The Schwarzbein Principle was written to share this program with youùto tell the truth about losing weight, being healthy and feeling younger, by first focusing on this principle: Degenerative diseases are not genetic but acquired. Because the systems of the human body are interconnected and because one imbalance creates another imbalance, poor eating and lifestyle habits, not genetics are the cause of. The truth is that even maintaining weight is difficult. Losing weight is even worse, so you will feel hungry, and you just have to accept this. The discipline required not to overeat or eat less than you need requires a high degree of willpower.

In the world of weight loss, people are always searching for the newest, greatest, easiest, most effective way to shed pounds. But the basic concepts remain the same: eat less, move more. Sorry, there’s no magic bullet. Losing weight might take work, but the payoffs are huge.

The truth is losing weight isn’t scary at all. It’s a challenging process, but one that is more than worth it! You’re going to find that reaching your ideal weight will help you feel healthier, lighter, more motivated, and better able to help those around you. Isn’t that such a blessing?

Weight management is about so much more than what you eat and how much you move. Having the right conversations with a health care provider can make all the difference. We’ve got some tips for how to start the conversation. Losing weight is a marathon, not a sprint. So take it slow.

Focus on one habit at a time. And above all, believe in yourself and your ability to take control of your health and your future. Because the real truth about weight loss is this: whether you think. Food is broken down into fuel for the body by a process called metabolism.

After weight loss, metabolism slows down and gets more efficient, requiring fewer calories to do its job. Hormonal signals can also change. The brain increases the hunger hormone called ghrelin, which tries to get you to eat more calories.

  • Hello! Thanks for this useful video. By the way, I notice a lot of people keep on talking about Custokebon Secrets (do a google search), but I’m not sure if it is good. Have you considered Custokebon Secrets? I have heard many amazing things about it and my buddy lost a ton of weight with it, but she refuses to tell me:(

  • Do natural popular lose weight secrets like Custokebon Secrets really work and if so, how effective are they? We’ve heard many amazing things about this popular weight loss diet plan.

  • My super skinny, vegan, Asian, sister in law said “But if you decrease your portion sizes, doesn’t your stomach shrink and just get used to eating that much?”

    Oh sweetheart…

  • Does Custokebon Secrets really help to lost crazy amounts of fat? We’ve read numerous good stuff about this popular fat burn methods.

  • This video is kinda misleading. Your body might reduce energy expense when you’re taking in less calories, but it won’t necessarily reduce it to the point that it makes up for all of the calories lost. Also, this reduced expense is unconscious, and can always be made up for with conscious effort, aka exercise.

From a health standpoint, yes, not all calories are equal. Some foods are packed with healthy nutrients, while others are basically just tasty garbage. But if your goal is weight loss, you still need to take calories-in vs calories-out, into account. You can still get fat, or stay fat, eating healthy food, if you eat too much.

  • Happy and proud of you! You inspire me to love myself more and I need to realize that God loves me and helps me with everything!!! God Bless

  • Guys, build muscle doesn’t have to be difficult (I used to think it did). I’ll give you some advice right now. Search a diet plan known as Custokebon Secrets. Seriously, that course has changed my life. I probably shouldn’t even be talking about it cause I don’t want a bunch of other folks out there running the same “game” but whatever, I’m in a great mood today so I will share the wealth haha.

  • This should have ended with possible solutions to overcoming these issues; tricking the body, so to speak. Instead y’all give me this depressing news and then go “thanks for watching!”

  • This dude isnt even a Nutritionist and you’ll take his word, quoting a study from 100 years ago??

Dont be a moron. Train harder than last time

  • What exactly is Custokebon Secrets? How does this thing really work? I notice a lot of people keep on talking about this popular fat burn methods.

  • what did I hear? Its pretty much impossible to lose weight as a regular person.
Especially as a teen cause I cant tell my mom to feed me what i want she just gives me needles, chicken, burgers, tacos, meatloaf, fries, tator tots, steak and fries, subway, pizza, and sometimes whatever I can scrap up

  • Kian, can I just say you are absolutely beautiful. But honestly, it’s your kindness and joy that makes you radiant Just a practical tip for dieting, find healthy foods that you absolutely love eating! Don’t come at dieting from a mindset of restriction! Just add healthy yummy things to enjoy:) btw, love listening to worship music while working out too! God bless!

  • Dr. Freilich-a question for you. In your opinion are HR based models of Fitbit more accurate at tracking calories burned than non-HR?

  • A question for you. When using Fitbit app, do I track standing activities such as cooking or folding laundry? I noticed that if I stand without making steps Fitbit registers same calories burned as sleeping.

  • Well I think I’m more active than average people my age (exercising every day if possible…body weight workouts and mountain biking), I eat healthier than average people my age (vegetarian diet with lots of fresh vegetables and low amounts of starchy carbs and no junk food), my calorie intake is probably ridiculously low, I even started taking creatine and protein powder…and I’m still stuck at 30%+ body fat…So I don’t think this generally applies to everyone.

  • What are you waiting for to lose weight? Know Lipoblue the alternative to ( ketosisalp.tk/) paste in the browser and remove the spaces

  • Loosing weight is difficult if you are on a high carbohydrate diet (AKA American diet). Try Keto and you’ll lose weight without having to starve yourself.

  • I would love to help you on achieving your optimal health!

Incorporating fulvic in your body can also: improve gut health, enhance circulation, improve brain function, help nutrients absorb better, detox heavy metals/toxins, and more. Once your body is functioning properly, it is so easy to shed the weight. I am finally able to lose weight after struggling! I have never seen a supplement like this.

  • This guy is seriously stupid and thinks he can break the law of thermodynamics. Watch Coach Greg and learn what you need to hear rather then what you want to hear!

  • One builds muscle and one builds fat. Either way, being in a caloric deficit causes weight loss, and how you eat determines if you lose more fat or more muscle. The opposite goes for a caloric surplus. It’s as simple as that, look into it.

  • If you eat in a caloric deficit you lose weight, if you eat in a caloric surplus you gain weight. Hormones, genetics, metabolism, etc, are all relevant but its calories in vs out that matters at the end of the day.

  • This is going to be an awesome summit…I can’t wait for it and hear all the great WFPB doctors and dietitians that will speak. Thank you Chef AJ for organizing it. You are awesome in the work you do for people. I love your straight forwardness!

  • Having a servants heart is most important. Yes health and fitness is good for your sake of being healthy and not about appearance like society has taught us. Giving your time really helps and helping others and volunteering your time is also good for your emotions. It’s not about being happy but these things do help bring abundant Joy and peace!

  • Anyone tried the Custokebon Secrets? I’ve heard several great things about it and my buddy lost crazy amounts of weight with Custokebon Secrets (look on google search engine).

  • Ooo Lord I feel ya…. have u tried like starting kinda slowly like transitioning slowly? Like instead of drinking soda for 7 days I will try to drink water and moving so on and so on?

Edit: sometimes we just need to cry it out to the Lord I’m happy ur encouraged!!!

  • Honestly, I know it’s really hard for you, but that moment where you felt at your lowest really resonated with me so much. Because I’m so uncomfortable with my body. And when I get motivated to workout and eat healthy I get so discouraged and end up falling back into my old habits and it just makes me mentally miserable. I really need Jesus’ strength bc without Him I just don’t think I can do it anymore.

  • Great content here. I love this. Do you also know you can lose weight and make money at the same time? Check this out: https:// bit. ly/2tUA9m1 (remove the spaces please). Thank you

  • Thank you for the clarification. I have been researching dieting information as a lay person for years. Yours was the most consolidating of all good diet research I have read or viewed to date. It is, largely behavioural. I will be sharing your video with friends.
One further question has kept coming to mind since I watched your presentation. That is, once the weight is lost, it takes diligence to keep it off. In fact most serious researchers will point out that unless lifestyle changes have been made, the probability that the weight will return, perhaps even more, is very high. You were successful in losing a good deal of weight fairly quickly (and with a punishing calorie restriction….1500 per day). How long has it been since achieving that goal? Have you any other insights about keeping it off, or if you have regained what did you observe?

  • Give it up to God girl! If you can find a way to view this as a lifestyle change and fuelling/taking care of your body, the results will come. You are beautiful for starters and you are not your body or your weight. Take care of you, take care of your mental health because that’s what is important.

  • Something that helped me a lot on my journey was limiting the mirrors in my house. It helped me to not see my body as much, so that I was forced to focus on how working out made me feel rather than how my body looked. I don’t know if that will help you but I wanted to share Incase it might. You are beautiful and I hope you can achieve all that you desire Kian!

  • I read many superb opinions on the internet about how Custokebon Secrets (look on google search engine) can assist you lost crazy amounts of weight. Has any one tested out this popular fat loss system?

  • Sooo…. once you start dieting you have to keep eating less and less to not gain it back and now you just left me here feeling hopeless while I was waiting for the “here’s what to do about it”

  • This is SUCH BS. It’s a shame how such a big channel is spreading this misinformation.

It’s CALORIES IN VS CALORIES OUT. Anything else, may help or it may not, but it comes down to calories.

  • Just signed up! Looks like a great lineup, looking forward to it, especially with all the positive energy you bring to everything!

  • Eat lean protein and vegetables, drink only water, train your muscles hard 5 days a week, then come back to me and say you can’t lose weight. Until then I don’t want to hear the excuses.

  • Me: Right I’m a bit fat so let’s restrict some calories and work out in order to lose that fat
My body: hey there, it looks like you’re starving, so I’m just not going to burn your body fat so you don’t die. You’re welcome!

  • GUYS.
DON’T LISTEN TO THIS VIDEO PLEASE.

You can lose weight. Simply eat at a calorie deficit and be patient, it’s how I lost 10kg in 3 months. I know it’s gonna be hard at the beginning, but overtime you will get used to it and it will become a daily routine.

First, find out your maintenance calories by searching up a TDEE calculator.

Then, minus 300-800 calories from your maintenance and eat that number of calories everyday. You are now at a caloric deficit.

What you will need is a calorie counter app, my favorites are MyFitnessPal and LoseIt, they are all free to use.
Get yourself a food and weight scale, you will be using these a lot so it’s okay to spend money on an accurate one.

That’s it. That’s all you need to do. Keep doing this and surround yourself by people who support you and will encourage you in your journey. Count every single thing you eat, don’t cheat yourself. If you can add exercise, that will be useful especially to maintain your muscles but EXERCISE IS NOT NECESSARY FOR WEIGHT-LOSS, only changing your diet is.

Good luck! If you have any questions, feel free to ask me or you can go over to the r/LoseIt subreddit which gives you full details on everything.

  • Hi I didn’t start losing weight unit read this amazing book on the right type of foods to eat. If you want

this FREE e-book [email protected] on [email protected] gmail.com saying, please send me the free

E-book and I will send it over to you. it worked wonders for me!

  • There are a lot of things one can do to lose weight and eating less and moving more are two important steps to achieve that. for more please visit here https://www.favefooddiet.com/Video/?hop=reba1029

  • To everyone who is now sad because the video didn’t say how to lose fat, here’s the answer:

    If you’re overweight, build muscle.

Muscle uses calories doing nothing. So having more muscle on you means you’ll burn more calories just resting. You won’t have to eat less to only stay fat, and you’ll lose fat over time.

  • If you consume less calories than you use you lose fat. Consume more and you gain. That doesn’t mean however that the amount of fat you lose or gain is solely determined by how many calories you eat. Which is where i believe this analysis would come in. As in sure mayne 2000 calories of big macs daily would make you chubby while 2000 calories of chicken and vegetables wouldn’t. But still only eat 1000 calories of Big Macs a day and you will lose weight.

  • My favorite breakfast right now is 2 eggs, scrambled with a little chopped red onion and spinach! I put it all together in a skillet with a teaspoon of olive oil. Then I it put in a bowl and sprinkle a little feta cheese on top! It keeps me super full until lunch

  • its that and also how often do you eat?
if you eat between breakfeast, diner and than souper, you will certainly gain more weight BUT, if instead of eating between you would drink water of juice instead, it would make a difference
or just don’t eat between those times,

  • Modify what you eat mrs. and keep calorie deficit with vegetables, fruits and more protein and make yourself enjoy your diet.. so you can do it for a long time.. it helped me a lot.. have one or two cheat days it will help you not to be bored with that eats.. Good luck!!!:)

  • Maybe it’s different for different people. I’ve calorie counted a 40+ lbs loss of body fat (male, from 211 to under 170). But I slowly reduced calories over time, losing <1 lb per week. Maybe that helped me trick the body into avoiding the slowing of my metabolism.

  • It seems like its really really important to not gain the weight in the first place. People need to become more proactive about avoiding obesity. Even if you think “Ive always been able to eat whatever I want and I never gain weight anyways” its probably a good idea to be mindful.

  • I just bought your book and I had roasted veggies for lunch. AND I’m not hungry. . And so did my husband and kid. I should have made more. Whoda thought?

  • Why your not losing fat the truth is insulin brotha. You never had an insulin problem because you ate clean and lifted weights your whole life so you stayed extremely insulin sensitive. But the general public has an insulin problem. Their insulin is always high, storing fat, and in starvation
mode. Lowering insulin is the key to weight loss. That is why Keto, Carnivore and fasting diets work to lower insulin and lose weight.

  • You definitely need to find something fun to do to move your body. I’ve given up trying to work out like other people do. I’m like your I end up hyper focused on every bite. I’ve finally decided to eat Plant based vegan and not weighing and measuring food. It’s so freeing. You are beautiful the way you are.

  • I haven’t included processed meat/grains/dairy or anything with added sugars in my 1200 calorie diet in 3 months and I’m stuck at 225 pounds. Granted, down from 320, but I still feel like I’m in the 30-40% category and you telling me that my problem is not white rice instead of brown rice, but eating too much french fries or toast crunch or whatever when in fact I haven’t touched any food that was fried or made with flour is a bit aggravating.

  • I’m not even lying when I say that your beautiful and as long as you eat healthy, don’t beat yourself up for it. Strive for health, not to lose weight. I’ve personally found this goal to be more sustainable. I also recommend eating turmeric and raw garlic at least once a week because this will help with inflammation and detoxing ur body. Super good for health. And also no added sugars. Trust me, once you stop focusing on weight and focus more on health, you will feel so much better about yourself and you might even lose weight. Also listen to your body, eat till your satiated. and pray to God that He may give you strength

  • It’s still CI:CO, different foods may have different thermic effects, but that counts towards CO. A 100 calories of protein takes more energy to digest than a 100 calories of fat. Thus eating fattier foods means you’re taking in the same amount of calories, but you are not burning off as many calories.

  • Girl. That car convo. Amen amen amen. I’ve struggled with my weight my entire life. And I need to lose a lot of weight. But right now I’m trying so hard to focus on the positive results in the way that I feel and not the way that I look. That shift of mentality can be super helpful. Thank you for this video! It was encouraging ❤️

  • Firstly you are amazing. I’ve recently discovered your channel. What you said in the car could have been me as I feel exactly the same. I am still trying to love myself or even just like myself would be a start

  • Many people today are working to find out the best way to drop weight. Then again, being able to find a diet plan that will work for you is hard to discover. A crucial thing you want to comprehend is that a diet that works for one person may not work for another. And that means you have to understand what your getting into before you begin one of those diets. Therefore we’ve opted to give you a fantastic look in the Xtreme Fat Loss Diet. This may give you enough information to find out whether this is something which is suitable to your needs. Read more here https://truehealthreport.com/xtreme-fat-loss-diet-review/

  • Excellent presentation Dr. Freilich! Hopefully more people will stumble on this well researched, intelligent and hope giving video.

  • Caloric deficit with eating whole unprocessed foods is generally the best way to diet. People who are insulin resistant definitely need unprocessed foods with a sharp restriction of high glycemic carbs. The end.

  • Is Custokebon Secrets helpful to lost crazy amounts of fat? I have read a lot of good things about this popular lose weight secrets.

  • Girl… we need to be friends. I understood you on a different level through this video. Every single thing you said in your car has gone through my head. I’ve constantly gone through mental breakdowns due to my weight and trying to lose it. This has been the most relatable video ever. I’ve never seen someone with so much transparency in a YouTube video. You are doing amazing girl and one thing Jesus has shown me is that when we hate on our bodies or our looks, it hurts His heart. Love ya girl ❤️

  • Start with eating only natural while organic. Whole foods meaning f veggies some fruit and some meat natural sources no junk but start changing what poof eating habits like healthy breakfast for example not donuts sodas breads fast-food junk thwn after diet even just walking daily you’ll be slim and feel better fitness it extra but won’t bw healthy I’d you way a junk foods diet. Look into metabolic. Typing and see which diet is for your individual needs it for us on quality and what macros are healthy for your genetics not calories only good luck. If your healthy ancestors couldn’t eat it don’t lol.

  • Run starve run starve run starve… you will lose weight fast! Just don’t over do it or you will die fast too! You gotta do it periodically!

  • He doesn’t mention it, or it was edited out, but the hormone that determines weight loss and weight gain, is insulin. When your insulin is high, you store fat. When your insulin is low, your body uses fat for energy.

1 gram of carbohydrate is roughly 4 “calories”. 1 gram of oil/fat is roughly 9 “calories”. And your body processes, and responds to, carbs and oils/fats differently.

Without knowing exactly what the macros are, saying 100 calories is meaningless. That’s The point he’s trying to make.

  • So it basically comes down to your determination in loosing weight. If you come back to unhealthy or excessive diet you will gain weight even more. World is filled with companies and their ‘products’ for fast and easy weight loss because people would like to loose weight without making them self uncomfortable. Many diets for ‘super fast’ weight loss work but only short term, and please be careful and take some random peoples recommendations about diet X with grain of salt there are countless companies which sell opinions/comments on online stores, review sites, forums etc. If you know someone who always complain that he/she can’t loose weight, I’ll bet you they still eat more then they should, and probably avoid sport. If you change your diet and go to gym or run, ride bicycle etc. you are bound to loose weight, genetics will affect how fast and how much you will loose. Then you have to keep it up even if you are fit, because yo-yo effect is real:)

  • I don’t believe there are diminishing returns. People are just more likely to become more lazy the longer an exercise session. The BMR activity multipliers are just estimates, not gospel.

  • When considering eating healthy, you must never fall victim to modern day fad diets. Extreme diets are a danger for your health, especially ones that seriously limit your everyday nutritionary intake. While they might induce fast weight loss, these diet plans are never a long-term answer for your weight problem. It is best to look up Custokebon Secrets on google search engine as it is not just another fad diet where you starve yourself.

  • 4:18 5:05 This is my EXACT problem with work projects and setting goals for myself. Holy shit!!! I came here for a weight loss how-to and walked away with a significant mindset set for my life. THANK YOU!!!

  • I need help! I have a bad muffin top and can’t seem to loose it. My weight changes a lot and I can’t seem to get the body that I would like to have. No matter how manny videos I watch about loosing body fat I can’t seem to find one that works. Got any tips?

  • Awe Kian ❤️ Jesus loves you so so much! He knows every hair on your head! You’re so beautiful! In my morning prayer I usually ask him for determination and discipline when it comes to my health. I ask him to take away my cravings for sugar and processed foods and I ask him to give me stronger cravings for whole and healthy foods. And he does! He wants what’s best for you! Most people don’t receive because they simply just don’t ask. Anytime I feel a craving coming on I rebuke it and ask him to replace that craving with something that my body actually needs. Treats are okay though! But personally I used to be addicted to sugar. And I have a joint problem in my knee that swells when I eat too much sugar. Anyways, I pray that you’ll be blessed in this journey! ❤️

  • Girly you are beautiful, it doesn’t matter what you look like on the outside it’s about your heart, and the Lord looks at the heart:) “7 But the Lord said to Samuel, “Do not look on his appearance or on the height of his stature, because I have rejected him. For the Lord sees not as man sees: man looks on the outward appearance, but the Lord looks on the heart.” 1 Samuel 16:7

  • Hey Jeff thanks for the info that allows hope. Any tips on how a person with Degenerative Disc Disease arthritic hips, wrist shoulders can’t get results with these limitation. As condition worsens I need to keep moving but so much con advise I trust you to be honest. I can’t be the only person with this issues that can suck the life out of you. Watch lots of your videos that have opened my eyes. I know your a busy guy but any help I would appreciate so much

  • I was a 220 pounds man, 5’9 inch and for the first 2 months I lost 20 pounds by cutting sugar and eating around 1500-1800 calories of protien carbs and fat. I’m now 201 ish and kinda have hit a plateau, what should I do???

  • Hey!!! Oksana Vine (she commented too) but she has good advice. I used to be a weight trainer so if you have questions feel free to ask. I would also recommend a vitamin D3 (2000 iu) and a Super B-Complex vitamin in the mornings. This can help give you a little lift in the mornings. Of course, make sure you have some God time first thing in the mornings. It’s okay to be in a funk, we all get there from time to time!:-) now go get em girl!!!

  • I know this video was filmed months ago but I’m only watching it now because I recently found your channel. Have you ever looked into intuitive eating and gentle nutrition? There’s a book called Intuitive Eating, written by two dietitians who are anti dieting. They basically explain that all diets fail and that about 95% of people end up gaining the weight back, and more. How about focusing on listening to your body and getting rid of all the food rules? I highly recommend looking into it!

  • I like that all the advice you give is realistic and based on how well people can make and stick to lifestyle changes. Thank you for these videos

  • everybody on keto diet fot 90 days lose every single time, only a very few people have the courage to stay on keto for 90 days thats why they dont reach their goals

  • Just a reminder that you are so beautiful exactly as you are (inside and out)!! You don’t need to do anything to “prove” or change yourself. I know it’s so much easier said than done, but once you can accept that, you’ll intuitively make balanced, healthy choices because they make you feel good (and yes, that includes late night treats). I feel like diet culture has made us overthink so many things, but truly being healthy is as much about being kind to ourselves as anything else! sending good thoughts your way:)

  • i feels like this video is only getting attention because it is trying to piggyback the Tedx talk by Ruben.
it would benefit from heavy editing to make a clearer point.

  • In 27. 130lbs and my metabolism speeds up the more i put in still. I struggle to gain weight even at 5000 calories a day. Where can i find studies to be apart of to help?

  • The only way I lose “body fat” not just weight is either by cutting carbs extremely low or almost starving myself. It’s so debilitating, and sad. After months of sticking to that unhealthy lifestyle, i do keep the weight off but im miserable, I eat a little more and I gain back weight, I know it’s genetics because everyone in my family is overweight except for myself but it’s a constant fight, sometimes i feel that it takes over my life! I will find a cure, so can you!

  • If cals in cals out doesn’t work, and your body compensates a 1:1 reduction in energy expenditure when you reduce calorie intake, you wouldn’t lose weight by eating nothing. But we know, eating nothing will lead to starvation and emaciation. You cannot tell me that that is entirely dependent on hormones balance. This is bunk.

  • Just a word of advice, stop tracking your calories, your macros etc. Basically stop attaching numbers to the food you’re eating. Try to make healthier choices and minimise dairy, bread, and oils (and nuts as well). What helped me is doing slimming world. Similar program is weight watchers. Set yourself 3/4 days a week to go to the gym and make it a routine.
Make weight loss about your health and not appearance. When you’re making a healthy meal, you’re LOVING your body and not punishing yourself for not eating treats.
What I used to do is eat healthy for 6 days and have a cheat day on the 7th. It takes off the temptations during the week because you know you can eat whatever you’re craving during your cheat day.
You can do this! I know it because so many people have done it and you can too! It takes time, give yourself time!

  • As expert, I’m sure Custokebon Secrets can be great way to lost a lot of weight. Why don’t you give it a shot? perhaps it is going to work for you too.

  • Does anyone else binge watch these types of videos to get motivation and stave off boredom-eating? Hahaha it’s been pretty effective for me so far

  • my fave breakfast ideas:
    •smoothie bowl
-2 cup strawberries, half frozen banana, vanilla protein powder, 1 cup almond milk blend that and then I add chia seeds as a topping
•avocado toast w two eggs scrambled

  • Girl yes, I relate to you so much. I used to think I couldn’t date anyone until I got a flat stomach and toned body, like what the heck is that. What a horrible way to think. I kind of just gave up on going to the gym all together, which really doesn’t help much, but I’ve been comparing myself to these girls on social media so much, especially when they’re in these beautiful looking relationships. It’s gotta stop. So thank you for being vulnerable because it really helps me realize that I’m not alone in this. Praying for you <3

  • There you have it, so the mans point is that you have to give your mind a chance to “see” some positive results happen, so you get drawn in the right way by your desire <3 We want everything in our life imediatly and thats why we try once or twice and getting back to hell:D

  • Loved that moment in your car. I’ve definitely had conversations like that with myself in my car but in that note… I truly think you are SO gorgeous!! & you look so cute in your workout outfits. So inspired by how you push yourself to go to the gym even when you don’t feel like it. Thanks for going through this and sharing your journey!

  • Lol.. you have awesome spirit.. and your pretty darn goofy.. thanks for sharing. Your page is awesome. God bless you and your bowl of cereal

  • I lost 60 lbs when I was 16-17. Over the span of about a year. I pretty much never thought about food which is weird. I think that’s why I was successful because I wasn’t obsessed with losing the weight. I just exercised and didn’t eat much.

  • Dear Simon, I am surprised by your reaction to my TEDx Talk. Could you please elaborate on which parts of my presentation which, in your reply to M Skeetskee, you implied to be 1) not true 2) not worth sharing 3) ridiculous, and 4) shrouded in colourful demonstration? I did accidentally call low-carbohydrate diets “low-protein” diets, but you seem to have other issues with my presentation. Looking forward to your response. Kind regards, Ruben

  • Watch dietsarefattening you tube channel it will help your mindset so much. Your so young to be going through this and so adorned by Jesus! Just find some healthy versions of the foods you crave and enjoy. Keep it simple. Exercise if you enjoy it and listen to your body.

  • Kian, it a journey. Ups and downs happen! Don’t count calories. It is probably one thing that overwhelmed me when I was trying to gain weight. It might be more helpful for you to focus on making healthier choices with food, substitutes certains aliments. Maybe no more juices, just water and coffee (if u like it). Meal prep is a great way to stay on track and keep up with the gym!! Continue to pray about it. You’ll achieve your goals! I believe in you haha! I’m planning to gain about 10-20 pounds. It is my 2020 goal.

  • Girl I love your reflections!!! I literally went on the treadmill when I saw u posted a workout video. The making promises to myself and keeping them is something I’m also working on! Thank you for being so real with everything whether it’s your emotional state or the change in your body. It makes me feel like nothings wrong with me when I don’t immediately get the results that I want. Also I try to remember that exercising isn’t all about weight loss, it has “antidepressant” effects on the brain! Also I love listening to worship music when I’m working out too haha. It’s like healing for the mind and body all at the same time:)

  • If you wish to lose fat, you need to check out Custokebon Secrets on the google search engine. They will make it easier to get the shape you should have.

  • This actually helped me a little. I’m in recovery from an eating disorder that I’ve had most of my life, so until a couple years ago I’d always been super underweight. But now that I’m eating enough I can’t stop gaining weight, and it’s been really annoying having to buy new clothes every year. But at least now I understand why my body’s doing it it still thinks it’s in starvation mode, and won’t get OUT of starvation mode unless I keep eating the way I’m supposed to, even if that makes me keep gaining weight sigh

  • I’ve checked it out the paper that the doctor mentioned in the video, and even in this study, that wasn’t a single mention of decrease in BMR due to decrease in calorie intake. In fact, the paper is about trying to establish correlations between BMR and certain human characteristics, such as body weight and height.
This is the paper, for anyone that is interested in:

  • I thought I could hold everything tight in my hands. but my plans didn’t go out and I was confused. I began to call for God because I found that they were not going in my direction. This world is telling us to have a plan for everything…

Give it (what you need to give) to God. God´s plan is much bigger picture and many times different as our plans. This is what I´m learning to accept through faith. His plan is much better than mine, our. My experience life with God. God is good and faithful. I am grateful for your honesty sister.

  • My fitness journey wasn’t easy in the beginning either but don’t worry girl you got this! It also takes time you’ll get there. You’ll have those days where you’ll feel unmotivated and discouraged but it’ll get easier as you keep going and making it part of your lifestyle. I think you’re doing great:) God bless ♡

  • Girl you are so awesome for your transparency! This really helped so much! It’s so cool to see what God can do for us once we shift our focus! Keep on doing what you’re doing!

  • I don’t mean to be obtuse, however you seem to be contradicting the other gentleman in the TEDx Talk. What in specific do you not agree with? In his last 10 seconds he said, 1) eat less, 2) move more, 3) keep breathing. Do you disagree with this? He specifically said that “breathing more” isn’t feasible as that leads to hyperventilation. As smart as you both are, you both did not depict the absolute fastest way to lose weight. I would argue the fastest way to lose 15 pounds is to cut your arm off.

  • This is why I have people coming up to me everyday saying “the reason I can’t lose weight is I don’t eat enough “ NO!!! YOU NEED TO EAT LESS THAN LAST TIME!

  • Try these:
•Quinoa (After boil) with chopped onions, little bit soy sauce, red and orange bell peppers
    Roasted sweet potatoes
    Chicken
    Breakfast
•maple and brown sugar oatmeal half boiled
One table spoon of peanut butter on the side
    Mango
(Don’t feel pressured to try these)

  • What if you keep your caloric intake roughly the same (but like, slowly reduce the amount of carbohydrates and sugars you eat) while increasing your energy consumption? Then again, that, too, would need to be a permanent thing.

  • What a stupid doctor. Do not trust this guy. Counting calories is one of the most effective ways to lose weight. I lost 30 kg in a year and a half by counting calories.

  • Hey girl, i’ve definitely been there.. I think we put so much focus on our appearance because we feel like the smaller we are or the less we weigh, the more desirable we are to men. It’s a lie we keep telling ourselves! The one piece of advice I can give you is to just focus on how you want to feel instead of how you want to look! God loves us just how we are and he has someone for us regardless of that number on the scale! You’re beautiful <3

  • Stay strong! ❤️
“I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.”

  • It still surprises me, just how a lot of people do not know about Custokebon Secrets, despite the fact that lots of people get great results because of it. Thanks to my cousin who told me about Custokebon Secrets, I have lost a ton of weight with it without starving myself.

  • Does the protein source impact the how hard it is for the body to burn the food? Ex: 27% of the calories use for a steak but fewer % for a pea protein powder?

  • So many incorrect and/or misconstrued statements in this video. I really like Sci Show but this video should really not have been done without better research. A better explanation about how all this stuff works can be found by watching some of Jason Fung’s videos/interviews or by checking out the channel “What I’ve Learned”. He has a great video on how fat loss really works(I forget what it’s called). I’m not saying they’re the best videos, just the ones I can think of off the top of my head, and they are miles ahead of sci show in terms of accuracy.

  • Really.. You’re citing a source from 103 years ago? ONE HUNDRED AND THREE YEARS AGO?!?! Are you kidding me? That in and of itself should be a hint that you’re wrong, if you can’t even find any recent studies to back your position.

  • So let’s say I’m on a diet, 2500 calories is normal intake, so u decide to cut to 2300 calories, and I burn 800 calories working out everyday, my net calories is now 1500, is that an over restriction? Or should my net calorie be 2300

  • You’re so beautiful Kian! <3 You're so confident and your vulnerability is beautiful. I have been and still am in the same exact situation as you for so long! That's the mindset change I need, that working out makes me feel so good and I shouldn't be doing it to change myself, but because I love myself! It's been SO hard for me to make time to work out. I have recently been saved as well and have many commitments with the church and my job. And I have this internal conflict of I should be reading the Bible, rather than working out etc. But audio bible and podcasts save the day! But yeah you're not alone sister <3 This self-confidence -loving-self journey is hard. I think Jesus is wanting us to focus on Him though because if we set our minds on Him, He will provide all the glories for us. So I think Jesus first, Us second. And Jesus will help us in finding time and motivation in working out and living healthy. We have to keep relying on Him. <3 God Bless.

  • God bless you sister ✨thank you for sharing your struggles. You are loved by the most High and made perfectly in His image. You can do this! All things through Christ

  • Great video Dr.Frelich! I figured out a long time ago working as a logger (lumber jack) in the cold that most of what I ate was going to maintain the body’s temperature. In the summer, despite doing very hard work for 8 hours, we could get by on a fairly light lunch. In the winter, an hour or so before lunch we would start to get cold even working hard. (we would work in exposed areas where even the dumbest of beasts would not place themselves). A hour or so after lunch, a big one with lots of calories, it was like someone had turned on the hot water. Hands and feet would warm up and one could feel new energy surging thru the body.

  • I was a fool for thinking that I could eat junk food as long as I ate a maximum of 2000 kcal a day. Obviously I lost very little fat! But when I started eating healthy, without saturated fats and no added sugar, I managed to lose 40 pounds! I went from 30% body fat to 18% in a year. Now I’m counting the calories to lose even more fat and get to 14% to see very defined abs (I already see them a little!!).
So, in my experience, counting calories AND EATING HEALTHY is the solution

  • Ok first of all that study from way back makes no sense at all if we go by that logic then we would theoretically be able to live on little to no food and not die!!! Sesondly yes a vegetable and a candy bar does not have the same type of calorie in the sense that they have different nutrient (fats, protein, carbs, vitamins etc) but that the end all that really matters for weight loss it the amount of overall calories. Lastly fasting is not the magic answer to all your weight problems. Anyone ever seen the rat experiment(they fasted and then ate within a certain time frame and actually lost more weight rather than eating like 3 to 4 times throughout the day but this does not apply to us humans) all fasting does is deprive you of calories for a set period of time and when it is time to eat u have a large meal that fills u up for the rest of the day (mind you it would be the same amount of calories u would have throughout the normal day) He is contradicting himself.

  • I’ve been counting caloroes for 6 months and have last 52lbs. I don’t believe its always exact. But it works for me and it gives me a sense of doing right.

  • If you’re trying to be consistent as Jeff says. You can use the free app I’ve created at: https://streakoid.com. Create a streak for no more French fries.

  • Hey guys, if you’re struggling with a strong desire to lose weight or be beautiful, please watch my video on how being beautiful is not everything in life or ”i ate vegetables for dinner” I pray it blesses you. I’ve come a long way. I used to model and Jesus is in the process of teaching me that I DON’T need to lose weight or be the most beautiful. Much love! Thanks for this video girl, the truth is many women struggle but Jesus can help us all!

  • You are amazing and beautiful. I think that your openess is attractive. Though it would be wise to quit trying to live alone and get some good Christian female friends that will encourage you. I think you are sexy. Why focus on weight? Your shape is not dependent on a number. Your beautiful smile and personality is not defined by this temporal body.

  • Losing weight is a function of time, excercise and diet, no more, no less. You did not gain the weight overnight so you won’t lose it evernight. This is how you do it. Step 1 establish your weight. Step 2 write down everything you eat and drink in a day. Step 3 try and walk every day and try to get up to between 30 to 60 minutes at a brisk pace. Step 4 start a weight traning program not a crazy bodybuilder one because you will never do it. Buy some home weights. Do 1 day upper body 2 or 3 exercises Day 2 legs 2 exercises. Alternate, Try to do an ab exercise every day. Do 3 sets. increase the reps slowly up to 20 then add 5 pounds. Step 5 slowly decrease what you eat every day and stop eating and drinking the stuff you know is bad for you. Eventually your body will be repulsed by chips, ice cream, cake etc. I have done this for 6 weeks. I have lost 11 pounds from 225 to 214 and my goal is 205. My abs are starting to peek out. My strength has increased 15%. The best motivation is to see the improvement, then you will lose more, feel better, life will be good!

  • Thank you for this video! I keep forgetting that I already have been doing a lot, just need to keep doing it so easy to fall for some crap idea

  • I had to comment this..coz I feel you.
I had started working out then I stopped..I have an issue with not having a flat tummy and I have been focusing on that a lot and sometimes it’s hard. Really hard.
And Kian it’s okey to cry. I cried too lol when you were crying

  • Chef am could u pls tell does European chestnuts(they nuts but low in fat and high in carb )can be consumed unlimited like foods from left to to the right?

  • Kian, have you been in the Word lately, every day? Fill yourself with God’s truth, sisterand go out and serve and love others. When focus is off of you, is when you can find true joy. That’s how God designed it for us. Keep Him center and seek how He can use you. And be fit to be strong to do His work, first of all ❤be healthy and pursue Gods best, but don’t seek fulfillment in that. Seek in Jesus!

  • One main thing that stood out to me in this video (and gosh there were a lot of things lol!) was when you said that you were “delaying your happiness until you saw the results” and then you concluded that “all you have is now.” I just love how you put that and I agree. The joy really should be in the process of the thing (anything, not just working out) as much as it will be in the result. And we should treat today with all the joy that you will want to treat the last day. Yeah there are certain battles that we need to fight now at present but that’s all we need to fight. That’s all we need to ‘struggle’ for. Matthew 6:34 (NIV) Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own. Now one can read that and say “oh so I will have trouble today then?” and then get discouraged. But no… there’s that scripture you put in your description. All that being said: Please God NOW; Have joy NOW; Prepare for the future but don’t worry about it.

  • I have something that may help a lot of people. I noticed that I would pee small amounts often instead of large amounts when my bladder filled. I am young so it isn’t a prostate issue. Long story short I was taking a zinc supplement, over dosing. The kidneys were flushing as fast as possible, which made me thirsty and pee often. The rest of the zinc was getting stored in fat, which is the body’s back up plan to prevent overdose in the blood stream. This can happen with any mineral or fat soluble vitamin. Anyway, I cut zinc and started loosing 2 days later. Pee went to normal, emotionally better too. The only reason I caught this was because my diet is perfectly consistent to the gram and the only thing I had changed for weeks was the zinc supplement. It is a good habit to only change one supplement every few weeks and log changes. I know not everyone can or would do this. The short cut is to look out for overdose if you pee small amounts often and feel a bit off.

  • I watch a lot of your videos. So this poss take comment is just in good humour.

But you are wrong about why im not losing fat. For me i just dont have enough to lose easily. Never had have, so poor assumption Jeff. Lol

  • You should really try keto! My cravings for crabs have went away and I finally feel like I have self control! And I don’t feel like I’m stressing out all the time over food It’s great! Please check out A channel called Kims commitment, she lost over 90+ pounds on keto and she records it all and gives you meal prep ideas! Check it out https://youtu.be/Du7FZV1UhBw it really helped me. Keep fighting the good fight of faith sister!

  • For breakfast, I love to eat one slice of bread with avocado, two pieces of bacon and an egg on top! & a wheat based cereal with strawberries!!

  • For me taking adderol helped me lose weight. It makes you stop going to the refrigerator. Not the healthiest solution, but it is all that worked for me.

  • i did something like this January i start to workout with only one rule “max 3 days rest”, then after 1 month new rule “3 days workout then rest 1 day, again workout ” my exercises was a mess, but for me, the most important was to train my brain to accept workout (if that make sense) so at the end of April i started to look in youtube for workout exercises and found this channel (for me its perfect) till today i lose 10 kg i feel very motivated and i enjoy the workout and the heavy metal that blowing my room:D

  • My GO-TO breakfast: it’s a mix between oatmeal and cream of wheat in consistency and taste, but it’s extremely low carb! Mix 3 tablespoons chia seeds, 3 tablespoons ground flax seed, and 1 tablespoon coconut flour with 1-1 1/2 cups almond milk. Microwave for 2.53 minutes or cook on stove. After I add cinnamon, sea salt, almond extract, chopped walnuts, pour a whole lotta peanut butter on top (just the peanuts, peanut butter), sometimes raisins. But you could add any other extract to flavor, add fruit, ghee, other nuts. Lots of healthy fats and omegas in this breakfast! I genuinely love this breakfastSO filling and tasty!

On top of rice cakes: mashed avocado drizzled with honey and salt and pepper (my fav!), peanut butter and chocolate chips, hummus and veggies.

Also, my fitness pal was SUPER unhealthy for me mentally as well. My sister used it and loved it, I tried it and went insane. So happy for you for your breakthrough! The Holy Spirit will bring LIFE to anythingespecially your health journey! Much love!!

  • they struggle with it because they try crash diets. If you diet and start eating the way you did before you tried to lose weight you’re going to put that weight back on. If you want to lose fat and keep it off your nutrition has to be part of a lifestyle.

  • The way he titles these videos are like he’s trying to appeal to 16 year old GymBros and 45 year old mid life crisis having boomers.

  • Love this Kian! I am struggling with my weight too!
Thanks for sharing your journey. I’ve been considering vlogging my journey on my channel too…

  • amazing video simply amazing…so uplifting….whenever im down i watch his videos to motivate me again…he keeps me going…thanks jeff…God bless you

  • An idea for breakfast is oatmeal with fruit and honey (you could also put in chia seeds or anything like that):) love your vids girl ❤

  • I do everything you say for months but have no progress I go to gym daily don’t eat more than a normal person and am really active I can’t seem to lose weight with my slow metabolism

  • Losing weight is really hard! For months and months.. for some years.. it’s not fun.

But few things feel as empowering as seeing the pounds coming off and reaching your goal.

  • The honor and integrity you have to tell someone not to buy your stuff if they aren’t ready says a bunch about you. You are a good man

  • Nope. You don’t need exercise. Your body will consume 1500 calories just not dying. Sorry, you’ve missed the point of the physicist.

It’s still only a simple math problem. Eat less than you use and you will lose.

    I should trademark that.

  • He gave up the solution in the beginning when he said to eat less, then go back to a regular diet. You can’t go back to a “regular” diet. Eating fewer calories has to be your new normal. If you “go back” you will gain all the weight right back again. Find out how many calories it takes to weigh xxx, then eat those calories.

  • This is amazing…just what I need after Christmas . I consumed gazillion calories past few days. I have the fitbit watch and app. I am going to use them properly. Thank you again Dr.

  • Are you aware that in case you completely refrain from your favorite carbohydrates all the time since you assume they’re damaging or that you believe that they’re the factor for all of your extra belly fat, it may possibly be detrimental for your hormone amounts not to mention wreak havoc on ones own metabolic process? Find out more helpful pointers in this article https://tinyurl.com/y92nuszy

  • I was at 34.9% body fat and 110kg. I simply ate less, I looked at what I was eating. I didn’t eat ridiculously less, I just cut out soda, and had smaller portions. now at 22.8% body fat, and 77kg (still overweigh) I’ve started exercising, I know I should’ve started earlier, but at 110kg it feels impossible especially in the australian heat

  • I have been feeling this exact same way. I just look at myself and not how like what i see and thing it becomes so emotionally draining. I’ve been working out this whole week and i’m trying to make myself not think about changing myself but instead become healthier. Thank you for showing me that i wasn’t the only one who felt like this.

  • You should putting back God in the center of your life find a purpose keep going you’re a beautiful child of God anything is possible through him you’re doing great sweetie

  • Yes, I too am guilty of jumping from diet plan to others as well, I do believe that I must have tested every fat loss program that was available, however eventually not one of them made it easier for me to lose and maintain the weight off. I ended up trying for the very last time using the Custokebon Secrets mainly because my friend who told me great things about it and so far to date I have successfully dropped 18 lbs in 4 weeks!

  • Slow instead guys, fast will just make it harder to lose weight. It’s not depressing call reality, accept it and grind with it xoxo.

  • I get what he is saying, counting calories works only for a short while as the body adapts to the changes and ultimately progress slows and we fail. What we should be doing is eating healthy foods to meet our requirements, and exercise if we want to lose fat.

  • If NBC had a shred of respect or integrity they would take down this video. This is nothing but misinformation. Counting calories works, yes there is metabolic adaptation but it doesn’t happen overnight. I would challenge the doctor to stop eating since he believes the body will just adapt. Let’s see how long he survives.

  • im zig zagging between 500 and 700 calories and i walk 30 mins a day do some abs workout for 20 mins and cycle for 1-2 hrs a day and i think i hit a plateau the 1st week i lost around 2 kgs

  • I have lost 5 kilos since last month and thought this video could help me. But it just demotivated me:(. I don’t want to give up on my weight lose journey this time sigh

  • He mentions glucose but doesn’t elaborate on such an important part of weight loss. Go lo and keto/I.F. are diets that keep carbs low. My experience on keto diet has been great. Plenty of great youtube videos about keto/fasting diet.

  • Instead of buying this bum’s book buy coach Greg doucette’s cookbook, you’ll never feel that a diet sucks or is restrictive, you just need the right formula and Greg has one that works

  • I’m sure he is a smart guy however he is plain wrong in this video. It’s sad to see so many people in the comments confused and not know who to believe. Watch coach Greg’s newest video about this topic and he explains why this video is wrong. Calories in and calories out is the way to go and if you read the comments in this video many people have lost a lot of weight by following the calories in and calories out method. You can’t break the laws of thermodynamics. The information presented by the nephrologist is doing more harm than good and it’s just over complicating everything which is the reason why so many people are left confused. It’s simple, calories in and calories out.

  • Jason Fung is right but you have to adjust your diet and exercise to adjust for your body’s adaptation. Increasing cardio while maintaining caloric intake or decreasing the caloric deficit.

  • I get overwhelmed, anxiety when I count calories & just hyper focus on losing weight. I find it works better for me when I just practice being mindful of my food choices. No fast food, cutting back on sweets & etc. I feel less forced if that makes sense. I’m currently at my heaviest & trying to shed some pounds but in a way that I won’t overwhelm myself. Give yourself grace you are doing a great job and are beautiful regardless of weight.

  • I lost 20 pounds counting calories from 140 to 120 and I’m 5’5″. I am not restricting carbs and am just making sure I get enough protein. His argument is ridiculous. This was also in less than 4 months at a rate of around 1.25lb per week.

  • I’m a fitness coach, I have a B.S. in Exercise Science, I have been bodybuilding for 9 years, I’m telling you right now, the amount of calories absolutely matters. If you eat 7,000 calories a day, the food is a all of high quality and you exercise, you are extremely likely to be continuously putting on body fat. They may be healthy, especially in certain ways, but they will be putting on a lot of body fat which can very well lead to a lot of other issues throughout your life if that excess is not reduced. If you don’t exercise, you eat unhealthy foods, but you only consume 500 calories a day (the opposite but still extreme), you will be unhealthy, but you will lose and keep weight off. So obviously, count your calories, weigh your food, measure your waist (weighing yourself can be misleading), train your whole body with resistance training at the bear minimum once a week, do cardio at the bear minimum once a week (better than nothing, obviously twice or even thrice is preferred, same with resistance training: twice per week is optimal), have a nutrition program of healthy foods and I actually recommend that people consider include a once a week cheat day. Eat whatever and however much you want once a week. This day won’t actually result in fat increase since it is just one day. I will be “inflated”, but then come down to normal throughout the next couple of days. If that was an actual permanent fat increase, it would not come down. I would need to enter a calorie deficit to do so. It’s an easier life than what people are told.

  • Hi kian, I love your channel I’m a similar Christian to you saved at a later time in life. I don’t know if you watch other YouTube but one of the most motivating and informative girls I have found on YouTube is @sarahsday.
She really explains how sometimes counting calories macros ect it doesn’t work for everyone and it can sometimes create a stressful unhealthy relationship with food. Foods meant to be enjoyed.
She has a workout book too and a lot of work out videos on her channel. Keep up the hard work and videos love your work god bless you ❤️

  • The information presented here is doing more bad than good. Eat less and move more, that’s the only rule there is for losing weight.

  • First, you are gorgeous JUST the way you are. Second, I think others on here who have said to stop tracking calories are right. If you’re eating healthfully and keeping your body moving, that’s what counts. You’re right when you say that delaying happiness for when you’re ‘the next size down’ isn’t helpful to your mindset and your progress. You should be doing what you’re doing like you said to make you happy and feel like your best self, regardless of what the scale or dress size shows. It’s all a journey and just remember what you’re doing it all for to be your best self, long term, not a quick fix super thin look that fades and isn’t sustainable. You got this, try not to stress! p.s. I know whaty ou mean about weight loss coming easily it did for me in the past as well and as I age, I see the uphill climb on losing weight loss differently than it was.

  • No one noticed the math?
If body fat = calories in calories out, then 0.7(calories in) 0.7(calories out) = 0.7(body fat), which is actually LESS body fat.
So… Thanks for making a video telling us that calories in calories out actually work?

Yes, calories in calories out isn’t just simply take the difference and then convert it into fat mass difference, but the body is so complicated that we will never have an exact description on what’s happening for weight loss/gain, and calories in calories out is a good enough model for estimation and execution.
It is easy to measure the calories in the food, and calories burnt from exercise. On the other hand, it is very hard to measure and control insulin and hormone level. So how come the latter one could be easier and more effective than the former one for weight loss?

  • Jeff, another perfect video! Thank you!

What are you doing with clients, who are thinking…
“How long am i going to be on a diet?”
“How long am i going to train 2-3 times per week?”
“I was always faty, my grandma is fat, my mother, father, sister are fat.”
“I have frends, who don’t do sports, eat what they want, do what they want and they are looking greath…. “

And when I ask, tell me what you are eating and i am about to kill myself and i am constantly searching for a way to explane, that their lifestyle sucks…. Seriously those are the questions of my clients and i am always telling them, what you are going to tell… “You are not on a diet, your nutrition is going to be healty for life” “In order to stay in shape, you need to put some work in the gym” and so on.

  • Yes girl!! Health over looks. Jesus is not calling us to compare or to promote our looks, He IS calling us to take care of and treasure our bodies that He gave us

  • Ok it’s great that you are making healthy changes and all, but can I just say.. right NOW (not past or future versions of yourself) you are goals! Your hair is so pretty, your face is so pretty, you’ve got a great glowy tan, you have curves and a healthy looking figure, you are literally gorgeous! All of us can strive to make healthier choices, but don’t stress about the looks, because right now you are already beautiful both inside and out.

  • So, basically you are saying that if you cut 30% of calories your body will make up for that by expending 30% less than usual. Ok, sure I’ll give you that. What about 40% would your metabolism adjust for that as well. Ok, I’ll give you that as well. But where does it stop? This man is saying if you cut off 100% of your calories then your body will literally make up for and spend 100% less, which makes sense because you will be dead lmao. Are you kidding me he is literally saying that you can live without eating food?
People who are dying of starvation are just faking it then?

  • I was crying right with u. I hear you. I’ve battled with this my whole life. I’m 28 now and I’m still struggling. U are beautiful. I love how transparent you are. JESUS LOVES YOU ‍♀️

  • 2:05: He’s saying that reducing calories with 30%, my body will burn less calories with 30%. So if I stop eating my body will stop burning calories so I can live forever

  • I’m so sorry you’re struggling with this but no worries it happens to us all, especially me too when I first started. Here’s what helped me, 1 to not consider it a diet but a start to connecting more with your body and God through high vibrational foods, don’t deprive your body to 3 meals a day, whenever you’re hungry go and eat something but add foods that will stick to your body by making you feel fuller (rice, black beans, quinoa to your salads). 2 don’t track your calories because it will drive you crazy, that’s what it did to me & find healthy snacks for those in between times, I saw you loved the cashew yogurt I recommended to you a while back but try to also add more things in your bag that are quicker to pick up when on the go, I love the soley fruit jerky strips from Whole Foods made with bananas and almonds which are so good as well as purely Elizabeth banana nut butter bars. Last if your body is telling you to skip a gym day then skip it fully. Listening to your body is the key because you don’t want it to shut down on you at the most unexpected times. Take one night out of the week to treat your body for all the work it has done, take a hot bath with pink salt and a face mask to reenergize yourself. Your so beautiful inside and out and I know it’s difficult but please don’t give up, you’re so committed and that’s amazing. Eating healthy is super fun but it took me a while to get here trust me! Now I literally eat like five times a day in order to fuel my body for the high intensity workouts I do.

  • “In medical school doctors learn what they will get reimbursed for later on”. So true. And it all came from when, years ago, the pharmaceutical industry made big donations to the medical colleges and basically ‘bought’ their education. And tainted it.

  • Does 207 at 6’1 sound fat? I started eating better and working out and feel like I’m not getting anywhere. Work 3 12 and an 8 every other week and gained 25ish pounds in 7 months. Was eating a ton and anything I can assemble for lunches and breaks because I was starving on this work schedule. Cut out pop mostly eat a fat salad on first break and switched to an apple and banana on each of the two following breaks. Try to hit the gym 2-3 times on my non work stretch. 1 hour weights and 1 hour power walk targeting 122 heart rate followed by maybe ten minutes of laps in pool and 20 or so minutes of hot tub and still gaining weight and don’t feel like I’ve lost fat

  • I just wanna say to you that you are beautifully and wonderfully made in Christ. God loves you the way you are.You are beautiful because the Holy Spirit lives in you.You are the Child of God dont let the world define you

  • Great another useless video on how someone says that this is wrong and that you won’t lose weight and just never give a solution to what I should do then…

  • Hey freinds i found this artical i think it’s important check it:
    https://womanuniverse.net/5-psychological-reasons-explaining-why-people-dont-lose-weight-even-with-exercises-and-diets/

  • It is funny how he says that simply lowering your calories is not important but the hormonal responses and other important stuff are, but somehow forgets to mention what hormones and how and what is that other important stuff… not only that he doesn’t provide any alternative solution, he also tries to strenghten his view with ONE study from 1918..BRAVO!

  • The keto connect make a video proving eating a keto diet at 4000 calories would cause weight gain. You cant eat 5kg of meat and lose weight. So calorie is still calories.

  • You will lose weight sitting on your behind all day if you lower your caloric intake and it doesnt matter what you are eating.
7 years ago I went through a period in my life with high anxiety which caused me to lose my appetite. I ate unhealthy things when I did eat and lost 10 pounds in 2 months

  • I’ve stalled out at 210lbs (6’2”, about 20% BF) for the past 3 weeks and I’ve been eating 1600-1700cal/day and doing 30min of cardio 6days/week. I find it hard to believe that I need to decrease my calories further and increase my cardio. Any suggestions? I’ve considered eating at maintenance (2700ish) for a week then getting back to a deficit to see if it’ll break it.

  • Now I answer unto you my friends, what is the life a of a great man? The life of a great man is the glorious sun shining in the sky.
The great man is one who receives natural respect, and if it is that he is disrespected, be sure to know that person will not go unpunished. The great man is one who works hard to obtain what he wants and needs, he is the man who settles for the best, the man who rises above others, who brings shame to others as they are blinded by his greatness.
My friends, let us become great men, may we run until our legs break! May the spirit of laziness be destroyed within us, may suffering be our greatest friend!
And to you women, are you aware of the power you possess over men? Your power is held not by your force, but by you being yourself. Men can triumph over men, but you women stomp over men! You women steal our hearts, you bring out the child spirit within us, for we men like danger and play. To all of you beautiful women, all of you women that are warm hearted and caring, may blessings be upon you all, you are the most beautiful flowers of the garden, may the gardener that picks you out be just as beautiful as you are!

  • I just lost 20 lbs in two months eating 1700 calories a day…5’10” 190 lbs down to 170 lbs, 58 years old. To make the counting easier I ate the same foods every day. There was an initial weight loss of a couple lbs due to adjustment of food intake with the new diet and after that the scale stayed steady for two weeks. Then it fell steadily. Very little exercise. Counting calories works.
