  • I started 12/8 3 months ago first month l lost 2 to 3 pounds then nothing but have not gain. My benefit is that my acid reflux completely stopped, no more chewing 4 to 6 chalk like or expensive rolaids or tums had bottles at home in my purse in my car since starting 12/8 i have not gotten any symptoms. And im not even doing the super hardcore stuff that he does. This diet works! No supplements, no extras, just determination. My resting heart rate before I started keto was 62-64 day or night, now as I’m doing IF my RHR during the day is almost never under 70 (usually 75) but sometimes under 60 at night, has anyone else noticed similar changes in RHR?

  • I fast everyday the last 1 month and I’ve lost 22lbs. Those 8 hours I eat meat/veggies. I eat zero carbs. My eating times are noon and 5:30pm. I don’t eat after 6pm. I drink my coffee with coffee mate flavor creamer. Idc

  • Fasting should help you loose weight due to the lower calorie intake, that whole colon thing is baseless mumbo science. If you begin eating again normal you will gain it back either way.
    Cleanses and detoxes are myths. Just make sure to follow any extreme diet with the help of specialized nutriologists.

  • My boyfriend and I have been doing this fasting for a few weeks,and we’ve both lost 11 pounds. Going to try to keep this going until the end if the year. Drinking black coffee or tea in the morning helps SO much. We also cut out pork/beef. Almonds-nuts are great snacks as well. We both have way more energy and have mentally been feeling better. My window is from 11am-7pm,and his is 1pm-9pm. I will try to keep posting updates. Don’t give up,it’s really worth it.

    So let’s say if I just go in and just blow out at like 4500 cal once a month at a buffet, and what’s the drink craft beer for a couple of days so I gained about 3 pounds of body fat in like four days, than all I have to do is just go down to say 1100 cal a day for one or two days
    I could lose the 3 pounds of body fat in like two days so you can lose a shit load more body fat than what this gentleman is saying in the video depends on your genetics and stuff like that but you could easily lose between a third of a pound and a pound and a half a day just depends on your biology mostly
    I do this all the time I’ll just go down to Mexico like once a month and just gorge for like four days on whatever crap I want then if I get back if I’m heavy I just burn that shit off in like three days just go down to 1100 cal for three days and it freaking gone

  • I thought about trying this, but I have not been able to lose weight even eating 1-2 smal meals a Day for nanny years. I put my body into starvation mode and it sends to hang on to every pound!! I’ve tried several diets but nothing so far that has helped me lose more than 19 lbs and gain back about half of those in no time. I had a hysterectomy which caused me to gain 60 lbs in 2 months!!   • I have a basic question that  am hoping you can answer. I have been on a LCHF regimen for some months with pretty good results. I seemed to have stalled several weeks ago. I then became aware of intermittent fasting. I immediately started to lose weight again. All of my readings, i.e., A1C, glucose, etc. are going in the right direction. I have lost about 32 pounds with another 25 pounds to go. Let’s assume that I will reach this goal. At that point my T2D will probably not be there any longer. Here’s my question, at that point is my T2D just controlled (lurking in the background) or would I no longer have T2 diabetes? In other words, will I need to continue the intermittent fasting for the rest of my life to avoid being a T2 diabetic again?

  • 10 pounds. that’s how much I lost while intermittent fasting and weight training for a month. now my body refuses to lose anymore weight. I just keep getting down to 260 then gaining and losing the same two pounds over and over again for the last few weeks.

    I’ve tried restricting more calories, eating more calories, having a “refeed” day, and drinking even more water. the only thing I haven’t tried yet is just not eating for an entire day.
    I don’t know how my body is maintaining 260 pounds when I’m barely eating 1800 calories AND lifting for 90 minutes a day, 4-5 days a week. it just doesn’t make sense.

  • IF is not a diet, and the diet you’re actually on while on IF will determine how much you lose (and your body, age, initial weight, etc); also the kind of IF you do. I know people who eat pure garbage on a 16/8 and manage to lose 2-4 lbs a month. Not much… should see their diet.

  • I’d add that it depends upon your weekly caloric intake. Eat too far below maintenance or have a suboptimal nitrogen balance and you will lose muscle as you would with any other diet. Otherwise, great stuff as always.

  • I started adf in February 2020. I did 40:8. I lost 26 lbs in about 6 weeks and I ate whatever I wanted during my 8 hour window. Burgers, Krispy Kreme donuts, Anything I wanted. When the quarantine started I got off my plan and gained back over 20 lbs. I started adf again 2 weeks ago and I’m already down 11 lbs. I have to weigh myself in the morning, so hopefully I’ll be down even more. I’m going to stay away from a lot of the foods I ate the first time and try to eat healthier this time around, I don’t want every 8 hour window to consist of horrible foods lol. I will have a burger or donuts here and there because dammit I deserve it but not every 8 hour window. I feel If you do this correctly you should lose at least 5 lbs a week.

  • I’ve been doing IF ( 22/2) for over two years now. Look at the thumbnail pick the check out how thick and cut you can stay depending on your genetics!
    I eat about 2000 average calories per day about 90 to 120 g of protein per day probably 200 g of total carbohydrate quite a bit of fat probably 50 g of fat or moreso basically I eat for 2 hours Per day and then fast for 22 hours. I think with this is superior to a regular diet is that it suppresses the hunger hormone Ghrelin when you are in a fasted state. Give it a try it works for me and I plan on doing this for the rest of my life

    so like.. i did eat just a little.. literally a small handful of fries.. BUT i have so far lost 2 inches on my waist and i’m assuming it’s the bloating that’s gone. I am 18 years old. im still going to continue but this time i will actually stay away from junk food.

  • great information, thank you:) I’ve just started intermittent fasting and I can easily do 16-8 without really feeling hungry…my only concern is because of my work schedule I have to do my workout in the morning (I’ve been always doing my workout first thing in the morning/fasted,but I had breakfast afterwards) now I do my workout around 7 am (I do weight training and HIIT) and then my first meal is a protein shake around 12:30pm then a light lunch around 2:30/3pm. is that alright?   • Yeah, I too am guilty of jumping through weight loss plan to others as well, I do believe that I need to have tested every weight loss method that was available, but eventually not one of them made it easier for me to reduce and maintain the weight off.
