TUESDAY, Aug. 28, 2018 For years, nutritionists have warned Americans to minimize dairy in their diets, especially high-fat dairy products. But new research involving 24,000 U.S. adults suggests milk and milk-derived products don’t pose the dire health risks suggested by prior research, and maybe those old warnings should be relaxed. Due to often high levels of saturated fat, dairy products have long been thought to raise the risk of an early death, particularly from heart disease, stroke and cancer. But findings on the connection have been inconsistent at best, Banach’s team noted.

A few factors emerge clearly, and perhaps of foremost interest to the consumer of dairy products is that despite enormous publicity regarding the avoidance of animal fat and concern over exogenous cholesterol (that which is obtained from food), heart disease has not been controlled by the avoidance of dairy foods.

  • The PURE study should have been called tge POOR study. All it showed was people that are not starving and have acces to a more varied diet, combined with acces to health care were healthier than poor people.

  • I personally think it’s funny how vegans feel they have the right to decide what’s ok to kill and what’s not. Do plants not need water, nutrients, oxygen, and sunshine to LIVE, just like animals? Are they not alive until someone cuts them or pulls them from the ground for the vegans to boil, or fry, or bake, and cut and chew into bits? It’s been proven that a plant actually has feelings. So next time you vegans/vegetarians are cooking up or chewing up your plants, remember, they were once alive too, until YOU chewed them to bits.

  • Mr. Shawn. That’s not what the article said. I like the carnivore diet but let’s be honest about what was published.:( You are not helping the carnivore community or those who have genuine interest in learning.

  • Is dairy really that necessary? I heard that oat meal have more calcium than most dairy milks out there and I wondered if that’s right?

  • What a fucking pill pusher. “Go to the drugstore and get you a little bottle of vitamin D3″…and… “You don’t need to ingest this unnatural compound just because they poured something in it” Which is it then? And imagine recommending questionable supplements over the best food source of vitamin D there is, fatty fish.

  • Do you know about the benefits of hibiscus tea on blood pressure? This is a safe, easy to use herbal medicine that isn’t usually thought of as a supplement, but rather as one of your personal herbal home remedies. Hibiscus can be found in soft gel capsules and as hibiscus extract too, but it’s usually taken by making hibiscus tea and drinking it. You can of course buy hibiscus tea bags in the store, but you’ll get a lot more hibiscus tea benefits by learning how to make hibiscus tea properly from the dried flowers. https://youtu.be/sW0oK6ESESY

  • How to kill a Vegan: Explain how no plant would grow without soil created by dead animal and pollination by live animal. Plants are animal products.

  • Dairy is a very broad subject, when milk is fermented ie Kefir it has very different characteristics. And I will continue to make and drink it.

  • I wrote an animal rights song and included what happens in the dairy industry. It would be amazing if you could give it a listen https://youtu.be/rry1QyII9iY

  • My uncle has been on the diet for 8 months and recently passed away from a massive heart attack. His arteries were so clogged with fat, there should be a law suit for following promoters of this dangerous diet.

  • New study out showing just 1 glass a day increases breast cancer risks by 50%

  • I dunno about institutional racism but I definitely believe Europeans spearheaded our toxic “western” military industrial complex paradigm. Yeah white people were the problem but the lines are pretty blurry these days pal. It takes two to tango, can’t take advantage of a population without their consent most times. We built this.

  • From one extreme to another. Both soyboys and meat deepthroater looked fucked. Im all for health and neither side does it for me. Im somewhere in the golden middle. Svringe is slow as fuck, mentally clogged. Meaties are sickly and vegans are deprived. Snap out of it you imbeciles. Processed man-made shit is the true villain. The enemy of my enemy is my friend

  • I’ve been taking dairy for granted for so long. Pancakes, waffles, french toast, and so many other things have milk and I don’t even think twice about it. It’s good to know the goods and bads. I’m just glad I’m not lactose intolerant.

  • Sorry buddy but I’m a big meat eater too but I know eating meat is bad for you. We were not designed to be meat eaters. That’s a fact.

  • Just one more thing to add here: it is UVB in sunlight that makes our body produce vitamin D, and UVB causes skin damage that leads to aging and cancer. For other sources, vitamin D is sufficient in fish, mushrooms, etc.

  • great information Anthony:) My son i thought is lactose intolerance but luckily not, its just too much consuming dairy products is not good especially sugary

  • It makes no sense that people would NEED to drink milk. The same goes for eating eggs. Why would humans eat another animals unborn fetuses? That’s just insane to me. Like everyone else, I have eaten eggs and drank milk all my life; however, I’m beginning to ask myself that all important question…Why??

  • Can’t wait for vegan gains new video where he pouts and shouts acts like a scientist and shows you a study from 1978 that says meat is literally cancer lmao

  • Meat, eggs, and dairy are low in vitamins and minerals, while raw fruits and vegetables and herbs are high in vitamins and minerals… carnivore diets may have less inflammation but eating only meat and dairy and eggs can lead to malnutrition in the long run..

  • If what your saying is true why are your results based on what you said during joe rogan show that you have testosterone of an 80 year old man. Why are you pre-diabetic. you are a fool. You think that all vegans just eat processed food, well you are wrong. If you eat fruits and veggies and grains that are unrefined then you are on the right track. Go and look at feed lots and the condition of that meat your eating. Look up how they feed them. Shawn baker is a dope. Keep eating just meat and see what happens.

  • I notice a lot of people keep on speaking about Custokebon Secrets. But Im uncertain if it is good. Have you ever tried using this popular fat burn diet plan?

  • Why do you suggest to limit dairy? I’ve started drinking 450-600ml heavy cream daily to increase good fats. Is this not good? If so then why? Is there a recommended daily / weekly maximum?

  • How in the hell did you interpret the study to say meat and dairy protects? It is already a known fact that people do not consume enough fruits and vegetables. What the study says is that eat more fruits and vegetables and you lower the rate of cardiovascular events. People are already eating enough meat and dairy, but replace it with vegetables instead.

  • This specific cholesterol guide “Hοzantο Axy” (Google it) isn`t just top quality medication however very affordable also. Because of the tips of my medical doctor, I followed this particular guide and so I can get my blood cholesterol level to go down. I notice effects in 14 days merely. NO doubt, this helps a whole lot! I experienced less pain and also became a lot more lively day-to-day! The results of my check-ups proved that I am improving..

  • Meatless vs Meatfree. Two extremes that both claim to have the answers. They can’t both be right. The answer is somewhere in the middle. 10% meat as said in this video is a good starting point. But after that, what next?, piscatarian? paleo? (whatever the hell that is) Full vegan? I don’t know how to separate the legitimate science from the bunkum preached in the hipster diets. My own thoughts are moderation in everything and as little pre-processed food as possible.

  • And the lies they tell through your eye view from tel-lie -vision I remember the commercials when they used to tell us milk does a body good pass it on cause it promoted strong bones and etc ; As a kid you are not aware of these dangers.

  • Phew, I’ve never been a big consumer of dairy and after watching your video thank goodness lol. I had no idea about these studies and diseases that can be associated with it, definitely gonna share this with some of my family that consume a lot of dairy. Thanks for the info!

  • I am vegetarian but I eat dairy. Looks like I need to back off a bit. I am down the gym 6 times a week doing metabolic compound training. Also I eat low carb, so I need to find some alternatives to get some nutrition intake. Am 50 years old, 1m77 tall and 66kg. Ripped…

  • I’ve been morbidly obese for most of my life and now that I’ve listened to Dr. Mills and Dr. McDougall and applied the lifestyle the weight falls off and by the grace of God I feel great.
    Thank you Jesus!!!!!

  • Done some digging n seen papers. YOUR PURE STUDY WAS FUNDED BY THE HEART N STROKE FOUNDATION N DRUG COMPANIES N THE DAIRY FARMERS OF CANADA. THEY WANT YOU SICK BUB. LOL. They want you to buy there junk. See how the study was TWISTED TOO. See Dr Mcdougall vids on the pure study. Also Mic Low Fat Diets Could Kill You. Pure Study Or Poor Study? Youtube

  • I like your videos, full of good information. I would like to see a video on your thoughts on juicing. I have seen videos on the pros and cons of juicing, but I would like to hear your personal opinion.

  • This is a really good video, We tracked down an article about Cardiologists Reveal 5 Foods That Harm Heart Health let’s see https://www.girlandpower.com/cardiologists-reveal-5-foods-that-harm-heart-health-and-4-that-help-it/

  • So because of Western doctor is telling you this now it’s true LOL Eastern medicine doctors have been saying this for centuries but they were called quacks and now because it’s going into mainstream Western medicine it’s not a quack it’s true LOL but those of us who practice on ourselves natural medicines instead of pharmaceuticals we already knew that

  • Meat and dairy protect from mental issues as well!you also mention in other video that the reason you shit once a week is that most of it get absorbed in small intestines so the question is,how much you would have to weight after 2 years on your diet,2000 pounds, more?

  • Regarding rabbits and lettuce, whenever I used to put lettuce in the backyard, the rabbits, the birds, none of the wildlife touched it.

  • Hi there, have you considered Custokebon Secrets yet? Just simply do a search engine search. On there you will discover that a great suggestions about how you can lost a ton of weight. Why not give it a shot? maybe it’s going to work for you too.

  • Milk and milk products suitable for northern and central Europeans only. Diet that contains milk and its products is toxic and causes diseases for people of African and Asian origin.

  • So as to boost the presence of my “good” cholesterol and lessen the “bad” cholesterol I have, I tried employing this specific cholesterol procedure “Hοzantο Axy” (Google it). I have no clue whether it`s done yet; I never have had virtually any new blood check-up ever since I started off taking it. Therefore i`m pretty thrilled for a month ahead so I can have my cholesterol tested. Based upon every little thing I have read through, this should assist..

  • Is there a way to know if the Greek Yogurt we buy at the store is A2 cow? Because I eat a 32oz tub of it every day for a couple reasons. #1 Its a way for me to keep my weight up. #2 Its a good source of protein for me…. and last #3 it really helps me with digestion. I get heart burn pretty easily when I eat vegies and stuff, so having yogurt really helps with that

  • Hello! Thanks a lot for this useful video. By the way, I notice many people keep on talking about Custokebon Secrets (google search it), but I’m not sure if it is really good. Have you ever tried Custokebon Secrets? I have heard many incredible things about it and my cooworker lost crazy amounts of weight with it, but she refuses to tell me:(

  • I would like to share something I learned from my carnivore experience so that maybe it can help someone else out. I went carnivore to heal digestion and it did do that, but a problem I ran into was a mineral deficiency. The mineral that got deficient was potassium. This may have happened because my digestive track is so damaged that I could not properly absorb the minerals from the meat. However I did find a fix with only a slight modification to the diet. Instead of drinking water, I now drink pulp free orange juice. My energy is back, the muscle weakness is gone and I am still getting all the benefits of the carnivore diet without feeling like crap. Yes, orange juice is not Keto, but keto is not the goal of the carnivore diet, health is.

  • Dont think its racism, more so milk industry just pushed for people to drink their product and pay for ads and get into school systems and put them selves on the food pyramids etc, just to make money.
But other than that this was really good

  • As expert, I’m sure Custokebon Secrets is actually good way to lost crazy amounts of weight. Why not give it a shot? perhaps it’s going to work for you too.

  • I quit most dairy about a year ago. It used to give me a lot of stomach issues, but now days I feel WAY better and have no desire to go back to it

  • Vegan folk have severe mental problems. This one thinks man is a fruit eater and should eat nothin’ but fruit. He looks decayed, near death

Dr Baker you keep spreadin’ the word of truth you handsome well built devil.

  • TODAY’s Dairy is dangerous. Wayyyyy BACK’s dairy was probably ok…….not loaded with all the chemicals, hormones and antibiotics…… And if you’re immunity is good, dairy probably wont harm you. However if you’re Immunocompromised, dairy can KILL you as it feeds dangerous Microorganisms that’s ALREADY having the upperhand in your Microbiome…… I say this BECAUSE…..If you’re gonna dig MUCH deeper to try and find fault with DAIRY, you’re gonna find stuff that we can call ‘CYTOTOXIC’, and the reality is that there are also MANY or countless plant-based foods, herbs, spices and vegetables and even grains that are also ‘CYTOTOXIC’ to a certain extent……. So HOW deep do you want to look? It appears that there’s ‘something bad’ in almost anything….
But, as I said there’s enough evidence that shows that TODAY’S dairy IS BAD NEWS……..and if you’re already Immuno compromised, DAIRY is also MORE bad for YOU, but maybe not as bad for someone who’s NOT immuno compromised……
I would not reccommend anyone to consume dairy unless they’re in fantastic shape, and preferably from ORGANIC grass fed sources and in very moderate amounts.
    * You see, Back in the old days, Milk came STRAIGHT from the cow’s ‘CHURCH BELLS!’ (JOKE)
It was…UNPASTURISED…….This means that the milk was Organic, undiluted and contained many BENEFICIAL bacteria that were ANTI-FUNGAL and ANTI-Bacterial and ANTI-VIRAL. So Unpasturised milk came WITH a layer of PROTECTION!
Smart humans as we are, we went and pasturised ALL commercial MIlk products, and GONE with it it’s NATURAL PROTECTION! MILK, ended up being sold as ‘Diluted Protein water with LACTOSE Sugar’ (without it’s LActase enzymes because it was cooked!) And without the enzymes it’s also harder to DIGEST!
Tis ‘NEW Milk Product’, loaded with LACTOSE SUGAR is FANTASTIC fuel for FUNGAL, YEAST and Parasitic infections…… This is why any Chronically ill patient should avoid ALL forms of Dairy, except for Live PLain Yogurt.
    Bless you….

  • Whoa, I love milk products and I am lucky not to have any allergy from milk. Have to be careful not to consume milk from A1 cows.
