  • For me, the pain of the negative emotions was too intense no joy is worth the devastation and suffering. So opening up and being willing is not really an option without believing that i will survive the next catastrophe.

  • But if I don’t use porn and media to distract myself I’m always stuck in a bath of negative/uncomfortable feelings.

I’ve been practicing ACT and CBT For a while now and it feels like I’m accepting the negative but it’s not getting better,

so I’m more ok feeling like crap all the time which is an improvement from before but still very painful

This video seems like it’s for people who have momentary melancholy, not a true depressive

  • Please read all the way, I had SEVERE anxiety, depression, ocd, anger issues, all of that was demonic oppression. Idec if you’re not religious, look up spiritual warfare anxiety, God has taken all of that away from me! Please look into it. Put your trust in God and he will set you free, it’s been placed upon my heart to tell everyone. God bless❤️
This helped me soooo much y’all. It only takes the faith of a mustard seed. I held on to that, make sure you fast to get rid of the demons, YOURE NOT CRAZY it’s Satan laughing in your face as you cry. God loves you so much and the only way is Jesus, that’s why medication doesn’t heal you it only numbs you

There are some YouTubers that REALLY helped me and my faith. Give your life to Jesus and repent, I was addicted to porn and listened to secular music etc….it’s all gateways for Demons LITERALLY DEMONS in the form of anxiety that torment you trust me I know

  • This sums up both my mother and myself. The problem with my mother being this way is that she never taught me to deal with any emotions positive or negative. Also, I remember life as a child before I partly shut my emotions down and it was misrable. If someone I cared about felt sad or mad I would feel intense emotions even though it had nothing to do with me. If something went really wrong around me my heart would start to race, adrenaline would flow, and my mind would freeze. I remember beating myself up for things I did wrong for years after the fact. If I watched a movie where an innocent person was harmed I would loose sleep for a couple of days. After shutting down things got better. How do I embrace such pain in order to really feel joy too? Is it worth it?

PS I have never been abused or had any kind of real trama in my life. I was raised by loving parents that are still married today. So I don’t know where this comes from other than just having a genetic tendency to be this way.

  • Thanks for the video content! Sorry for the intrusion, I am interested in your opinion. Have you researched Lammywalness Erase Depression Guide (do a google search)? It is a great one off guide for beating depression fast minus the headache. Ive heard some amazing things about it and my work buddy at very last got cool results with it.

  • When avoiding people, I feel like I have control over myself. Nobody can be rude to me, nobody can hurt me when I’m on my own. When I’m at a place where other people can judge me and make assumptions about me, I feel like they’re more in control over me than I am

  • Bless you! That was one of the best videos I’ve ever watched! You are an amazing therapist and communicator. Thank you so much!

  • Just wonderful, I’ve been looking for “all natural cures for depression and anxiety” for a while now, and I think this has helped. You ever tried Hanincoln Nanlivia Framework (search on google )? Ive heard some decent things about it and my colleague got excellent success with it.

  • I was trying to figure out how to stop isolating myself and came out realising I might not just be an introvert…. not gonna day I for sure have it but… yikes I fit into all the categories….

  • Then Jesus Christ said: “Come to me, all of you who are weary and carry heavy burdens, and I will give you rest.
Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me; for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls.

  • I been having depression since my dad died in my arms but my GOD is bigger than this depression and he’ll take this burden away once the time is right so hang in there

  • This vid is the first time I have heard some of the “mechanics” that are behind this menace. I wish I’d get my old self back. It took me almost 10 mins to write those two sentences. I can’t concentrate. The meds are helping but it’s still pretty foggy out there….

  • I avoid talking to people unless I’m with my partner now. I follow him around in social situations as I don’t want to interact with people unless he is there and don’t like trying to interact with people that we both know unless he is there.

  • If u want to be stress free and want some peace of mind then go for: amezing products and be always relaxed and far away from depression

  • Every noise feels like nails scraping on a blackboard. Sudden noises shoot electric shocks down to my toes, it’s so painful. Lately, I’ve experienced the most powerful anxiety attacks where I’ve thought I was going to pass out. I don’t really feel joy anymore, anti depressants have numbed that.I’m just existing till I die. I’ve had anxiety since primary school, I’m 56 now, and so looking forward to the end, It’s so hard to keep going. My mum used to tell me when I was a child, that I was worthless, nothing, and that I was just taking up space and a waste good air. Not worth the shit on her shoes. When I saw Pauline from the league of gentlemen, I was astounded. This was my mother. I must have been a really bad child.

  • How does a combat veteran get help? The V.A. will not help. The state will not help. I have a job. No Health insurance. I’m a part of America’s working poor. How does an American veteran get help? The V.A. will NOT HELP. HOW DOES A COMBAT VETERAN GET HELP?

  • I love the analogy you provide so much. I want to believe it’s true, but unfortunately with avoiding stress comes benefits. Let’s say you have IBS or reflux. Let’s say you have some sort of a heart problem. Regardless of how anxiety manifests itself in our bodies, it’s healthy to forget and to pause for a while. That gives our body sometime to heal. Now the trick is to find the right balance of avoidance and challenge. I strongly believe that experience and aging make us choose our battles and those we want to avoid. We just need to accept that we must miss out in order for our body to rest. It’s sad we can’t reach our “full potential” just because of our depression and anxiety. But it’s part of who we are, and we need to live with it peacefully. Or at least that’s my goal in life.

  • I kinda have anxiety from that stupid Angela app with that hacker dude he never came and thanks to this video this helped me get over with those thoughts of Angela

  • Oppression brings depression. Creativity was cut off. Many people do not know how to make friends. Lack interpersonal relationships. We need emotional intelligence training. Life awareness and life skills. None of these personal development skills are taught through out school years. Which should start day one of our lives.

  • This is truly eye opening. I suffer from anxiety. Itry to avoid difficult assignments so that I can spend time leisurely with my family. But I was getting more anxious and depressed sure to that..

  • Guys, i’m so tired of my life, I can’t even remember how I was before… I’m a complete piece of shit, my parents are good, they do everything for me, but I can not live up to their expectations. I wish they had another child, who would be a normal person, not like me

  • Reminds me of a quote by Jonathan Safran Foer: “ You cannot protect yourself from sadness, without protecting yourself from happiness”

  • For those who watched this and don’t know what to do now. As she said, you have to get in the “arena and dare greatly”. I wouldn’t have put it that way myself, but whatever that means to you. Go to those dark hard emotions. For me I’ve dealt with emitophobia (fear of getting sick) for a good portion of my life. I learned this lesson on my own luckily, otherwise I’d be a hermit in the woods. To overcome your fears you have to face them. It’s the hardest thing I’ve ever done. It took constant work, every time I was afraid I did that thing anyways because I knew that just had to or I’d make things harder and harder on myself. That metaphor is interesting, as I avoided doing things that gave me anxiety my world got smaller and smaller. The things I was willing to do became less and less. But I realized that I couldn’t live like that. It was basically climbing Mt Everest for me. But I did it. It’s been work for over 15 years but the last five I’ve hardly had any anxiety. You just get used to being in the “arena”.

  • Cheers for the Video! Apologies for butting in, I am interested in your thoughts. Have you tried Trentvorty Kids Science Theorem (google it)? It is a good exclusive product for training your child for success minus the normal expense. Ive heard some super things about it and my good mate called Gray after many years got great results with it.

  • I have Avoidant Personality traits, after being accessed, by a psychiatrist, but I don’t feel inadequate, I have high self esteem. I really don’t like the assumption I’ve read almost everywhere. I do like certainty and I may take a long time before jumping into something. I feel it’s a very misunderstood condition.

  • I am Maninder Shah. God has put in my heart to make this video for people who are in depression and becoming suicidal these days.I share it with others so that it may reach someone needy and save his or her life. Please share it with others.

  • This was really enlightening and helpful. I really struggle with this in my life. All 3 of those scenarios are me. Especially the school work one. I enjoy the work in my field of study. I really do. But I’ve had this feeling deep inside that when I graduate in a few months I won’t have what it takes to go into work in my field. Computer Programming. So I kept finding myself gravitating to games on my phone, watching Netflix, and really just doing anything BUT doing my work. I had no idea why. I thought it was my OCD. That my “routines” were what was getting in the way. But I found myself developing newer and newer routines, routines that were taking more and more of my time. I just had an epiphany yesterday when researching why I felt so depressed. And realized that I was avoiding these feelings. And I think my OCD has been stepping in coming up with reasons to do anything other then my work. Because whenever I sit down and start studying, those feelings in inadequately would arise. And those feelings got worse and worse the more I avoided my work because my tasks/homework load kept building and building because I wasn’t doing them. The stronger the feeling of feeling of being inadequate the more I avoided… etc etc. it’s become this terrible cycle I haven’t been able to break. Now I at least know where to start.

    Thank you
