregnant with my 3rd baby. It moves A LOT!!! sometimes it’s even painful. I’ve been feeling the baby move since 16 weeks.

  • I would love to feel some movement so that I wouldnt worry so much about if its still alive. Have to wait another 2 1/2 weeks for the second ultrasound. This pandemic situation isnt helping either. Oh well, all I can do is trying to endure.

  • A question about the heart beat old wives tale thing, is the heart beat and gender based on all of the heart beats through out the pregnancy or just the heart beat around 17 weeks? Like if it was just around the 17 weeks for me it would be 137 bpm but if they’re all of the heart beats then it would be 170, 160, 146, and then 137. Also I have an anterior placenta and I’ve seen comments from other women saying they couldn’t feel movement around this time. Because of the anterior placenta it’s like having a pillow on top of your stomach and then trying to have someone touch your stomach while it’s on there. You wouldn’t feel it because of the cushion. So we will feel it later I would say 20 weeks earliest ball park estimate but also could be until 27 weeks so just have to let baby get bigger and we will feel it eventually:)

  • I’m just turning 17 weeks, belly has popped much but baby is still really low down and I have felt anything yet. I’m having food issues, nothing appeals to me but I eat anyways, I can often be sick after the meals and force myself to eat again. Struggling a little but still trying to enjoy no matter what

  • This is my first pregnancy idk if it was because I am super sensitive with my body but I have been having butterflys for weeks now but there more now

  • Mood swings in the first trimester was frequent. At 17 weeks, tdy, i felt so helpless in dealing with silly things, i didn’t shout but cried.. Trying to feel those movements and realising its almost half of the total duration.. InShaAllah

  • I’m 17 weeks pregnant now with my first and I’ve been feeling my kid move for a few weeks now! Now hitting 17 weeks, I feel him all the time. He’s a squirmy wormy
