No matter what’s generated your interest in hCG levels and twins, we’ve got the answers you’re seeking. (Spoiler alert: While higher levels of hCG can indicate twin pregnancy, it is by no means. No matter what’s generated your interest in hCG levels and twins, we’ve got the answers you’re seeking. (Spoiler alert: While higher levels of hCG can indicate twin pregnancy, it is by no means definitive. You’re going to want to get an ultrasound to know for sure.). In early pregnancy, the placenta produces human chorionic gonadotropin hormone (hCG) to support the growth of the fetus.

But are hCG levels higher if you’re having twins or multiples? The answer. Those early positives might be one clue that you’re having twins, but don’t count on it.

Here’s why: Home pregnancy tests look for the presence of human chorionic gonadotropin (hCG) in your urine, and levels of that hormone are indeed higher in multiple pregnancies — but not right away. It takes a few days for the hCG production of twins to outpace the hCG production of one baby. If you have just found out that you are pregnant and you think that it may be twins due to high HCG levels twins, ask your OB to conduct further tests in order to deny or confirm this.

Keep in mind that a single HCG reading will typically not provide sufficient information in order to conclude an accurate diagnosis. High hCG levels can be found for twins during the early stages for pregnancy. The normal hCG levels for twins is 30% to 50% higher than in single pregnancysomewhere around 200 to 1750 mIU/ml.

The level of hCG may double every 2-3 days in early pregnancy. Blood tests give the best results when taken 7-8 days after ovulation. As such, if you are pregnant with twins, then each child at its development stage will secrete normal HCG levels, which results in higher levels of HCG as compared to the levels in a single pregnancy.

This simply means that though HCG levels may vary between every woman, typically, they are much higher in women who are pregnant with twins. You’re having twins surely if your hCG level after 28 days post ovulation is more than 90000 miu/l, while more than the average hcg 23000 is not a sharp sign after 6 weeks. By understanding the previous explanations, it is easy to expect hcg level at 7 weeks with twins, hcg levels at 8 weeks with twins, or HCG for 10 weeks pregnant with twins. Elevated hCG Levels Women who are pregnant with twins may have increased levels of hCG, which is the hormone that is produced during pregnancy.

However, increased levels of hCG do not automatically indicate multiples. Further investigation would be needed to verify the cause of a high hCG level. As with low levels, high levels of hCG do not necessarily indicate a problem with a pregnancy. Some women simply have higher levels.

If a woman has high hCG levels, it could point to twins or.

  • I know this is old, but congrats! I found out I was pregnant 5 days before my missed period, had hot flashes before the positive tests, and found out my hcg levels were 8823 at 5 weeks 3 days. Twins don’t run in the family on either side, but since I started having hot flashes I had dreams about two babies <3 either way we will be happy, I'm high risk due to high blood pressure and a premature baby in 2014.

  • I am a new subscriber and congratulations I know I am late but you have gave me so much hope. I am starting ivf and I am terrified but you have gave me hope that I can get pregnant. I am starting the shot process I think this week the calendar so confusing. Congratulations again twins rock.

  • We aren’t starting IVF yet. We have been trying though for almost two years. We’ve done an HSG and several rounds of clomid. Now about to do our first IUI! So happy to hear this good news for you!!

  • What and exciting time for you! New subie here. I am also dealing with infertility do to endometriosis. We have been trying for almost a year now, naturally after a laparoscopic surgery to remove 2 orange sized cysts and some endo. We will be seeing an endocrinologist for the first time mid august.

  • My first beta was 37 6dp5dt and the 2nd was 136 8dp5dt

I was worried about the numbers but currently I am almost 7 months w didi twin boys. You never know with the numbers but fast doubling or tripling rates def indicate. Congrats!

  • You are such an inspiration! My husband and I are getting ready to start our IVF process next month. I had a polypectomy 2 weeks ago so we are just waiting for that to heal.

  • I just found your channel. I’m so happy that IVF worked for you! My husband and I just found out that IVF may be our only option to conceive our first child. We were pregnant last year (naturally) and miscarried at 6 weeks. So we didn’t think it would be hard to conceive again, but I have blocked tubes, my husband has some sperm issues, and I heard now that I have low ovarian reserve. So IVF it is, and I wanted to hear others’ experiences and I’m so glad I found yours. Gives me hope that if we do decide to do it, it could really work! I’m so happy to follow along on your pregnancy journey now!

  • What IVF group are you in that you mentioned? I’m looking to get involved with more online support. I’m currently 28 days away from FET day!

  • my first beta was 505 (8dp5dt) and second beta was 2609 (12dp5dt).. i transferred two and have 16.5 month old triplets multiples are such a huge blessing! no matter how many are growing i’m so happy for you! praying for a healthy pregnancy!

  • How many days past transfer were your first and second beta. Mine done at 14dp5dt was 3100, we only transfered one! And im thinking this number is a bit high!!!!

  • I feel that with the ‘morning sickness’ my all day sickness did include the vomiting it got to the point where I ended up losing 15 pounds and had to be put on medication so that I could keep things down. Mine lasted well into my 2nd trimester, thank god it finally subsided.

  • Girl, you gloat all you want! I’m on my second IUI as my first failed. I was devastated that it didn’t work but I’m really happy that you’re pregnant! I started following your journey because during my first cycle, I felt like I was alone and then you came up as suggested so i watched a few videos and i knew I had to subscribe. There are many people going through fertility issues and treatments but we’re really happy for you! I can’t wait for the ultrasound update

  • Don’t apologise some people need a reason to moan:/ and as for being emotional I’m a wreck and always have been haha. Everything makes me cry, I have 2 very unaffected happy healthy children xx

  • Honestly girl people will pick apart your thumbnails and titles no matter what they are. I liked the thumbnail and it made me way more excited when your beta was positive.:D

  • I’m a new subscriber and although I don’t struggle with infertility my heart goes out to you and all of the other women that do! Praying and sending so much love to your growing family!

  • yeah once you get some sports bras they make you feel a little comfortable sport bras they are real comfortable to better than bras cuz my daughter she grown in my son just turned grown last year I’m 56 years old I’ve been telling me he’s going to wait until I get a little older to have a baby I’m just I need a digital pregnancy test cuz I need to know

  • Congratulations! Those numbers are super high! My first IVF two embryos took and my level was in the high 800’s. I am currently pregnant with my third child from a frozen embryo. Looking forward to hearing how your ultrasound goes.

  • I started watching you a couple of months ago in order to get myself ready for IVF. I just started birth control and my first IVF cycle starts July 9 with retrieval being around July 27th. We are doing PGS testing to icrease our chances, so I will be doing a frozen transfer sometime in late August or early September. Your channel helps very much and I greatly appreciate it. Congratulations!!

  • I’ve followed your journey for a while and finally subscribed when I kept searching for your videos and couldn’t miss one!

    Our story:
My husband and I met in June of 2007. It was the summer before our senior year of high school and we fell in love
My husband and I got married in August of 2016 and stopped using protection on our wedding night. May 2017 we got a positive pregnancy test and we went through all of the emotions that come with a positive test. Unfortunately 2 weeks later I had a miscarriage. On Father’s Day 2017 my husband had a really bad panic/anxiety attack and it relates to the miscarriage. We stopped ttc to focus on each other.

I recently went to my Gynecologist and she suggested that I do testing for PCOS. So I am currently in the midst of that. I have to do an HSG procedure my next cycle and she wants my hubby to have a semen analysis done.

Can’t wait to see if there is 1 or 2 little babes in there!

  • I was pregnant with my twins around the same time as you were, so I followed your journey very closely. Now going back and searching symptoms of twin pregnancies because my fourth time around and this one is EXTREME. Early pos, all day sickness, and that fatigue that only comes from twins. How crazy! Love your content ♡

  • Huge congratulations!!! So happy for you! Yes, crazy high beta! It also depends on the day you did it. I have twins and my beta wasn’t even at 500. But just happy with your strong one! ❤️

  • I love how honest you are! I just found out I am pregnant, and the symptoms of nausea, insomnia, and fatigue are just kicking my butt. I’m trying to be excited, but these symptoms are preventing me from being fully excited just like you said. Congratulations ❤

  • You’re story is beautiful! My hubby and I are starting step one next week!!! I’m nervous for the side effects of the meds and this whole journey

  • My story is We have been trying to conceive for seven years. We tried naturally for five with no results. We tried one year with Clomid for five months with no results. So we went to a fertility clinic because at this point we thought that it was odd that we weren’t pregnant by now. Turns out I have PCOS and wasn’t ovulating at all and my husband had very low motility. I was put on medicine and we did 3 IUIs these past 3 months. The first two failed and I am currently five days post iui On my third but I’m already sure this will fail as well. We don’t have the money for IVF and I don’t think we ever will. So if this one fails, we are giving up on having children as much of heartbreak it is.

  • Don’t apologize for being emotional in your last video! You have all rights to be emotional. Unless you’ve gone through infertility and IVF no one will know what that feeling is when you see that first positive! My beta #s were also high and we only transferred 1 but I did not have twins. My doctor said that sometimes the beta #s seem to be higher with IVF patients but either way, congratulations on your pregnancy!

  • My husband and I have been ttc for 3.5 years and we are about to start our first ever IUI either in Ju or August:). We have unexplained infertility. Fingers crossed it works! It brings me hope knowing that you guys had a successful IVF.

  • Do you eat crab seafood do you need any kind of seafood do you crave for spicy food what do you crave for do you cray for toast I mean what do you crave for girlfriend maybe I can help you try something to eat you know something like spices do you like spicy foods

  • Our numbers are just about the same and I just had my first ultrasound yesterday “we’re having twins”. I have to admit waiting two weeks for my ultrasound was soooo much worse than waiting on my beta.

  • I also found out yesterday that I am pregnant with twins! Mothers intuition because I told the ANP who done the sonogram to make sure it isn’t twins bc I’ve been having a feeling I am having twins. Super nervous! Hoping babies 2 & 3 will be girls

  • We just found out we are pregnant. first appointment is next week. I didn’t have any symptoms until I was watching your video eating a banana and felt nauseous. I threw it away immediately. Must avoid bananas they are from hell.

  • Watching your videos and following you had made me really hopeful ❤ we have been TTC for 5 years. Ectopic (removed tube), 2 miscarriages & 2 failed IVF cycles. We are gearing up for IVF (fresh) cycle #3 in September! I’m feeling super positive and just very blessed we are able to try one more time!!!!!! Thank you for your videos and congratulations to you and your hubby!

  • We did our first IUI in March and it was a success but unfortunately ended in miscarriage at 10 weeks due to a chromosomal abnormality. I just started Fermara for our second IUI at the end of this month! Soo happy for you

  • Thank you so much for these videos! I just found out I’m 7.5 week with fraternal twins and watching this video has made me feel better about everything. I’m having a VERY similar experience to everything you’re feeling including the emotional aspect and I’m glad I’m not alone and this is all very normal! I’ve even got my husband watching your videos so he understands exactly what I’ve been going through because I feel like I’m not verbalizing it all to him as well as I can.
Thank you and I can’t wait to watch each of your videos as the pregnancy progresses!

  • Your so beautiful and I am loving your vlogs you have any social madia I now I am a late person hope you don’t mind please reply back in waiting

  • Congrats!!!! I go for my first iui tomorrow, well it’s schedule. My husband started using a testosterone cream for ed not knowing it can drop his sperm count so they are going to check his count and I’m PRAYING we can still do it!

  • Had iui and was successful. My hcg text was low but it keep rising. Yup exactly how I felt when waiting for results. Different world. I hope both our babies stick.

  • Congrats on your positive. I had my transfer the day before yours. My husband and I have been trying to conceive for 6 1/2 years and found out June 8th that our transfer took. I’m just a little concern about my beta results they are a lot lower than what yours are and I also had two embryos transferred.

  • Hi! I’m new! My name is Tasia and I’m going through secondary infertility also. I’m going to try and explain in the shortest explanation as possible haha. We’ve been through so much I’ve been hospitalized from fertility meds and it’s just been such an emotional roller coaster. My fertility dr wants to start the process of iui in aug/sept. So i’m having a BUNCH of mixed emotions. I make youtube videos too and i’ve been filming my journey as well so if you wanna know more in-depth but I found your first video of your first beta results and i just had to subscribe. You’re such an inspiration overall and I’m so happy for you and sending you tons of prayers and positive thoughts for your entire pregnancy! looking forward to keeping up with the rest of your journey! god bless!

  • Congrats on ur beta levels. We’ve been trying for our new baby about a year now. Yes we do have children n because I have pcos it makes the journey a little longer n stressful. I just started a new cycle. My last one I was 16 days late all neg tests except a blue dye test was positive then we did a beta n it was 0.08 not even a 1:( then af started. I would love to have twins. I’m so excited for u. can’t wait to find out. r u going to vlog the ultrasound? Congrats again…..Danielle

  • Congratulations on the second beta, super exciting. We are embarking on our second round of IVF this August so I can totally relate to how you felt waiting for these results. Can’t wait for the ultrasound video update.

  • We will have our beta week 4 june 29 (two weeks after transfer). They transferred 2 8-cell embabies on day 3. If all goes well we will not have our ultrasound until the end of July/mid august. I think that wait is crazy but they want that ultrasound to be week 10 so 6 weeks later. I think that is not accurate. What are your thoughts?

  • So happy for you. I’m going through infertility as well, for almost 2 years now.. several medicated cycles and one failed IUI. Still trying.:) Praying for you

  • I have that app and I’ve been using it it lets you change to have it either if you’re having just one two single or Twins or multiples and it also lets you change the gender when you find out the gender

  • I’m so so happy for you! Here’s hoping you get your twins It’s so kind of you to think of those still suffering with infertility but always know you deserve to be happy and you’ve worked towards this too! You’ve got to be able to enjoy it and make videos about it should you choose. I hope no one takes that as you bragging about it because I know that’s not what you’re doing. It’s encouraging ❤️
