  • This actually works. I usually eat a couple times a day with alot of snacking in between. This morning I bought 3 packs of M&Ms and 2 20oz cokes..   • Is there any help for Type 2, 73 yr old diabetics to lose weight? This does not work at all for me. I live on a flour free, sugar free, salt free, packaged food free, and wheat free diet. “I” cook all my meals myself from fresh food and I do energy exercises (which work fantastic), Meditate at least 30 min. daily and do stationary bike for 30 minutes a day in addition to housework, gardening, helping others, etc.
    . The doctor has checked my thyroid (it’s ok). Been doing this daily for over10 months (systematically) and have not lost a pound.
    Diabetes and age are the worst challenge to weight loss And I have found nothing works except the keto diet IF YOU CAN GET ALL THE FAT IN YOUR SYSTEM FOR KETOSIS. (Lost 6 #’s first day and have yo-yo’d since back to original weight. Haven’t found a way to consume enough (healthy) fats. Feeling all these weight loss ideas are useless. But thanks for trying and especially not charging like all the other Charlatans..

  • I agree completely. While I do not practice mindfulness enough (actually only in a pinch) I feel more relaxed, better able to handle whatever is bothering me, more solution minded, and happier after just 5 to 10 minutes of mindfulness. I am not disciplined enough to do it regularly but I can totally recognize the benefits if I were to do it so.

  • Today is day 4 for me. I decided to take the step to mindful eating the first day of the COVID quarantine, hoping to make the best of my time at home. It certainly has been beneficial, I’m thinking of what and when I am eating.

Moving more is also challenging, as I bruised my poor heel way back in march, but I’ve been going to PT for that and it seems to be helping, WE’LL SEE. I guess trying this can’t hurt. I like the “no negative thoughts can harm you right now” I also have bipolar depresskon, and my iron has been super low for over a year now, on my 3rd infusion this week, so we’ll see.   • It can be harmful for those who have passed some traumatic experience in their childhood. Inviting people to come back there can be retraumatizing even if you say “you’re not reliving it”. Just saying it can be not enough.

  • This is great! But I’m having the hardest time clearly picturing myself as the person I imagine when I meditate my vision of myself is so very fuzzy and disconnected. I like the affirmations and have written them down to read when I start to mindlessly eat food. Since I quit smoking 4 years ago, all I want to  do is eat and have gained a lot of weight.   • This helps me a lot, I had anorexia for over 6 years and became deathly thin. I tried to recover on my own and developed binge eating disorder, but this really helps me learn to listen to my body’s own natural hunger cues instead of starving it. It helps me listen to my body and stop when I had enough. I am not perfect, I still over eat because my body is still afraid of starving again, but this does help me with my food anxiety and selflove. I am not trying to lose weight. I am trying to relearn how to listen to my body and give it what it wants and needs. Everything in moderation. There is a healthy weight for my body and it’s more than I would like it to be but this helps me accept my body how it is and still take care of it, it is also very bodypostive, which is why i love this meditation. Nothing triggers my eating disorder, so thank you so much. It also helps me sleep. I just got shoulder surgery so sleeping is hard. I over did working out so I have had a lot of surgeries because I also didn’t eat. I am still healing both physically and mentally and this really helps me <3

  • Let me explain why our subconscious is stronger than being consciously aware. Only 10% of our daily decisions are consciously. 90% are subconscious decisions based on neural connections we have built up over years. Ergo, when you are in deeply relaxed/deep sleep station your subconscious is stronger and still listening to what this guided meditation is telling you. You can subconsciously learn new habits or re-shape your neural connections. Subconscious habits are things you don’t really think about like driving, riding your bike, breathing, knowing where your house is etc. Really, it is that logical. There is no magic behind this! 😉 So, try it: It may help!

    3x i have been listening to this and a binaural beat to take processed sugar out of my diet. I was able to avoid dairy as i am actually allergic to it. Still weaning myself off sugar. Baby steps. ��

  • The amount of beauty in this video is phenomenal. I physically started crying when I imagined myself just the way I wanted to be. I didn’t understand why i was crying at the time, and I still don’t understand now. This video had made me feel so much better and more confident about my body. I just imagined myself in a white dress with light orange and yellow flowers on it and a straw sun hat carrying a wielded basket through a field/ garden of flowers (I happened to imagine a field by accident). I was throwing flowers around out of the basket and jumping up and down and running all over the place with a huge smile on my face. I looked like the happiest person on the planet. I think the beauty of that moment is what brought me to tears. Finally being on the way to thinking my body is perfect the way it is.
