According to the results of an extensive academic literature review conducted in Denmark (where residents down an average of 1.46 cups of coffee daily) “No association was found between coffee/caffeine consumption and outcomes of fertility treatment,” disproving the myth that even one coffee a day causes problems with IVF treatments. The perks of giving up coffee: caffeine and fertility treatment Caffeine stimulates the nervous system, which is why so many people reach for a cup of joe first thing in the morning. But, it also causes an increase in heart rate and blood pressure, and can affect metabolism and increase urine output. Caffeine & Infertility: The Link Between Coffee and Delayed Fertility While large amounts of caffeine (categorized as more than two cups of coffee a day) are clearly linked to reduced fertility, especially in cases of tubal disease and endometriosis, as little as as one cup of coffee a day is linked to increases in cycles until conception.

These things are well known, but does coffee affect your fertility? Yes, there are some women who conceive while drinking multiple cups of coffee a day. Yes, there are women who drink it during their entire pregnancy. But remember that each of our bodies is so very different and what affects one woman will have no effect on the other.

This is because coffee is one of the most common sources of caffeine in our diet and there is a link between caffeine and fertility. We’ll look at that link between coffee and fertility and what you can do to reduce or eliminate coffee from your diet for the sake of your fertility. Consuming caffeine can actually reduce your risks of becoming pregnant.

One study showed that drinking more than one cup of coffee per day can reduce your chances of conception by half. In 2011 researchers from the from the University of Nevada did a study on mice, fertility, and caffeine. What they found was that caffeine impedes the growth of specialized cells in the muscular walls of the fallopian. Could the caffeine in your morning cup of coffee affect your fertility? As long as you’re not consuming high amounts, it’s unlikely to harm your chances of getting pregnant.

1 However, you still might want to consider limiting your overall intake. A morning cup of coffee or tea is. Consider this as you cradle your extra-large coffee and glazed donut this morning during your white-knuckle commute to work.

Effects on brain function and mood. The elevated blood sugar and insulin don’t just stop at inflammation. They can create imbalances in the neurotransmitters serotonin, dopamine and GABA, which can lead to sub-clinical.

My RE says to stop as soon as you start meds and to stay off until the bfn or after pregnancy. He’s not into a lot of the don’t eat this or that aside from all pregnancy related items for illness reasons but he said they have found that caffeine can mess with the absorption rate of meds and forming of the lining so he looks at it as if you’re spending all this time and money to do this why. Dr.

Herbert says: “More than 4-6 cups of coffee a day has a higher risk of miscarriages associated with it, although its direct effect with fertility is unknown. They can drink decaf coffee, which is better, but if they are going to drink caffeinated coffee in the morning, they should have food in their stomach.”.

  • I’ve already lowered my caffeine intake. I find it difficult thought to stay away from it. one of the only drinks besides water i can have is soda, my favorite being coke. One of the only teas i can have is peppermint tea, as it is one of the only teas readily available in my area that doesn’t have chamomile, lemongrass, or echinacea in it. What would you recommend for how to cut soda/caffeine drinks out when they are cold?

  • Is that normal to happen.. I had regular period when I first got my period as a young 13years old girl however after I turned 16 my period started being irregular and been since the end of January of this year(2020) I started a diet because I watch a woman on here (YouTube)and she was saying that she got her period to regulate in a month by doing a really strict Deit and I did for 2 month and I got my period and still get it like how I use to get it as a young girl. But something different happened this last month (Mach 2020) I got a second period and i had it for 7 days which is a regular period but I just had it 10 day before it came again.. I told my doctor but she has called me back yet if a should be worried or anything… what should I do (I just finished today ).

  • Great video. Question, can Pap smears cause miscarriages too? I had a Pap smear the week 6, the same week my baby stopped growing. Just wondering if it is fine to skip whenever I’m pregnant again

  • Thank you for your videos!!!! You are amazing! I have an adrenal/thyroid related question: I was taking ashwagandha for subclinical hypothyroidism and adrenal support and it helped me a lot the only thing that did!!! I just found out I’m pregnant, should I continue with it?

  • Thank you so much for the work you’ve been doing! Would be great to hear some advice about high prolactin level. I’ve found out recently due to a blood test that my hormones are doing well except prolactin which is 2 times higher than is acceptable. I have heard that for conceiving its better to have as low prolactin as possible (among the borders of the norm). Since we’ve been trying to concieve for a year without any result yet i suppose it could have something to do with my prolactin level…

  • Not sure if this is an obvious question but what about if you quit caffeine and your body has a stress of quitting, including withdrawal symptoms, what part of the cycle is best to do this in to avoid issues?

My prenatal only has 2% daily value magnesium. Can I take extra magnesium safely, and if so, do you know of a reliable brand available in the US? Thank you.

  • I was told I have adrenal fatigue a few years back but never that it would affect my fertility and hormones. Just that it wasn’t good for me. Thank you for all your helpful info!! My chart is totally the Rocky Mountains. And my follicular phase temps are 95-96. I will definitely work on eliminating stress and getting this under control.

  • I met my Husband when i was 25, We both knew we wanted kids and we knew we needed to get started soon. So i decided to go for fertility test and get some basic testing done, when the result came out my report was totally discouraging, my doctor told me that probably my only chance to get pregnant was to use a donor egg. I was absolutely shocked, we hadn’t even started trying yet, and all of a sudden I was told that I had absolutely no chance of getting pregnant on my own, my head was full of terrifying thoughts like I wouldn’t ever be a mother etc. But luckily my beloved, i found dr ebhariagbe spell and herbs whose contact was shared on Fertility blog. He is in West Africa and the charges for the herbs was so sweet and more than acceptable for me, the herbs was sent to me in few days and i followed the simple steps and i was confirmed pregnant a month after using the medication. I want everyone desperately in need for a child to contact him on this info,WhatsApp contact number +2349064310416 or visit his Instagram page via @dr_ebhariagbe. I spent less money than planned, you gonna get the best from him. Thanks..

  • Thank you so so much for this video!! My temps are lower than 97.00 one month then the next month they go above 97.00 just to ovulate. You’re so helpful God has definitely blessed us with you!

  • Thank you for this video! I know I’ve suggested it a few times. You certainly have a pregnancy glow lately and it’s not just the combed hair!

  • I had 4 babies with a 10 day luteal phase and late ovulation….
I don’t know what I would have done without charting. One of my boys was conceived on cycle day 28.

  • How does this change if you already have hypothyroidism? I was diagnosed when I was a child, so it’s something I’ve been on medication for for most of my life. It seems well controlled now but i’m not sure if that means I am more likely to develop this issue. This past month my temperatures were all over the place last month (not normal for me) and we did have quite a bit of stress early in the month. Am I more likely to develop this if I am already hypothyroid but controlled?

  • I am 33 (hubby is 49) and ttc. I find your content to be the most informative and ive been binge watching your channel! Please keep the amazing content coming! ❤️ you are an angel!

  • Love love love your videos! I have learnt so much more than from other research and from what I already knew about health and wellbeing. My calc fluor has arrived today and I’m now charting too! I’ve been having acupuncture and kinesiology for fertility and have been trying to conceive for a year now (with a history of endometriosis) and the issue that keeps coming up is suppressed emotion, but I’m just not sure how to release it as its linked to frustration with the women in my family. Thank you so much for taking the time to make these videos, I’ve watched so many of them now and they’ve stopped me getting upset and frustrated in the TWW. A quick questionshould the men be taking calc fluor and cutting out caffeine too? My hubby is also having fertility acupuncture, but isn’t being good at cutting out caffeine or drinking water x

  • I had over double the high normal DHEA-S level on my last blood work. They said it had to do with my adrenal glands, and not to take any vitamins or supplements until my next blood test. Do you have any info/advice for me on why this could be happening? All my other blood work was normal.

  • I just went to the ob today, then the doc. told me i have pcos,,but why my other ob doc told me nothing about it,iwant last January..

  • The way you speak and always putting smile on your face is also helpful for forgetting the negativity from mind and make the mood good.
    God bless you

  • Wow. I’m learning so much on how everything works. You’re amazing. Thank you so much for taking the time and explaining. I love your calm nature and how you explain ❤️

  • Not only physical health affects the fertility. It’s good to know that emotions should be observed/controlled too.

I’m interested about your thoughts on these topics:
    1. Sonohysterogram; and
    2. Increasing chances to have a baby girl/boy.

Surely, I would love to watch your video on these matter. Because I love the way you explain things and your English accent is very understandable. I’m an Asian, Filipino specifically, but I easily comprehend your discussions. You are so articulate!

How I wish to have an ob-gyn as good as you. Thank you! You’re such a great help as always! God bless you & your family!

  • I have non classical adrenal hyperplasia (was on steroids about 10 years ago when first diagnosed and then stopped per the doctor). How does adrenal hyperplasia affect fertility? THANK YOU!!

  • I stopped caffeine for the first month which coincide with my first cycle day. I have PCOS and have seen a huge improvement on my LH levels!!! I was having 2/3 coffees a day so is not easy but really this is the best advice I´ve received so far!!!!! My LH test are looking quite “normal” with only one peak during the month with a clearly marked ovulation peak! Feeling very possitive about it!:)
However, my breast are reallly bloated now (since 28 DPO) eventhough normally I get bloated breast on 42 DPO as my cycles are of aprox 47 days. Do you think this means my cycle is going to be shorter? Or could this be a side effect from the pre-natal vitamine that I´m taking??? Honestly I´m really lost with my breast…
