Visualization With The Senses. One of the best methods of visualization for stress reduction is to visualize something and use your five senses to explore the visualization. This not only relaxes you, but it also grounds you and can be used to help combat anxiety as well as stress.

For this exercise, you will think of your happy place. Visualization is another powerful technique that can help you unwind and relieve stress. Visualization involves using mental imagery to achieve a more relaxed state of mind. Similar to daydreaming, visualization is accomplished through the use of your imagination.

Guided imagery helps lower anxiety, stress and blood pressure, reduces the severity of headaches and even strengthens immune functioning. You can do visualization or guided imagery (with a CD or tape) on your own. To begin: Go to a room where. Visualization and imagery (sometimes referred to as guided imagery) techniques offer yet another avenue for stress reduction. These techniques involve the systematic practice of creating a detailed mental image of an attractive and peaceful setting or environment.

Guided imagery can be practiced in isolation, but it is frequently paired with physical relaxation techniques such as progressive muscle. Many people use guided visualization for that very purpose: to relax and refuel, since there are a variety of physical health benefits to guided visualization. These include a lowering of blood. Visualization is not an anxiety cure.

What it is, is a relaxation strategy that makes it much easier for you to cope with your anxiety symptoms during periods of high stress. In a way, it’s simply a method of giving you a “break” from your stress so that it doesn’t control your life. This relaxation script is for overcoming shyness. Use guided imagery, affirmations, and visualization to foster a sense of self-confidence and help decrease social anxiety. Becoming More Playful It begins by guiding you to relax your mind, and then use visualization, meditation, and imagery to get in touch with your inner playfulness.

Visualization Breathing: Releasing Your Stress. Get into a comfortable position, close your eyes, and start diaphragmic breathing. As you inhale, imagine that all the stress in your body is coming from your extremities and into your chest. “Visualization is the act of creating a strong, detailed mental image or thought about a peaceful and attractive setting or environment.

It is also a vital part of meditation. Along with focus and determination, the emotion that the imaginary setting evokes becomes dynamic and powerful, ultimately allowing us to relieve stress and get rid of. To relax using visualization, try to incorporate as many senses as you can, including smell, sight, sound and touch.

If you imagine relaxing at the ocean, for instance, think about the smell of salt water, the sound of crashing waves and the warmth of the sun on your body.

  • A year or so ago, I was looking for some guided meditation to help me not only fall asleep, but stay asleep. I usually have a bit of a time doing both. I listened to a few and they just didn’t do it for me. Then I discovered this one. I was usually out before even entering the garden! I hadn’t done any guided meditation for a while. I’m not sure why. I found this one again last night. I still had a hard time, but when I did sleep, it was a decent one. I need to use more of yours to find one that is ALL guided meditation. I usually have a problem when it comes to the 1 minute self guided part (or others that are longer). My brain, no matter how concentrated I am on what you are saying, will immediately go to “all tabs open” if I try to do my own. I remember having this problem before now. Thank you for your videos!

    I sometimes would get to sleep until 3/4 in the morning. Which wasn’t very helpful with school as I get up at 6:30. But your channel has helped so much, I still take a while too get to get to sleep, but not as long as I used too, It really helps me too relax.

  • I love your sleep visualisations, they are phenomenal. The island one is my favourite. I get anxiety when I fly and always shut my eyes and imagine myself laying on the hammock back on my private island and it works wonders. Please make more! They are the best types of sleep hypnosis! I am always out within minutes and have a very active photographic mind and memory so sleep visualisation is exciting and feels as though I have gone to a retreat! However odly enough this particular one gives me traumatic nightmares:/ I thought it was just a bad sleep but it happens everytime I listen to it x

  • This is a pretty wonderful meditation and it really helps me to fall back to sleep when I’d wide awake in the middle of the night. I really like the part about breathing and holding my breath and the different colored leaves. At the same time, towards the end there is something about sitting on a rock and then getting up and brushing the moss of my clothes. I would like to suggest that you place a wonderful park bench at that location of the virtual walk to provide the imagery of physical comfort. Thanks.

I am just one of many millions whose life has been up-ended by a lockdown under COVID-19 and it was a particularly stressful winter day trying to keep my toddler granddaughter amused indoors while her parents tried to work from home. I will be strong for us all again tomorrow. Peace and love to everyone who is suffering through this pandemic, and thank you again Jason.

  • Thank you Jason for this meditation. I have listened to this so many times and it’s never failed to work. Your voice is extremely relaxing, recently this video has made my living bearable, just knowing I can escape in it.

  • Does anyone else get palpitations and related symptoms for unknown reasons? I have passed stressed and anxiety tests. Passed EKG, x ray, echo and csrdiologists says everything looks fine and I’m fine. I may stress a little with work but not much more than avg person I would say. Annoying not knowing the cause of palpitations for me. Happens couple times a week randomly

It’s really been helping me with much stress in my life I try to focus on every word you’re saying and when I’m able to I really able to relax my body and my mind and my soul my dog even likes it when I tell him we’re listening to Uncle Jason LOL his ears perk up and he starts to bark cuz he knows your voice. I have an anxious Little Chihuahua. Also I share a lot of your videos with friends and family and I always like everything you do. You are a blessing to many and an inspiration. When I was younger I used to make my own meditational recordings on my old tape recorder back in the 70s LOL and they really helped me at the time. I never knew they were called meditations back then though, I just knew I like the sound of my voice it was relaxing to me it was like I stepped out of myself to help myself get through stuff in life at the time. Still doing it strong today at 46 just not listening to my own voice all the time anymore. I guess I’m a self-help junkie and that’s not a bad thing it’s a good thing and if some think it is a Bad Thing I can think of many many many worse things you can be LOL Anyway much gratitude mate thanks again!   • Hi Jason. I wake with high level of anxiety. I love your voice and find it comforting. I struggle with this particular meditation. Having my thinking drawn to the stars and universe terrifies me. I find the music and the voice cold and scary. I feel I need a meditation that is a warm safe nest. The kind of thing that would make a frightened child or small animal feel safe enough to relax in. Being exposed to the wide open space and existential levels is too much for me. Thank you for all you share with us. I know this is right for some people. kxx

  • I don’t agree with meditations including parts that tell me what I’m feeling. You don’t know what I’m feeling in any moment and I prefer letting feelings come naturally (and being ok with whatever I’m feeling at the moment) and not feeling like I have to force myself to feel whatever. Otherwise, had a great time listening to this.

  • I’m a therapist and I almost always use this meditation with clients who have never meditated before and they’ve all reported wonderful experiences with it. Most of them go on to make meditation a regular practice. So glad it exists!

  • I am an empath and for about ten years I have been receiving narcissistic emotional abuse from my brother. I try to conserve my energy and not give it away to my narc brother. This guided meditation helps me to forget about this stress and focus on more important things xx ♥️ thank you for this meditation and God Bless.   • the imagery of a white tower has become a powerful symbol in my life, and this meditation has been a blessing.

    I’m sure you know this already from the many other people commenting but I want to know the world of good and healing you provided for me. There is a lot of pain and misery out there in the world. Giving people like me respite from that, providing some guidance and healing from it is noble and wonderful.

    I hope anyone reading can keep these good feelings and bring more of it into their reality. Life is a wonderful gift and I hope everyone can live full of wonder and joy.

  • Do you have your music track for this? Sometimes id like to visualize it on my own without the prompts and the music puts me in a trance. I’ve checked out your binaural beats channel and like it but I really like the music track behind the video and another one. I’ve listened to your prompts a few times and would like to try it without as much ‘options’ in some other guided meditations as that tends to distract me from actually visualizing sometimes because I can’t settle on a ‘thing/location’ or let it naturally manifest in my inner-mind after you’ve mentioned ‘15 things’. I could legit have an image in my head and then you tell me to focus on the possibilities and I lose it. The music is 100% the best as it’s stimulating and not sleep worthy. If possible could you share a link to your background music?

  • This is the only meditation video that actually make me feel really “light”!! The time when the sea water come, my body feels like flying. Like my soul is going out my body!!   • One of the best ive ever listened,id say around 15 mins in I could visually see everything he was describing,the visuals were coming in waves then faded away,not sure what happened but I got this falling sense you know the feeling when you nod off and you get the instinctive feeling your going to fall off the chair? kind of felt like that but then it faded straight it,I wonder if thats my third eye trying to open but im not fully embracing it as of yet?

I honestly didn’t think that even your soothing voice & incredible gift with guided visualizations would help me to release the tension I felt going in to this meditation today. I remember struggling to stop focusing on the tightness in my chest & trying to slow down my breathing, about to give up. But the next thing I knew I could not feel my arms & legs. I was IN that garden! I could feel the dampness in the air, the sun’s warmth on my forehead, could see the birds and even smell the rain. Absolutely blissful! I will be visiting this garden frequently. Thanks for all you do for us! You are amazing!:)

  • I’m an early riser, by midday I’m burnt out. I listen to this while using my accupuncture mat, sometimes I fall alsp, sometimes I don’t but I know for the first couple of minutes into this due to some movements I do on the mat and the breathing technique you use sir makes me hear some cracks like I’m at a chiropractor.   • This is one of my most favorite meditations. The sea, the music, and your voice merge harmoniously, and I feel quite at peace. Furthermore the meditation evoked a precious memory of my late husband, who, recovering from an illness, was able to walk down to the beach, immerse his toes and feet in the wet sand, feel the rush of the waves, coming and going, and look up to the cobalt blue sky and thank God for life. Every meditation awakens an important memory, and for that I am very grateful.
