  • I have read a Natural healing books some 20 years ago.

DO NOT DRINK milk together with your meals like rice, vegetables & meat.
I noticed that many like to drink tea or coffee mix with milk followed by fruit during meals when working.
Milk cannot digest well with those food n can cause toxic in the body. Drink clear soup or clear liquid instead. Hope it helps.

  • Dr Ekberg, you make it sound in your videos as if anaerobic exercise is to be avoided at all cost. I am 52 and I notice that whenever I run regularly 3 to 4 times a week, I lose weight and can maintain it. Whenever I stop the weight goes up. Could you do a video on this topic and explain a bit more about the benefits of anaerobic exercise as I am sure there must be some. Thanks so much, Anna.

  • Hello, I am Hyunjung a Korean medical student. I am taking KMLE in next Jan. I was wondering if there is a way I can quickly examine a thyroid gland by anteriorly approaching patients. Thank you so much for the video. It helped me a lot:)

  • Hey Dr. Ekberg, thank you for all the wonderful content. Anyhow, I have been diagnosed with diabetes and my Endocrinologist has told me that studies show a ketogenic diet can lead to early death. Have you heard anything about these “studies” and why they are telling me this? Im finding the hardest part about having diabetes is sifting through the information and misinformation.

  • Dr Ekberg TYSM for your all your helpful videos! I’ve been arguing with my GP for years. Telling her that only testing TSH and giving me 200mcg of levothyroxine is not going to cure my problem. What type of specialist should I see to do the proper tests to find out why my thyroid isn’t functioning properly? I have been doing KETO for quite some time, have lost 90 lbs but now I keep falling off the wagon a couple x a week because I’ve been at a weight standstill for so long that it gets me depressed and then I break down and indulge in carbs. I just want to lose 30 more pounds and get to the bottom of my thyroid problem, as well as stop my hair loss. HELP PLEASE!! What specialist should I see?

  • Fantastic. Clear and concise as always. The only thing I disliked was the thumbnail slightly misleading, I was looking forward to body signs of hypo/hyperthyroidism along with the rest.

  • I just got diagnosed with Hyperthyroidism. Sadly, I haven’t been able to go back to my doctor to get another blood test and, take action on the problem due to Covid-19… One thing I can’t find a full answer on is Hyperthyroidism an autoimmune disease? If someone could answer my question that would be great!

  • Your video actually helped me discover that I had a 1″ nodule on my thyroid. I watched tons of other videos and wasn’t able to distinguish my thyroid from other structures in my throat. I looked in the mirror and pushed aside the strap muscles and saw the nodule. Then I felt around and realized that what I was feeling wasn’t symmetrical to the other side. I had it biopsied last week and I’m awaiting results on that and my bloodwork. I was tested for TPO antibodies amongst many other things. I know this video is meant to help medical students but it helped me, a regular person! Thank you for making this very thorough, very descriptive video. You may have saved my life.

  • If a person is not getting enough selenium, T4 will not be converted to T3. Selenium is not necessary for the plant kingdom and therefore plants will grow without it (depleted soils). If livestock is fed selenium-deficient feed, the livestock will not contain any selenium when processed into food for human consumption. My point is; iodine should not be given without selenium.

  • Can you please add international captions to your videos? I’d love to share some videos, but some of my family members and friends don’t speak English. I would suggest to activate the captions in Spanish, French, German, Russian, Polish and Italian. So your audience would probably grow faster. Thanks a lot.

  • Another great video, thanks! Wish I knew of you when I lived in Atlanta…hoping to schedule a video appointment with you soon and having you as my doctor.

  • I cannot thank you enough. I feel lucky to have found your channel. I have been binge watching (pun intended) your videos since last week. I have cut out breakfast and don’t miss it at all and now eat at 12 and 6pm. I am not hungry and feel great. This “diet” or eating philosophy feels substantive and long term. And you had me at “Avocados…”

  • I have thyroid toxic goiter, it’s to harden working much because so fast my heartbeat,, I super in loss weight, dry skin and depression etcetera.

  • I thought you might be interested in my story. I had most of my thyroid removed at age 11 due to hyperthyroid. Longtime allergies as a child. Leaky gut for sure (I was adopted and bottle feed). Anyway, they left a little piece in and in my twenties, I did a macrobiotic diet which contains a lot of sea veggies and fermented miso, which I consumed daily for years. By the age of 30, I went from possibly having Hashimotos to having grown the thyroid back. That was confirmed by an ultrasound in my thirties when it was functioning normally. I’ve had issues over the years off and on depending on diet and lifestyle. Certain herbs, supplements and foods have been helpful and those have changed with age. Treating my microbiome with pre and probiotic foods has been key as well. Anyway, not everyday you hear about an organ regrowing (from a small bit that was left in), but here I am. Thanks for your very helpful videos.

We are actually allergic to iodine.

We have symptoms from both lists. Lots of goiters and enormous tumors, but sensitive to heat and cold. Definitely need a/c. Resting heart rate 142. Heart palps. Obesity. Antibodies under 50. They dont report actual nu.ber of antibodies here, just under or over 50.

My mom, grandma and aunt have had thyroidectomy and still grow goiters in that area. So far my grandmas had 8 surgeries ny moms had 4 and needs another and my aunt has has had 5.

to many problems like weight gain and other issues. For this “Planet Ayurveda” offers a “Hypothyroid care pack”. It’s very effective.

  • Of course I have issues with my thyroid Bessie wish someone would just listen one time!!, As most women do even little nodules on my thyroid. But who gives a flying rat!!! The Endo doc’s are a joke here in NY and here in the US!! UNLESS your neck is swole up like u swallowed a grapefruit or if your eyes aren’t bulging out of your sockets like you just saw the Christ or they are abt to take a dive out of their sockets nooooo body cares! Hypo-thyrodism gets no respect trust me on this! I am up to nearly 400lbs all bc my Endo or endo’s I hv seen in the past all say well u hv nodules but we r just going to watch it and keep an eye on it waiting to see if it turns cancerous!‍♀️ My thyroid begin dying pretty much shortly after I had a partial hysterectomy at 39 and started the change, going through menopause 16 yrs ago. I never ever heard nothing sooo ridiculous in all my life we will just keep an eye on it to see how the nodules change!!! Here in the US thyroid issues in women gets abt as much attention as a gnat. Btw I was given levorthyroxin and decided to toss it in the garbage! The dosage was tooolow and it pretty much excuse the expression gang-raped my sleep which I was already suffering with insomnia for years that I jus tossed the bottle of pills in the garbage.” If u r going to treat me treat me with a high enough dosage to wake up my dead lethargic Thyroid.

  • Dr. Ekberg, really enjoy all your programs, and like to visit your office, can you tell me where do you practice? I live in LA currently, thank you!

  • Dr. Ekberg, I am from Scottsdale, AZ. I just started watching your youtube videos that have taught me a lot about food and my body. I started doing intermittent fasting for the first time in my life, actually I am pushing my limits to 20/4 hrs. So far I am okay. My question is regarding crossfit. I just started going to crossfit 3 times a week (3 hrs total). I did this 2 years ago for 2 years and helped me a lot. I saw a lot of muscles I did not know I had. My question is, can I do this type of activity while I am fasting. Is it sustainable? I have read more negative reports than positive. Do you have any suggestions?
I weigh 145 right now and I am 5’3”. Thanks!
