I’m here cuz I have mental breakdown cuz of my parents plus coronavirus, feel like I couldn’t get out of it and no longer want to stay but I’m practicing yoga and hope it helps, at least just to feel calmer and less stressed
wow.. just wow. I have severe generalized anxiety disorder and let me just say this made my nausea go away within five minutes of starting. The internet has said yoga really helps and i gotta say i 100% agree. This was amazing
These past few days. I always have this feeling that I’m going to pass out when I’m going to sleep. Do you think it’s part of panic or anxiety? I can’t get to see a doctor for now due to the pandemic situation here in my country. I’m really hopeless now
I don’t know what I would do without your videos right now Thank you for giving me a way to decompress during these uncertain times.
This practice was so therapeutic for me today. After a long day of working I entered the mat with somewhat of a depressed and frustrated energy. Not gonna lie it got a lil emotional there at the beginning! But by warrior I was feeling more resolute. And surely by the end I am feeling much more emotionally balanced. Its so true that the body holds stress. Thank you for this magic practice oh dear Adriene and Benji
I wasn’t expecting to do the full video even though I have the time but i was looking for a quick release for my anxiety. I ended up doing the full video but I was so relaxed that I didn’t even realize that it had been almost a half hour. Thank you for this video!
There are forest fires all around me pretty much here in Oregon right now. I have a lot of anxiety as I face the thought of evacuation and where in the world I would go. After I bought a tent (that will be here Sunday), I snuggled up to relax my anxiety with Adriene and the community. Thank you all for helping me to not feel quite so alone and afraid tonight.
I’ve been suffering with anxiety symptoms since 7th grade (I’m 19 now). Since the last year, my whole life turned upside down: I got diagnosed with BPD and Depersonalisation Disorder, I had to stand up to my abusive parents, I had to start taking the subway daily to get to uni which was extremely stressful to me and almost two months ago my boyfriend of 11 months broke up with me and left me devastated. Through all my pain, yoga really helped me relax and handle my anxiety. I hope you all relaxed with this, have an amazing day/night ♥️
It’s been 5 months and 16 days since lockdown has started. I am still unemployed. Fall is coming. I had so many things worrying me. I am so thankful for this practice. I am much more grounded and zen right now, snd ready for bed. Thank you so much Adrienne.
I find this breathing exercise somewhat challenging but I keep coming back to it. I had surgery to help my nose breathe better but my left side is still a bit slow!! Anyone else struggle with this?
Maybe the breathing technique is just not for my body.
Phew. Thank you for this. I was straight up going into a panic attack. The breathing with the nostrils thing in the beginning really helped.
I checked this out as I am suffering from bereavement. The second technique is a winner. This is exactly what I used to do to maximise my dive times 25 years ago. I always found shallow diving relaxing but didn’t realise it was to do with my breathing as I would breath in for 5 seconds then breath out for about 30 seconds. I’m currently breathing out for 15 seconds but will gradually extend the time with practice. Thanks.
I found this video a little more than a month ago. Initially, it was hard to even sit on the mat and concentrate on breathing. But as soon as I began the alternate nostril breathing practice, I felt some relief. Since then, alternate nostril breathing has become part of my morning and evening daily practice, along with your meditations and yoga videos. I can’t believe how much has changed in just a month of this practice. Thank you so much.
I’m going through a difficult time at the moment and you and your videos are like a daily ray of sunshine. So helpfulthank you:) Namaste x
Thank you. My anxiety was bad the last two days. We had to leave home due to loss of power (Hurricane Laura). I am home now and SO THANKFUL> I needed this. my body and mind were crying out. Thank you. Namaste all.
I am fighting with anxiety and panic attacks for 5 years now so practices like this one really help me. Thanks for this beautiful video.
If I”m in a space where I can’t really do the yoga poses, I sometimes just the follow along to the first section of alternate nostril breathing to relieve anxiety as it pops up, and it helps so much! Thanks a lot Adriene
Today I woke up so upset and stressed out. I was going to apply for a day off at work because I was feeling miserable for no reason at all, maybe just the covid circumstances. I skipped today’s Inquire (August 2020) practice to go back and do this one, and I cant tell you how much better I feel!! I am so grateful to you Adriene! A little really does go a long way. Thank you for impacting millions of lives with your positivity.
Lots of love from India x
Dear Jo, great tips you shared. I’ll work from now onwards.
Please keep it on to share very useful tips with us. We are eagerly waiting your next after next videos.
This was so relaxing and very helpful, thank you Adriene for making the world a better place, we appreciate and love you. Keep shining ♥️✨♥️
Hello Adriene! My 68 year old husband and I (70) started doing your “30 days of yoga” about a week into quarantine. We had a program of exercise, so we weren’t true beginners and I’ve probably been doing yoga for about 50 years, on and off. That said we are now on around day 90 of yoga! We’ve been through three of your programs and one week did a lot of single-video workouts. Our bodies have changed, our minds have changed and we are committed to doing this for the rest of our lives. My husband is a large man and it warms my heart to see him doing this. This particular workout has done so much for us 16 weeks in quarantine and loads of anxiety has been quelled by “Yoga for Anxiety.” Thanks you so much Adriene! And thank Benji!
I think this is one of my favorite YWA videos! By the way, I’m Christian so I prefer to thank God and Jesus aloud instead of saying Namaste And I also bow/surrender to God (vs. the big picture/things we can’t control). Was curious if any other Christians out there do that too? Thank you very much for your hardwork and help Adrienne
Adriene, how do you sit like that?! I always end up in a cross legged position because I can’t get into it properly. Could you let us know some tips please?
Thank you for this, Adriene. I’ve lived with an anxiety disorder for over ten years, and this pandemic has been a huge trigger for me, which has led me to re-discovering yoga. Your content is the gentle, compassionate guidance I needed tonight.
This is my go to video when I have anxiety. I don’t always have anxiety but this video has saved me so many times. The breathing technique from one nostril to another is so helpful. I can’t express how thankful I am for you making this video.
Hi Dr

I didn’t know I needed this. But boy I did. My day has changed. Thank you
On a side note, I found your YouTube channel in lockdown and for the whole season yoga has changed my life. I went to my first ever live yoga class yesterday and it was amazing! I can’t thank you enough for bringing yoga into my life which I have now fallen in love with
Here we are for day 21 of INQUIRE. A much needed practice for everyone especially in the present world right now. Detox all the negative vibes and restore your inner piece. Thank you Adriene, Benjie, and the YWA team. Cheers!

Debilitating Insomnia (an hour to an hour and a half per night) has me off the chart anxious and short of breath. Adriene is my anchor and I am trying to hold steady and let go of the fear. Love you, Adriene. Grateful..

choked on some food, the whole thing made me panic Y.Y to make it worse i was on my own, so no one to help. i might be over reacting because it was just a bit of food but it was really scary.
Tomorrow I have my drivers test, which I was pretty anxious about…I knew I needed to do some Yoga to relieve some of the stress. This was lovely. Now I know I’ll get a goodnight rest and rock my test tomorrow! Thank you.
Just woke up feeling alittle out of sorts to today, and lack of good quality sleep last night has just heightened the way I’m feeling, so I neeeded a hug of gentle yoga this morning. Namaste xo
How can I turn my “why am I doing this… this is useless…” thought off. I am having trouble staying positive while doing this exercise. Thank you ❤
this session made me realize one of my septums is fucked up and can’t breathe properly through it so every time i try to do the breathing practice i get more stressed
I have been diagnosed with anxiety and BPD at the end of last year. This will really help me to calm down and relax. It will also help my ADD that i have had since i was 6 0r 7 years old.
