Chocolate equals love Speaking of love, the association might not be completely physiological. Women crave chocolate more often than men do. Women are also habitually given chocolate as birthday and Valentine’s Day presents. In our culture, chocolate is thought of as a.

It may seem simple we like chocolate because it tastes nice. But there’s more to it than that and it relates to a fat/carbohydrates balance that is. We love chocolate so much that we think eating it every day is not only acceptable, but a great idea. Chocolate makes us happy in so many ways, but it also does so much more. It can help calm us down, help us bond with people, and help us feel sophisticated (because yes, sometimes we need to create that illusion).

In our culture, chocolate is thought of as a romantic gift. It’s outside the realm of mundane, day-to-day food, reserved for special occasions–and, for women especially, it’s associated with love and romance. That could be another reason why women particularly love chocolate: deep down, it makes them feel loved, cared for, and pampered. 3.

While many plant-based foods can make you feel happy, Thirlwell tells Elite Daily that chocolate in particular promotes the brain chemistry of being in love. A: Chocolate lovers, rejoice but be savvy about chocolate’s health perks. Chocolate really can be good for you, but not all chocolate is created equally. If you’re after health benefits, forget. Chocolate Is a Stress Reliever.

PIN IT. Melissa Miller. Because dopamine is released into your brain when you eat chocolate, it can actually lower your levels of stress. This is why people often crave chocolate in stressful situations, or crave it when they are in need of comfort or reassurance.

It’s why there is a food holiday dedicated to this single cake January 27th, in case you want to celebrate with a chocolate cake, which you obviously should. And it’s why we wrote this food a love letter today (and not one for our spouses). Most people are extremely fond of, and crave chocolate for the simple reason that consuming it releases feel good chemicals (endorphins), dopamine and serotonin in the brain. This is what makes chocolate irresistible and gets you addicted to it.

  • I don’t know if this is true but I read a Nat Geo report that coca plants (The plants that make chocolate) are slowly running out and it’ll reach a peak by 2050.

  • So what you are saying is that my pleasure circuits are wonky since I can just keep eating tasty things (though I don’t generally eat things as fast as I can)

  • Depends what chocolate. Cadbury, Hershey’s and Mars comes with initial pleasure before the pain. Zachary’s and Palmer’s is always pain. Fool me once.

  • This episode is a great metaphor for what’s happening at the border. A few illegals asking for asylum is one thing, but once everyone in Central America and the World knows it might get you in…THEY COME HERE LIKE A FLOOD!
Then you have the Democrats criticizing ICE for not being able to catch up while doing nothing to slow it down…while encouraging that ILLEGALS SPEED UP and get here!
    Yo soy Latino…VIVA TRUMP!

  • The speed with which Lucy puts those candies down her blouse makes this even more funny than it already basically is for some reason. I guess because seeing her hand move so fast that it was a blur, there toward the end, is so unexpected; coupled with the fact that it is all so hilarious up to that point anyway, and then that speedy, superhuman arm motion kicked in. And her expressions. And the whole premise of it, and the sympathy the viewer feels for them both. This is one of the funniest scenes in the history of funny.

  • Marjorie is so beautiful. 50 looks good on her. Hope I age gracefully. Steve and Marjorie are so cute together. Do you speak your mind and have something to say? Go to my channel! Share your thoughts today!

  • Payed to eat chocolate. Sounds fun.

More seriously I have a really low tolerance to Chocolate, one or two squares and I’ve already had enough and the taste goes from sweet rich and delicious to sour and sticky.

  • Mmm, so glad I’ll be loving some sweet chocolate in a bit. I get what he’s saying about too much of it though, I get a headache when I’ve eaten too much. Chocolate digestives, literally I can only eat two and that’s it, they’re like my kryptonite.

  • My class loved figuring this out, but they respectfully disagree with the findings. They feel the third segment should be one candy less and the 4th segment should be one candy more.

  • Drake and Josh, Family Guy, and even MLP: Friendship is Magic is did scenarios similar to this.
“If I’m missing one I’ll re-edit this and fix it”

  • I love Steve and Marjorie together A Perfect Couple. I could never be a hater when seeing such true love and admiration for each other.

  • No one in their right mind can eat chocolate in moderation. Chocolate is to be devoured, with a smile. Of course if you want health benefits, only eat chocolate made from pure cacoa. This way you are getting the antioxidant benefits. The higher the number, the better. I usually eat 76. Over that number, it begins to taste like medicine.

  • The lady who played the forewoman was Elvia Allman.  She appeared on several Lucy series, notably in the Lucy-Desi Comedy Hour where Tallulah Bankhead appeared.

  • Eh, what does something related to THC have to do with addiction? It’s pretty well been documented and scientifically proven that THC isn’t addictive, but hey, don’t let the drug war propaganda stop you…

  • Hello, have you heard of Bellyfattack yet? Simply look on Google. On there you can find a useful free video presentation by an established medical doctor teaching on how you can get rid of extra fat. This made it possible for Bianca to reduce her abdominal fat. Perhaps it will work for you too…

  • It would be a shame if you did not bulk up when these other people do it so easily with Atomic Fat Loss (search for it on google).

  • if you people are looking for to get ripped immediately without spending a single extra minute in the gym, then you have to check out this video tutorial SIXPP.COM…if I were to ever have enough material or the philosophical mind to write a book about what a good life ought to be, my thesis would be simply this: A good life is one that has managed to turn

  • This is awesome. This is iconic because at this point no one knew women could be funny. No one knew women could ne cheeky and throw chocolate down their shirt for a laugh. Lucy was WAY ahead of the game. Kudos to her and Vivian for being pioneers.

  • We love Lucy and we love Ethel. We Baby Boomers really love Elvia Alman, the excellent actress who was a fixture in many 1950s and 1960s sitcoms. She really knows how to yell to spped up that assembly line!

  • GOD, what unhappy PEOPLE. The internet has 1) allow some of us to always find happiness, positive and GOOD while still others find the internet 2) a place to find something negative and divisive to say about HUMOR. JUST LAUGH FOR 1 MINUTE IT WILL ADD VALUE TO YOUR FACE. EQUANIMOUS GRATITUDE,

  • Or you could use coco powder and forgo the sugar, fat, and additives of a chocolate bar.

Make your foods taste like chocolate without the guilty. I’ve cooked with it quit often and used things like bananas to sweeten the dish.

(Of course that means to find coco powder without additives as well.)

  • Especially considering that most of us (those with any ancestry other than those originating in South America) have only been recently exposed to this derivative from the cacao plant…

  • This is definitely one of the best videos.I don’t know how many times they had to this skit to get it right. But I know I would never want to see another CHOCOLATE ever again.

  • eating candy while watching this, and trying not to choke on my 100 grand bar from laughing so hard. I Lucy was/is such a a kick!

  • THC makes u high there no THC in chocolate cause some people are allergic to THC and would get sick and THC isn’t addicting ur wrong

  • The part at 2:50 just kills me everytime with her mouth completely full and throwing handfuls of chocolates into her blouse. She was the best!

  • Hey, have you considered ” BellyFATtack “? Just look on Google. On there you will discover a good free video by a respected medical doctor revealing how to get rid of extra fat. It made it possible for Andrew to reduce his stomach fat. I will probably give it a try. It may help you out as well.

  • This scene actually wasn’t stolen from Drake and Josh, its just that the scenario is quite common on tv shows.  The main actress, “Lucy” or Lucille Ball, was born in 1911 and the last espisode was filmed live on April 4, 1957.  So this scene was created and filmed between 1911 and 1957 (before “Drake and Josh” were even thought of as a show.  Lucille Ball’s career ended in the Red Scare because her name was on the blacklist, so case in point: this scene wasn’t stolen from Drake and Josh.

  • Before me and my husband got married we had this great sex life that i enjoyed every time we made love and this was one of the many million reasons why i loved him. This great sex life was soon taken away from us when the embarrassing problem of weak erection and premature ejaculation came in, and due to this reason i was unable to conceive for 3 yrs after marriage because my husband was temporarily impotent and his sex drive and performance was affected by this problems. Over the years we tried a lot of drugs but to no avail, and i told myself that i can no longer bear the pain. I was very lucky to come across a post and how several people were cured permanently from ED, i had no much option and i contacted Dr Moses buba  and that was one of the best decisions i have ever made in life and that was all. We received the medication and since then the great sex life is back in my husband, we have 1 kids and we are so happy. For any related problem just contact him on ([email protected] or what-app him on +2349060529305 or call me direct for more info about moses buba  +15019914802

  • This clip, to ME has become the greatest METAPHOR for what American Life has become.  Speed up the TREADMILL and Stuff your FACE.  This is what it has come down to. BB

  • She may have changed him but he is not her husband, this is not ordained or under God’s covenant! no matter how we feel, what we think it’s by man the marriage exist not by God, to lay with another woman’s husband brings forth death! she is bringing a curse over her head as well as her family, she may talk good even look nice but God knows our hearts and holy spirit will not dwell in anything that’s uncleaned play with God all you want but watch what’s to come if you don’t riģht your wrongs, devil came to kill, steal and destroy! watch the price you pay for eating out of his hands! and I’m not joking, repeat and turn from your evil and wicked ways

  • ever since i switched to the 85% cocoa chocolate, i can’t stand the regular chocolate bars/milk chocolate. it also smells so good.

  • I love them together but Marjorie just didn’t seem as into him as he is into her in that clip. I get class, but still…something wasn’t apparent there. Love them together, though.

  • I must say I was never a big Steve Harvey fan before. But now he is one of my favorites. Marjorie has really changed him for the better and he just has a light about him now. He’s not as cocky and rude as was before. These two are perfect together
