Geneticists Get to the Roots of Hair Loss in Men Researchers spot close to 300 genetic regions linked to baldness, which could provide targets for treatment From the WebMD Archives. In this study, the research team analyzed genetic data from more than 52,000 men and pinpointed 287 genetic regions linked to severe hair loss. Many of the identified genes are associated with hair structure and development.

The genes could provide targets for the development of drugs to treat baldness some day, the researchers said. Many of the identified genes are associated with hair structure and development. A. This type of hair loss occurs (in both men and women) when the hair follicle shrinks so much over time that it doesn’t grow new hair. Because these practices can actually affect the hair root.

Male pattern baldness is androgen-dependent, since it does not occur in castrates, unless they are given testosterone (Hamilton 1942), nor in XY individuals with androgen insensitivity due to non-functional androgen receptors (Hiort this volume, Chapter 3).

Although hair cannot be restored to the same thickness of hair that existed before the onset of androgenetic alopecia, drugs such as Finasteride may ameliorate the symptoms by competitively inhibiting 5α-reductase, precluding testosterone’s conversion to DHT.

  • If you have serious HAIR LOSS and are tired of the OLD and FAILED ideas…I urge you to go to http://www.BornAgainHair.com to learn about a totally NEW proven science which for the FIRST time in history explains the truth about the HAIR LOSS syndrome and how to treat it using NO DRUGS, NO LOTIONS and NO SURGERY.

This NEW theory and science explains that all the OLD systems have FAILED because they FOCUS only on DHT. It identifies the true MAIN cause of HAIR LOSS and says DHT is only a « secondary » factor which becomes bad for your hair ONLY when the MAIN cause is not FIRST corrected. It is EASY to understand and very, very simple to use.

Do not waste any more time or money on the OLD ideas which have all FAILED. This NEW method is so logical that it is the big « BUZZ » on all the world’s HAIR LOSS forums. There are already more than 23,000 people on this method all over the world with a success rate of over 95%. It is a ONE time cost and the LEAST EXPENSIVE system available. More importantly, everyone using it says it REALLY WORKS.

Check out the very amateur and ACADEMIC website at http://www.BornAgainHair.com and do what it says…you will not be disappointed again.

  • I tried for years to regrow my thinning hair, and nothing really worked until I tried this product called anagain. Its super easy to use, very affordable, and works pretty fast. It’s free to try for 60 days if anyone is interested. http://www.Anagainhair.com

  • Conventional medicine has FAILED to solve HAIR LOSS because it has focused only on blocking DHT. I cured my HAIR LOSS with a NEW method described at http://www.BornAgainHair.com. This theory explains in layman’s language why the MAIN cause of HAIR LOSS is not DHT but a reduction in the BLOOD FLOW to the scalp due to a tight lower scalp layer called the GALEA. The reduced blood flow causes an un-natural severe over-production of DHT and only then it becomes a “killer”. It shows you how to STOP hair loss by restoring proper blood flow in a surprising way which allows it to re-grow and how to revive even dormant follicles, which we were told is impossible, with an old device invented by the genius NIKOLA TESLA…NO DRUGS, NO LOTIONS and NO SURGERY.

Do not be distracted by the very amateur looking website. If you are tired of the OLD and FAILED ideas, check this out because there are over 27,000 people using this NEW science and it really works. It is EASY to understand and very, very simple to use and its main principles have been confirmed by three independent scientific studies. It is also the LEAST EXPENSIVE method available and it does really work…you will NOT be disappointed again.

  • OK I don’t exactly know what’s going on here, but I’d been studying hairloss for years, and there were all sorts of differing theories as to what causes it. I was reading about how the anti-hairloss drug Propecia prevents testosterone being converted into dihydrotestosterone the supposed hormone responsible for causing male pattern baldness. This hormone is also apparently related to the male sex drive.

So I started to recall during my teens and onwards how high my sex drive was; I’d masturbate constantly, and that’s when my hairline began to recede. So, I decided to give up masturbating to see if this would make any difference, and did this for several months, then, one day when I looked in the mirror, I noticed small blonde hairs starting to grow back! Over time these hairs became darker and thicker, then even more small blonde hairs started to grow back, and, again, they grew thicker and darker.

I’m not entirely sure what’s going on here, but here’s a few theories which may explain how my hair is regrowing:

    1) I discovered that cells cannot go through cell division when they are heated beyond 40C. Everytime we masturbate, the blood becomes super heated because of dihydrotesosterone. It is a very powerful metabolite, said to be 5 to 10 times more potent than testosterone. As you’re probably aware, 30 to 40% of body heat is lost through the head via small sweat glands attached to the hair follicle. They are called eccrine glands. So each time we masturbate, this red hot DHT blood travels to the scalp, and inflames the follicle, and causes cell division to come to a stand still (because cell division cannot occur beyond 40C). The cell then begins to shrink. This may also explain why hairloss is accelerated during prolonged periods of stress, because stress hormones are metabolites, which causes a rapid increase in blood temperature, and, like masturbating, this red hot blood travels to the scalp and inflames the hair follicles.

    2) Each time we masturbate, blood containing DHT, travels to the scalp, and gradually begins to clog up the capillaries connected to the hair follicle and it’s components. The hair follicle has many components, such as the eccrine glands, erector pilli muscle, sebaceous gland, etc. Like I mentioned before, the eccrine glands are responsible for releasing body heat from the scalp. When these glands become clogged with DHT, they cannot effectively release body heat, so this heat becomes trapped within the follicle and inflames it. Have you noticed that each time you’ve been losing your hair, that you’ve felt a prickly heat sensation in your scalp? This is because heat cannot escape, and thus inflammation occurs, and consequently, hairloss.

    3) Giving up masturbating, inhibits testosterone from being converted into DHT, and causes a rise in testosterone levels. Testosterone is responsible for protein synthesis, whereby it has an anabolic effect upon cells; the more tesosterone in the bloodstream, the more developed each cell of your body will be. So maybe extra testosterone assists in building stronger, healthier hair follicles? All I know is, not only is my hair regrowing, but I’m starting to become more masculine looking. My face and body muscles/ bone structure is noticably more defined, and my skin looks thicker and healthier than ever before.

There are more factors involved in the causes of baldness, but I’m living proof that giving up masturbating/sex causes your hair to start to regrow! I’m going to continue doing this until my hairline is fully restored to it’s original state.

  • I’m 15 and I’m losing some of my hair like I’m getting bald spots more than I should have and I’m scared can someone help me out, I’m going crazy!

  • I agree to the idea that Baldness isn’t inherited by your mom side. My mom’s brothers have full head of hair even they are already 50s.. And I am 22 and my hair was thinner than them.

  • I’m 15 and losing my hair at the front sides my brothers did at this age too but I think it’s because of too much testosterone as I grow a lot of facial hair
