  • Well balanced advicethank you and two small questions:
what about using grassfed milk in your coffee?
What about organic whole food grains ( rye, oats, quinoa, millet, buckwheat )

  • There is No essential carbohydrate
High good fats low carbs moderate protein ( no more than 50 grams a day ) sorry plant protein is good for cattle then eat the cattle

  • I’ve been eating lots of leafy greens, EVOO, and been eating avocado and yams/sweet potatoes. But then I went crazy with two huge meals of meat and my right side hurts. I think I may have over done it with meat. Now taking a break from the meat until my bowels feel better. I really do think it was from too much meat. Does this sound like a possibility?

  • The easiest way to be healthy is to cook your own food and vary your diet (avoiding things you are allergic to). And I usually have to add salt and oil into my food because I’m not getting enough for a daily intake.

  • I’ve been taking vital Reds now for just over 7 weeks and i can see the changes starting to take hold. 1) my previously dried skin is starting to smooth out to silky smooth 2) my waist line is starting to reduce and my energy levels are consistently good during the whole day rather than the spikes i used to have every day. Time will tell how much of this is actual change or placebo but so far so
    good.

  • Dr. Gundry always speaks the truth. I have followed his advice and taken his products for 10 months and I now feel better (got rid of my Type 2 diabetes!) and have much more energy.:-)

  • Question: is it possible that foetus has a allergic reaction of what the mother eats?
    or
is this possible: mother is allergic to something but baby in Side of her Need that thing to grow normally?

  • The problem with you (just kidding) Dr. Gundry is that you are right and your ideas have sense. I am trying to apply them into my diet. Thanks for that.

  • Dr. Goundry, This is such wonderful education for the public, I have believed these things for many years although I am not formally educated on health, just a lot of personal study and education which I believe all people should do for themselves-and take good care for our health! I wish that schools would implement health education for all children… well, I home school my children to make sure they eat healthy among other things. I probably watched all you videos and I appreciate them. Thank you so much for sharing with us.:)

  • Your advices don’t take into account blood types requiring different diets. O’s have different ancestors then A and B types. Carnivorous vs vegetarians, sedantar vs nomads…

  • My perseverance is unreal and afterwards I have so much more energy. I give some thought to my sister Kaitlin and she’s a genuine success story also; she stays in just as very good shape and she also still uses yoga burn. There’s just so much value here, I felt I simply had to provide my story and hopefully you will have as much if not greater success, all the best on your own journey! Look at the link http://yogaburnhome.com/yoga-burn-review-home-yoga-beginners/

  • And what about that subclass of people who struggle to put on weight? I lost so much weight doing IF and high fat that I had to stop. Would love a video on this quandary.

  • and again, since you are not trained in science, you also dont know what you need to do to conduct an actual scientific research study. if its so easy to do one, we will have a LOT more research studies to use right now.

  • Thank you for responding. My buddy takes Reds. Now I am taking EVO with many things as well as walnut butter with high cocoa dark chocolate. Thank you for teaching stacking!! I will research herbs that heal. Appreciate your good work

  • I love you! Thanks for allowing all of us to get our health back! Plus you are getting funnier, great! I had a good laught too!

  • i mostly agree with most posts u have, but i don’t agree with this one, such as no need for as much protein. im a big believer that we are highly carnivorous.

  • Also when you compare modern humans to our ancestors, haven’t our genes have adapted over time or evolved to take on the changes in diet in humans?

  • My heart doc denied me having a rotator cuff surgery and recommended Celebrex rather than naproxen. Is there a cold turkey approach to pain relief of a torn rotator? Thanks

  • Is millet really healthy? Here is what Prof. Loren Cordain thinks about it:
    https://thepaleodiet.com/millet-gluten-free-grain-avoid/

  • Thank you for these…Legend!

Anyone recommend a good breakfast recipe? I usually just make a smoothy with Kale/berrys/banana/turmeric/black pepper.
But the machine is too loud for some mornings.

Im really just scratching my head trying to figure something out

  • Could you put here some suggestions about what can cause back pain if it isnt weak core? Of course excluding disbalances causing hyperlordosis. And I dont mean spine pain, but tissue pain.
After one year of lifting i started caring more about my core and I loosened up my quads and it was enough to keep pain away for 1.5 year. Im still living without any pain.

  • Mid-Sept ‘19, while powerlifting, I started to feel my back hurt more and more after my Intensity days. My coach has a Starting Strength Cert. I record and she analyzes every rep, from every set of the 4 major lifts. 5 years ago my form was crap but since then, I improved tremendously. The latest thing we were working on was hip drive with squats. I squat low bar, and I have a long torso. I was having a hard time keeping my hips in sync with my upper body coming up out of the hole. My hips lagged. So I decided the only way I can fix this was to mentally over exaggerate the hips. By doing this, my chest started to lag, and boom, low back started to hurt. I pushed through for a few more weeks and it got worse and worse(the pain.) During those few weeks that I “pushed through” the workouts, the right side of my quad was getting numb, then tingly, then absolutely on fire at night. I had to stop all together. It was affecting all 4 lifts. I went to a chiro and that was a waste of time. I did PT for 5 weeks which helped recede the numbness to mid thigh. It had been hip to knee and the beginnings of big toe tingles. PT referred me to a Spine doc. He thought it was time for steroid shots. At that point I was only taking Ibuprofen mid afternoon through the evening. Met with Spine doc. Says I need an MRI. Got that done and waiting to see ortho to review on Monday 1/13. I haven’t worked out since 10/25. I even stopped the PT home exercises in December because I felt like they were making things worse. The last five weeks since I stopped PT, the numbness has been ever so slowly going away on its own but not totally gone yet. In the mornings, I am good and can clean house, walk dogs, do errands. By 3pm my back hurts. I bought the book by Stuart McGill and read it cover to cover. Unfortunately his Big 3 exercises are similar to PT. I am at a loss as to what to do next. I want to be prepared going into this appt on Monday. Thoughts? I also want to prevent this from happening again. Thanks!

  • I injured my back 10+ years ago working as a firefighter. I fought it for years but developed cauda equina syndrome and had no choice but emergency surgery. I feel stuck in a cycle of stress. Pain>can’t work>stress>pain….
Trying to break the cycle now
Btw. I’ve followed the mechanical advice of McGill, McKenzie, Eric Goodman, Mark Rippetoe, Bret Contreras, etc… to not much improvement.. maybe there’s more connection with the mind. I hope I figure this out before losing another decade to back pain

  • i have a question about antibiotics. you say that if we take them, we destroy all the good bacteria in our gut along with the infection we are taking the antibiotics for. which makes sense. but why doesn’t the antibiotics kill all these bad bacteria that are causing all the trouble with their messages to the mitochondria telling us to eat sugar and whatnot?

  • Is it true that patients with a true penacilin allergy are more likely to react to cephlasporins?? (Im a nurseive been told this in theatre)

  • What is you opinion of the corona vaccine as there hasn’t been enough testing or time to see long term effects of it; yet it seems to be being steam rolled out in most countries?

  • Suggestion steam bowl with cut up ginger and garlic inhale the vapour good daily/ frequent this helps as both ginger and garlic have anti viral properties(can microwave it) may help lungs. Also make ginger tea (root) and drink & eat the ginger that has brewed and cooled down, the gingerols very good for throat. You can also chop up some garlic small and swallow with water, good before bed. This is very good, the allicin (smell) is the good part (Health). Personally, im a believer in prevention is better than the cure. Garlic and ginger i find helps immune system, good to have daily. In moderation( use your own descretion and research according to your own health situation) Above all this put your Faith in Yahushua Messiah, He is real and the ultimate real healer, He is soon to return, repent of sins. He died and rose again for our sins Psalm 53. Shalom.

  • My dad found out as an adult that he’s allergic to shrimp by eating it at a wedding and having a sever allergic reaction. He was given Benadryl, and it turns out he’s allergic to that, too! What a story lol

  • Ah, so you were My Very Excellent Mother Just Served Us Nine Pizzas children, not My Very Excellent Mother Just Served Us Nachos children.

  • How do you know which generation a over the counter generic is? I just got a generic antihistamine yesterday hopefully it is second generation.

  • So, we who grew up in the 50s and 60s on PBJ sandwiches and fought the dog for scraps in the dirt in the backyard have fewer allergies. Whodathunk it. Department of the obvious. DON’T bubblewrap kids!

  • Well. As a singer, it’s common to hear not to drink milk. It might not produce more mucus, but it does thicken the saliva for a bit. Idk who was ever drinking milk and singing, but anything other than water does the same kinda think. It’s really difficult to sing right after eating or drinking anything other that water

  • I wish I could ask Dr Mike if he’s ever dealt with a patient who had Munchausen’s or Munchausen’s by Proxy. I had to deal with this growing up and would love to hear a real Dr’s opinion on that type of thing!

  • Interesting antibiotic discussion. Now I’m wondering about my own brush with them. As a kid, penicillin gave me bad hives shortly after taking it. As an adult, years ago, I tried asking my (then) primary to test me, he said no, so I dropped it. Another doctor gave me Clarithromycin when he thought I had strep throat, had a bad reaction 48 hrs later. Lastly, after a hike in the mountains, found a tick buried in my back, another doctor gave me a sulfa drug as a precaution. 10 days later, developed pulsating hives that grew so large, I became one big hive head to toe. (Took 4 doctors to figure out it was the sulfa.)These have all been in my med chart as an allergy, but after hearing you talk, I researched more and I guess I fall into the category of hypersensitivity to them since I don’t have anaphylaxis. Thank you for the info, appreciate it and your channel!:)

  • I love hearing the perspectives. A GP dr and a specialist. And i feel like u point things out when ppl would normally need clarification because some doctors don’t kind of understand not everyone can understand how they’re explaining things. Basically just explained layman terms lol.

  • One weird thing is that in a country like italy, which does not use peanut butter at all, peanut allergy is very, very rare.
Maybe there is something in the way proteins configure when prepared as butter that triggers development of allergies (couldnt find any study about it though, not confirming nor denying this theory).
Could it be possible though, from a purely speculative point of view?

  • I have a question about the Oral allergy syndrome. When I eat raw onions it burns, not like hot peppers or anything its more of a stingy burn like a bad burn. After I eat the raw onion it gives me upset stomach and as it passes through my system it hurts or is uncomfortable for days. On the other hand cooked onions in any way are great and give me no problems at all. I avoid raw onions because of this since I know that it will just cause problems even though they taste good. Would this be that or do you think a food allergy?

  • i have sinuses and i used to take lots of pills because of it but now i learned how i can avoid the symptoms and if i get them i always look for a way to calm them down without medicine and they work most of the time. I only take medicine when the symptoms are too strong n i can´t deal with them, my parents didn´t let me operate it because is risky and i didn´t really need to so i live with it and is not a big straggle anymore

  • When I was a baby, I had a horrible reaction to penicillin (spent several days in the hospital because of it), so I was labeled as allergic to penicillin. More than 10 years later, an ER doctor gave me something that had amoxicilin in it (in our hurry, both me and my mom forgot to mention my history with penicillin, and nobody asked), and once again, I had a reaction to it (not as big as the last time, though), so I now just make an extra effort to point out this, even my husband knows that he has to say it whenever I need it (just in case I forget)

  • BIG PHARMA PROPAGANDA Nature provided a lot of amazing healing properties.. nobody in Their right minds will think that a bit of lemon juice is a cure.. but High Dose Vitamin C Treatments saved my Mother from Fatal Cancer when Pharma was insisting on her having Intense Chemotherapy.. PHarma is in the business of making money.. not healing people.. People are waking up to this all over the world thankfully

  • Me: has birch pollen OAS to apples and cherries, eats apple pie because it’s the only way I can eat apples, but lives in a country where we don’t do cherry pie.
Me now: google “how to peel a cheery”

  • When I was younger I thought I was just sick all the time, constant colds. Then I moved countries to a place with not many plants or animals and NOTHING! Then when I went back home to visit all my “illnesses” came back and I couldn’t breathe or see! I’ve had the allergens test and it showed I was allergic to a lot of stuff, but I never realised how buy how much! So it was kinda the opposite for me

  • That bamba study is great for its parameters, which is prevention, but it does nothing to treat those who suffer from anaphylactic food allergies to start with, especially foods other than peanuts.

While there are significantly fewer cases of peanut allergy in Israel compared to the UK, US, and Canada, sesame allergy is well on the rise in Israel.

Think about it, a food that is so prominently Israeli that children are exposed to it even before they’re born in massive amounts compared to other countries outside the ME, is the source of a rising allergy population in a country with a very ignorant view about food allergy among its general population.

By logic of the bamba study, early exposure should play a significant role in reducing the likelihood of anaphylactic food allergy. Yet that very exposure to sesame is doing the opposite.

    So what gives?

  • Aspartame does not cause cancer, nor dose it “rot” your brain. The European Food Safety Authority (EFSA),Food and Drug Administration (FDA), and the National Cancer Institute (NCI) al say that it des not cause Cancer.

  • Son has reflex and was on elecare/elecare junior formula. He was on omperzole for years. he has poor growth height and weight. is now 4 almost 5 years old has developed a food aversion due to being on formula so long. What do I do!! (He has had multiple scopes upper and lower and has come back abnormal also).

  • Dr Mike, my son gets hives all over his body after he gets wet. The hives go away after a few hours. he reacts to any types of water. He sees a allergist and they say he has Aquagenic urticaria… have you heard of this?

  • The reason why Pluto is not a planet is because there are thousands of planets bigger and if we count Pluto, we would have to count them as well.

  • My mom and I were told that I’m allergic to red food coloring (I’ve discovered through the years that it’s specifically red 40) when I was about five.

    My family didn’t change anything.

Don’t always count on parents do do what’s best for their children.

  • Dr Mike, would you know why occasionally I will break it into hives on my face and neck when drinking alcoholic drinks? For example: one day I could be drinking a white claw and have a reaction and a week later drink that same type of drink and be fine? I don’t get it

  • Same thing happens to me when I take amoxicillin lol. The first time I remember it happening I was 16 or 17 (I had strep), I just randomly woke up covered in what looked like hives. I was like what in the world lol

  • You guys missed a huge cure for allergies in your video. A Kinesiologist. Allergies can be cured without pain or drugs. Both food and airborne allergies. I am proof of it and so is my daughter. I had several allergies to things like mold, grass, maple trees and more, including a severe cat allergy. One treatment and no more allergies and it has been 15 years my cat sleeps with me every night nothing. I have had tried everything the doctors told me to do. Drugs and allergy shots, they did not work but the treatment my Kinesiologist did worked. My Daughter had severe digestive issues which caused her to end up with a flaccid colon and heartburn at age 8. The doctors could not even tell me why. They first told me dairy was the issue but after removing dairy from her diet for two years it changed nothing. They told me she will have to be on stool softeners and antacids for the rest of her life. Again one treatment with the Kinesiologist and no more digestive problems and she eats everything she wants. I wish people would know about this option, it is such a blessing.

  • does anyone know of a product that i could put into my food to see if it contains any of the things i’m allergic to? there have been way too many times i’ve accidentally poisoned myself because i thought a food was “safe” and it wasn’t… like i’m allergic to sesame and one restaurant used sesame oil in their burgers… why?????? i would love some kind of litmus test i could personalize to show when my specific allergy triggers are present in food!

  • ONE. HUNDRED. PERCENT. everyone’s like “Oh don’t worry about it, they don’t have hair that gives allergies”

Why is my face turning into a rash, lady? Why is my face and hands blowing up?!

  • I just learned that my oral allergy syndrome is a real thing. I started having problems eating apples, peaches, pears, apricots, plums, pluots, tomatoes, you name it but when I cook/prepare them it’s fine. Mind boggling!

  • Is it OK to take Vital Reds during the interval fasting? If my last meal is at 5 pm for example, and I am not planning to eat again till say 10 am the next day, if I take Vital Reds at 7am is this breaking the fast? Or is it ok?

  • I’m one of those who is allergic to penicillin. I was not allergic as a kid. I became allergic as an adult, about 6 years ago. All of a sudden, I was on it for a bad sinus infection, and I broke out in hives all over my body (literally everywhere including my scalp). I stopped taking the antibiotic, the hives started to get better. I took one more dose, they got worse again. I went to the ER. I’ve since also developed a similar allergy to Zithromax, about a year ago for that one, again broke out with hives all over my body, though not quite as bad as the amoxicillin ones. I have done the skin testing for both of them and had it confirmed that I’m allergic to them (and to voltaren as well, which also gave me hives when I used it in gel form). Nice to know I have something in common with Doctor Mike, though.:) We can take the inferior antibiotics together.

  • I would love to hear your opinion on people with relatively severe allergies who take medication daily basically to stay alive and then figure, “I have to take my meds anyway, why not smoke/have pets that I’m allergic to” etc. This is incredibly frustrating to me, as I feel like you should do everything possible to lessen your symptoms without meds, even if you have to be on them anyway, but I’m not a doctor so I’d love a professional’s take. Thanks! (I realize it’s months after publication so I have no idea if my comment will be read by the powers that be but I’m trying)

  • Great Information, thank you!

I have almost ruined myself by dieting in order to reduce weight and my family was very worried, because i use to gain and loose weight abruptly.

Luckily, I started using this “How To Eat” mobile app by lokesh which made me eat the right foods and in right way and using a game like points etc.and made it funny!

now, i have reduce weight in a clean way

  • Pluto is now considered a dwarf planet. There are two lesser known dwarf planets as well. They are called Eris and Ceres. Maybe there are even more dwarf planets, but these are the ones I know.

  • 29:12 Just so you know, Dr. Mike, Pluto (by “geophysical planet definition”,) is considered a dwarf planet, as it fails to “clear the neighborhood around its orbit”. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pluto
Technically, because it is a trans-Neptunian dwarf planet, it can also be called a “plutoid”, (based upon the International Astronomical Union’s decision) coined on June 11, 2008. The decision can be found here… https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dwarf_planet#Name

  • I used to have asthma as a child, it’s just went away around puberty and I’ve been fine ever since. Weird how things can just disappear.

  • A lot of vets still follow the avoidance of potential allergens strategy as well. I’ve found that varying up diet is the best way to prevent cats from developing allergies. I hope this knowledge of how allergens develop spills over to animal care as well. Often times, I meet owners who feed 1 brand/flavor of food to their cats their entire lives, and they develop health issues often as a result of feeding poor quality food (eg. diabetes), but the cat has developed sensitivities and now can’t change foods without having further problems. There’s a huge misconception that eating the same thing is easier on their bodies. Wild animals have varied diets for a reason. I would love if you discussed diet, allergens, and various other topics with a vet and contrast and compare. Maybe collab with vet ranch?

  • I do have a penicillin allergy. The last time it was around me, I had a hive within 20 minutes. I can’t eat certain cheeses. I have gotten into huge arguments with doctors about how even though I’m not taking it, I can not have it around me. Irony: I was nearly killed because doctors did not read my chart when I was in labour with a GBS+ diagnosis, even with a red tag on my wrist for allergies to penicillin.

  • The ad before this video started was for Hungry Jack’s (Australian version of Burger King). It’s odd to click on a medical video and get an ad like this btw I know Dr. Mike doesn’t choose the ads, but I feel like there should be some sort of choice for the channel over the type of ad that is on before the video

  • mines are usually smaller, don’t know the cause, but it honestly only happens every once in a while and it goes away with time so I usually not that worried about it
