  • please be careful, there is a lot of evidence out there that you SHOULD NOT store chopped up onions!!!! When I chop them up, I freeze them, but don’t just keep it in your fridge. Onions seem to take in all the bacteria around!

  • FABULOUS Ideas. My only concern, particularly for somebody with gut issues ( which I have too) is the raw spinach. I absolutely LOVE raw or cooked Spinach, but after all the E-Coli scares with Spinach and Romaine, I heard a Bacteriologist ( Reputable) on the Radio say that he would personally never eat Raw Spinach due to the high incidence of contaminationthat you should at least steam it. Just a thought.

  • That turkey needs flavor to be in my taco. I’ve never had a piece of boiled turkey in my life and I just don’t want to it doesn’t sound like a good idea to me. Maybe if there was butter and seasoning in the water. But I do want to see healthier snack options something that I can eat while I’m driving or take to work. The beef and noodles is something I will try, and even the tuna pasta and falafel.

  • I tried the flavoured olive oil ice cubes hack today and it turned out just horrible. The cubes simply would not get out from my ice form. I guess noone wants to have an ice form forever filled with flavoured olive oil (even if it’s unbelievably tasty), so I had to proceed with shaking the form desperately till it literally cracked into pieces. Rest in peace, ice form. 0/10, Wouldn’t recommend this hack. I hope someone finds this comment and saves their time.

  • I order bulk food online but NEVER fresh fruit or veg from supermarket. They always give you the least fresh items. I have a local milk delivery company (glass bottles to your door) they supply fresh local fruit and veg. Amazing.

  • Here we fry oignons with lot of oil and store it in a metal pot in the fridge its stays weeks.metal because metal gets colder and keeps cold.

  • Everything is healthy except the chicken the prosciutto(class A carcinogen) and the eggs.. I have better sources of protein like soy and beans and vegan blends. But since u prepared for the whole week it ain’t that much meat and eggs so overall I’d say is 90% healthy which is 10 times more than others would have.

  • I really liked this because most of the “quick and easy meal ideas I see turn out to be complicated. I will try the salad in the mason jar idea and see if shaking it mixes the sauce but -people, just put it into a bowl and it will be fine.

  • Contrary to a lot of people, I find baking to be more stressful than cooking. It takes longer, I have to pre-heat it to a certain temperature, and I have to be more careful that I don’t overcook it or risk burning something more easily.

  • Erm… not to rain on your parade, but, chopped onions / garlic, and specially garlic in oil, are very susceptible to developing botulism, which is very dangerous. You should never infuse oil with raw garlic, nor store pre-chopped onion for longer than a few hours to a day!

  • I made the Thai salad with shrimp for a little extra protein. My wife ate it for 3 days.

    And the sauce does mix if you shake the jar. And by shake, I mean shaking it like a shake weight.

  • Hey @RemingtonJames, If you throw away your chicken pieces, here is an idea, throw it in a stock pot with carrots, celery, onion, garlic, whole peppercorns, and even some whole bay leaves. The stock makes a great breakfast and with the remainder “waste” can be used for composting, but be quick, it does draw pests. “waste not want not”:)

    1.) Cook a bunch of food.

    2.) Put cooked food in plastic food containers and attach lids.

    3.) Store containers of cooked food in the refrigerator for later.

    This, of course, is not an attack on your channel or the importance of meal prep. It is, merely, a question of the absurdity of wasting your time with such content when it can, instead, be spent telling us something that is actually useful.

  • Dyo microwaving sweet potato significantly increases the glyxemic index essentially defeating the point of using sweet potato which is low gi. You just added a big serving of sugar by microwaving it.

    Bake them or boil them. Only microwave briefly to warm up.

  • prechopping onions and storing them raw is so dangerous as onions absorb so much bacteria from the environment. They say that when u go to a new city, eat raw onions of that place.. it will build up immunity against bacteria /viruses of that place and u will not get ill like flu or diarrhea.

  • People trying to lose weight better get used to food not tasting great. Doesn’t matter how much you season food, fat salt and sugar is what makes shit taste good and losing weight requires you to give that up.

  • A turkey, bacon, cheddar breakfast sandwich only has those ingredients on it. That egg concoction had broccoli, red peppers, red onion, garlic powder, and milk! There were a lot more ingredients than what was written on that wrapper. Just list everything since all of this stuff freezes for a month.

  • The stems of the veggies are also eddible! I always use to throw them away. Just take out the top layer that may be dry and the back tip of the stem and it can be cut and cooked��

  • Kinda new to weight lifting and meal prepping so I have quite a few questions lol. So you save those 9 containers for 7 days, how do you split them up over those 7 days? Also is this meal for dinner specifically, what about breakfast and maybe a lunch meal? I’m just trying to meal prep for dinner, eggs for breakfast and something for lunch idk like steak or that might be too much, it seems so complex and hard at first to get the right foods and the right amounts.

  • I like this videovery informative! However, you should NOT mince/dice/chop your garlic ahead of time. It degrades the nutrients in the garlic and makes marinades more bitter. For quick chopped garlic/onions, you can buy a hand powered chopper it’s a game changer!

  • I hope you didn’t throw away all the broccoli stems and the pak Choi stems… �� It’s all good to be eaten and taste the same as the leaves. Even better actually. For the broccoli, just peel off the outer skin, chop them, and cook them. They even taste better then the broccoli themselves. Try and let me know. And please, don’t throw away what don’t have to be thrown away.

  • garlic will turn green after its cut and having chopped onions and garlic in your fridge is gonna smell everything up including your milk and juice which is gross unless you have a separate refrigerator for those….

  • I tried to do meal prep for a week but everytime I do it my rice won’t hold up more then 24 hours. its getting watery in day 2 and I don’t know what I did wrong coz I did cool it down before put in the fridge.
