  • God my story is nearly the same but I didnt reach anorexia nor any ed, I was restricting a lot but still allowed myself to eat « fine ». Nevertheless, I really think my period disappearing was the best sign to stop all that shit, together with being fed up with so much restriction. Inside you, you know there is sth going wrong that doesnt let you be totally happy and live the present moment.

  • This is so inspiring.. I really need to gain weight since i’ve lost my period, but it’s difficult since i’m not exactly extremely underweight or “sick enough” since i really want to get better.. Treatment centers for eating disorders won’t help me either because of my insurance, and it really pained me at my eating disorder evaluation when the woman looked me in the eye and although it was indirect, she told me i wasn’t sick enough to be in their program which i find extremely hard to hear especially when we want to get better that you can’t have access to a therapist and dietician and people that can really boost your recovery. It almost makes me not want to recover and i’m so conflicted.. A sick part of me wants to stop eating altogether to ‘prove them wrong’.
