TUESDAY, Sept. 12, 2017 (HealthDay News)—Children may have a more difficult time coping with the devastating hurricanes that have recently hit the United States, an expert says. “Compared to adults, children suffer more from exposure to disasters, including psychological, behavioral, and physical problems, as well as difficulties learning in school,”. When Hurricane Harvey hit, it affected more than five Texas children’s hospitals. Hurricane Irma could move toward the Florida Keys and as far north as Cape Hatteras, North Carolina, potentially putting more than 20 children’s hospitals in the path of the storm or at risk of damage from tropical force winds. The closures affect hundreds of thousands of students. especially negative impact on children.

Tropical storm Harvey has put students in its path at a found children affected by Hurricane. Harvey and Irma While we have low confidence in the effect of human-caused climate change on hurricane formation, it is clear that climate change is enhancing some of the impacts of these storms. The 2017 hurricane season was among the most destructive in history, with Harvey, Irma, and Maria affecting Florida, Texas, Puerto Rico, and the U.S. Virgin Islands.

The extent of service interruption and damage to property as a consequence of these hurricanes varies dramatically. Hurricane Harvey made landfall in Texas as a Category 4 storm on 25 August, and since then, two other major hurricanes (Irma and Maria) and a sequence of earthquakes have dealt their destruction. In the aftermath of these disasters, Hotel News Now’s editorial staff reached out to hoteliers with properties in the affected regions to gauge the.

Hurricanes Harvey, Irma and Jose were no exceptions. The southern-eastern Texas coast, where Harvey stuck, is a major oil hub filled with ports, terminals and refineries. Particularly, Houston, Texas city and Baytown regions have eleven refineries that together manage 2.7 million barrels of oil a day, or about 14% of the nation’s refining capacity. The aftermath of hurricanes Irma and Harvey underscore the need for health care facilities to plan for the worst. How can a natural disaster affect a hospital’s ability to offer care? mental health issues, older individuals, children, pregnant women — are generally more challenged.

More and more preparedness approaches are taking.

  • GOD BLESS MS. JONI EAREKSON! She is a VALIANT ADVOCATE for the Disabled, & a FAITHFUL CHRISTIAN despite her personal suffering! May Our Lord Jesus Christ fully restore her upon HIS GLORIOUS RETURN!

  • All adsense I make from this will be donated to red cross efforts. The hurricanes may be gone but the victims are still around and suffering. Any donations to either effort is always helpful.

  • It’s not every six hours it’s every six years Harvey is going to come to us again in 2023 this time before the solar eclipse takes place across the U.S. on April 8,2024th the lunar eclipse is going happen this year on January 31,2018

  • 83 deaths it’s the end of the world in the Usa! Hahahah I hope there will have more hurricanes on them, more deaths, more damages, more funny

  • I have lots of family, both immediate and extended, in Texas.  One of my mom’s cousins lives in the Houston area but told us relatively early on that they were safe (I don’t know if they evacuated before Harvey made landfall.)  My uncle is a Lutheran minister in San Antonio (which is further inland and thus was spared most of the damage), and his church is raising money for relief efforts down there-I gave $25 recently toward it.  Some of my other immediate family also donated to the Red Cross.

I also have extended family in Florida, although I don’t know how many of them were in the path of Hurricane Irma.  I haven’t donated to anything for that yet, but will think about it.

  • The main problem is global warming. And according to my regard, oxygen is decreasing and CO2 is increasing. And also awareness or idea of planting trees in america were totally blank.so,please planting trees and making awareness of planting trees in america and other corner in the world should be begin if u want to survive the world and you want to stop earthquake and storm.

  • Good thing I have Spanish armour in case the next hurricane breaks into my room. Hopefully no lightning will make me take it off. Then again, I’d die either way. Damn it. Oh well… if DEUS VULT.

  • Your money would go to better use with a charity like the Salvation Army. The Red Cross pockets most of the money from donations and only gives 8% of the revenue to actual relief, not to mention how they did in Haiti.

  • Focus on the devastation the hurricanes caused that’d be to humane instead let’s screech climate change and get the weather political

  • Do a History of the Balkans: Every Year (Slovenia, Hungary, Romania and Moldavia at the top, Greece at the bottom and everything inbetween). Also showing captured territory would be cool.
