Recommendations for Well-Woman Care – A Well-Woman Chart was developed by the Women’s Preventive Services Initiative (WPSI). Preventive care visits provide an excellent opportunity for well-woman care including screening, evaluation of. At your well-woman visit, the doctor or nurse may recommend screening you for: Certain types of cancer; HPV (human papillomavirus, which can lead to cervical cancer) HIV and other sexually transmitted diseases (STDs) High blood pressure and cholesterol; Diabetes. A well-woman exam is one of the most important steps that women of all ages can take to protect their health. This is an annual preventive screening of breast and gynecological diseases.

During the visit, your doctor will discuss your health and lifestyle behaviors and will perform a physical exam of your breast and pelvis.

  • no birth control needed for women that are lesbians. Yet I see a LOT of stuff saying that lesbians are obese. I’d say MANY women (not only lesbians) are obese. I’m a lesbian and I’m overweight now. I used to be 207. Now I’m 150 pounds. I’m in the overweight category. I think it is sad how health care providers assume that all women are straight. I was just asked 6 months ago what my sexual orientation was. I thought that was great since it does not make me a cookie cutter patient. I’m not a cookie cutter patient.

    Is it because of fibroid and Endometriosis.
    Or is it because of hormonal imbalance.
    Cause my period are not normal from the second time i got my period it has been 4 years since i got my first period.
    I went to the doctor they done some tests and Altrasound.
    And i was only given contraceptive pills.
    It worked for me but when i stoped it happened.
