Facts About Bioidentical Hormone Therapy

Video taken from the channel: MenopauseSociety

There are two main types of natural hormone replacement therapy (HRT): Bioidentical HRTs involves taking bioidentical plant hormones to correct hormone imbalances. Traditional natural HRTs involves consuming plants or supplements that may help to alleviate hormonal symptoms. As for claims that bioidentical hormones are more “natural” than those mass produced, the estrogen used in the most commonly used hormone therapies—Prempro (conjugated estrogen and medroxyprogesterone) and Premarin (conjugated estrogen)—are made from a natural ingredient: pregnant mares’ urine.

One such therapy, bioidentical hormone replacement therapy (BHRT), has gotten a lot of attention in recent years. It promises a “natural” solution to hormone issues. Women who decide not to supplement their declining levels of estrogen with prescription hormones may want to choose from a variety of “natural” remedies that may help relieve their menopausal symptoms. While a balanced menopause diet should consist of lean protein, complex carbs, and healthy fats, good examples of foods that can be added as natural alternatives to hormone replacement therapy include the following: 1,2,3 Estrogen-boosting foods include those containing phytoestrogens, like soy, alfalfa, chickpeas, legumes, soybeans, and yams. Bioidentical Hormone Replacement (BHRT) is a natural solution to restore hormone balance, regain your quality of life and help you feel like you did before the side effects of aging and hormone decline.

Bioidentical hormones are a natural plant-based replica of the hormones that our bodies produced when we were younger. Bioidentical hormone replacement therapy is the use of hormones to help resolve symptoms related to hormonal imbalance or decline in hormone production tied to aging. Certain hormone treatments are called “bioidentical” or sometimes “natural” because the types of hormones used are chemically identical (according to molecular studies) to those produced by. Our hormone therapy experts have helped thousands of patients regain quality of life through all-natural Bioidentical Hormone Health programs.

BodyLogicMD bioidentical hormone therapy starts by measuring the various hormone levels in your body using a comprehensive blood, urine, or serum test. By determining the baseline levels, our BodyLogicMD’s highly trained practitioners will customize a natural hormone therapy replacement plan specifically for each woman based on her individual. Natural Estrogen Hormone Therapy for Women Hormonal imbalance affects millions of women in the United States. Conditions, such as menopause, thyroid dysfunction, and hypoactive sexual desire disorder (HSDD) are linked to out-of-balance hormones.

The symptoms of hormonal imbalance can be life-altering.

  • Can you please look at the Happy Hormone Cottage. I was seeing a natural path here in NC and was receiving bio identical testosterone/estrogen pellet (do not do these) i promise you, this messed me up bad!!!!! Once I had my third one I was crazy. I them found the Hormone Cottage in Centerville, OH and this is when I had the Dutch Urine test done. Bc of the pellets, my testosterone was out of control!!!! Katie, i promise you, woman should NEVER do the pellets. Put it this way. I have been a crazy Bitch for a couple years. Within a month of seeing my new Hormone specialist, my husband told me what a difference he saw in me.

  • This is me! I’ve actually been tracking my symptoms the last 6 months. I asked my dr to test my hormones, my thyroid at least, and they wouldn’t. So now I’m looking for a new dr. I for sure see a difference in my mood & energy after ovulation. It’s like I’m a different person. Are you getting gynecologist care from this dr too?

  • Katie.. On the flip side, I don’t understand why you have to take anything extra if the Hormones are being placed in your system. Did he explain. Meaning if you don’t do anything extra will that cause any problems with your replacements.

  • I bet I have no testosterone either. Does it affect your sex drive and body hair? I have flat lined with sex drive. I don’t grow hair on my legs anymore. I just had my thyroid checked thinking that was why, but it was normal.

  • If you are getting frustrated with your doctor regarding your hormones it’s most likely because he/she doesn’t have bioidentical hormone replacement therapy training. Once I started on my testosterone, the world became a better place. Now I have energy, my libido is great, I stopped spotting in between cycles, my cycles are back to normal, I just feel five years younger! However, it did take a whole year and a half for my body to catch up. No, my insurance doesn’t cover my bill, $350.

  • My wife has been getting pellets for a number of years. We had to find a new Pellet Doctor. This Doctor asked me to have my Testosterone tested. Turns out I have almost ZERO. So I started on Testosterone for men. In one year I have lost 70 pounds. Turns out hormone change for both men and women as we age.

  • Hello! You mentioned that you felt really tired after taking the progesterone. Can you tell me what the Alpha-Preg/ Beta-Preg Ratio (3rd result) from your urine lab testing was? I help interpret results for the urine hormone lab and love your videos all of them, not just the hormone ones:) (hopefully you also spoke with your doctor about that?)

  • I hope u feel better soon but this video is all over the place you couldnt recall most of what was told to you by Dr i was hoping this video would have been helpful but you basically scrambled my brain worse then before i watched this video and funny how you mentioned how you screwed up your explanation so u basically stressed me out more then before this video should be taken down lady and redo it without be a ditzy fool lol

  • Normal testosterone levels for women according to the National Institutes of Health is 30 to 95 ng/dL. You said 2-6 is normal which is extremely low.

  • LOTS of questions about what type of doctor I saw. He specializes in Bioidentical Hormone Therapy. From what I’ve been told, your regular gynecologist or general practice doctor will not do this extensive type of testing, so it is important to find somebody who specializes in bioidentical hormone therapy. His practice is through BodyLogicMD and they have lots of locations around the country. Hope that helps!!

  • An awesome way to sort out cholesterol, is to eat more porridge oats. My cholesterol hopped up to 5.3 for seemingly no reason. I went away and looked up ways to help it out and started having porridge oats a lot more. The very next time I got it checked, six months later, it was 4.4! And my good cholesterol went up and the bad went down. Pretty much the only thing I changed was eating more oats.xx Also, if you guys are done having babies, maybe Cullen could step up and take over the birth control on a more permanent basis, that way you don’t have to have gone through everything you did to get the kids, have the kids and everything else AND have the birth control put on your plate too, when you are needing to get your body in balance.xx

  • Hi Katie! I just stumbled upon your channel. I have struggled with PMDD for YEARS! Was actually misdiagnosed with bipolar 2. I’ve been taking Myo-inositol for the last 2 cycles and it has been life changing for me. The 3 days leading up to ovulation are still shaky but I’ll take that over the 3 weeks of drowning that I had before.

  • Fertility drops DRAMATICALLY after the age of 35.. as shown with her hormone results.. Our bodies are meant to have babies young….. unfortunately.

  • Hi,my progesteron and tetosteron are also low and I’ve been really depressed, did you experience depression, can hormonal therapy cure depression related to hormonal imbalances, please help?

  • Cheese and Dairy was causing me to have in adverse reaction in my GUT. It has been super hard but totally worth it. Cutting it out or limiting it a lot has helped me a lot. I take the same types of vitamins and on progesterone and the cream testosterone (applied to lady bits TMI). But it now is part of my daily routine and has been great. My energy is better and drive for life is better. Im super excited for you to continue treatment. You should try maybe the copper IUD without the hormones which was what I decided best after trying the Mirana with crazy side effects. Hope you the best! Good Luck you got this.

  • Hi Katie. You are so gorgeous and love your videos! This is Mia from Teddy Blake Designer Handbags and we would love to team up with you. Connect with us through our Instagram account. Our username is @teddy_blake. Hope to hear back! XO

  • I wanted to share my IUD experience, in case it can be of help as you travel this journey. I have the ParaGard, and have had it for just over a year. My only negative has been a heavier cycle, however beyond that, noting negative to note, and it indeed does it’s job to prevent pregnancy. I chose it very much because I have hormone issues, and didn’t want to add another dose of hormones to the mix. Best of luck!!!

  • When you take D3, you need to take K2 as well. K2 helps the body absorb D3, and cal ium too they work together.

High cholesterol is high, usually when there’s inflammation, based on our diet. So, the body produces cholesterol to fight inflammation. Also when we are stressed, the body does the same, in order to fix the issues. The body is AMAZING, our lifestyle more than anything can heal us if we are patient. Sometimes it’s a little boost with vitamins supplements, or BIH

  • My vitamin D levels are low too. My vitamin D pills make me feel so much more alive, I truly hope the same for you if you suffer from the symptoms of lack of vitamin D. Hoping the best for your health!

  • should be ashamed of yourself for attaching your name to anti radiation products like the Matrix that neither work or publish real test results. There is enough fear out there without you or any other celebrity attaching their name to hype bogus products. The bottom line is the cell phone is a microwave emitter and receiver…if the phone works it emits radiation and exposure is cumulative…do you even know anything about what you put your name to?

  • OMG this sounds like me so much. I loved being pregnant and felt so good. So balanced. I have been thinking about getting my hormone levels checked.

  • She’s so full of crap plus her face doesn’t move, BOTOX??? Look for her at Vons grocery Palm Springs and you’ll see a very old sun aged woman. Another Book sale tour for $$$$$$$

  • I have low testosterone as well I tried the topical cream, but honestly…. I didn’t get much from it at all. I would be interested to try the injection/pellet option! Thank you so much for sharing, Katie. I have many similar issues, with not much improvement thus far. I think it’s time for some more research and another Dr’s visit soon!
Take care, good luck, and hugs!

  • by the way speaking of microwaves I wish Suzanne Summer would find the right scientists and doctors who have done studies on this… I stopped using my microwave several months ago I don’t use it at all..

it’s even unplugged.. I don’t miss it and my house seems to have a more Serene quality about it.

I finally heard what a friend had warned me about in 1991..

… I finally saw the light…get those things out of your homes..they’re really dangerous..

…they do not belong there… by the way if you live in California please look at what’s been happening with those odd fires…

…. things made out of paper and even certain trees are not burning.

.. you can see the interview with the seasoned fire chief who has been in the industry for 30 plus years.. he gives his credentials and his education.

…he himself says this is not a normally occurring fire ; something unnatural is happening and he says that he has never seen anything like this ever in his 30 years… that even engine blocks have a hole drilled through them.

people who are in the know say that this is being caused by direct energy weapons meaning microwave…or lasar beam technology..

some people believe that the combination of the smart meters and your microwaves in your home make it much easier for this to happen..

    … why is this happening?

a lot of people think it is agenda 21.. well usually it’s more that you have to follow the money Trail..

a lot of things are more about greed.. so follow the money.

… somebody pointed out that all of these fires happen to be occurring on the map for the new railroad that is slated to be built.
    I guess the powers-that-be have gotten even more insanely villanous and greedy;
and rather than at least resorting to eminent domain they have a new brand of it where they don’t even care if they kill people.

I hope these effers go to jail and if anyone dies I hope they reinstate the death penalty specifically for these disgusting things that call themselves human beings.

  • My saddest thing with perimenopause that I totally lost my sexdrive. The problem cannot really be insane if you single,(no nudging husband)but when you dont feel sexual, you dont feel wanted,or pretty and you stop caring about your look.Thats happened to me.And I am 45 and I want my enthusiasm back to take care of myself.

  • Ryan got a vasectomy back in December after we had Ren! He said it wasn’t that bad at all. Just make sure to research the doctor well:) Hormone birth controls are absolutely horrible for your body and mess up so much unfortunately! The copper IUD is hormone free, but your body can read it as a “foreign” object. I ended up getting pregnant and having a miscarriage on it, I had it removed immediately after. I had been going through some pretty deep depression and anxiety around that time and within 12 hours of removal it was like a light switch. Not completely gone due to my PTSD…but it was no longer the deep depression that it was. So I am a firm believer in that “foreign object” effect that it has had on people. I hope you start feeling better soon Katie! It sounds like you have found a pretty awesome doctor!

  • This sleeping solution works. I started off having sleep problems at an early age. Of almost all remedies I have tested, this plan is the only one that efficiently broke the cycle of my own insomnia. I got a lot better rest today that I had adopted the guide continually without fail. I discovered this tip on Google.. The name is Zoey Sυnodoz
    take care
