Junk Food

THURSDAY, Nov. 2, 2017 (HealthDay News)—If cookies, pizza and potato chips seem to pull you in, you’re not alone. A new study finds that images of junk food are, indeed, more distracting than those of healthy food. The researchers also found, though, that just a few tastes of junk food can significantly reduce its appeal. “Junk food” generally refers to foods that contribute lots of calories but little nutritional value.

Of course, what’s considered “junk food” depends on whom you ask. Some might say pizza is junk. 10 reasons junk food is bad for your health 1. Junk food may be the reason behind your fatigue: Although junk food and fast food makes you feel full and satisfied, 2. Junks food may lead to depression in teenagers: A lot of hormonal changes take place in teenagers which makes them 3. It.

Junk food is something that falls into this category. This is why it is so important we see junk food for what it truly is – a slow killer and one that each of us can break free from if we choose to, leading to happier, less stressful lives and a better mental state all-around. Junk food is high on fats, added calories and chemicals. Most junk foods are low on minerals, vitamins and proteins. Various studies also.

One of the main reasons why junk food is so popular worldwide is that it’s cheap compared to fruits or vegetables. With a couple of dollars, you can get a full meal of junk foods, while healthier foods cost more. 2. It’s Easy. Junk food is everywhere, meaning that you can easily get a snack or a junk meal anyplace.

Why are junk foods bad for you? Frequent consumption of junk food increases the intake of excess fat, simple carbohydrates, and processed. Junk food is a favorite among kids and teens and is one of the major reasons for heart disease and obesity in today’s world. Companies are getting better at making junk food that is more addictive and even less healthy.

I saw something online that. A study published on PubMed.gov states that the consumption of junk food (such as fast food and processed treats) has a direct correlation with an individual developing depression. The major problem is not about eating junk food the problem is we are not able to burn those extra calories, which makes us fat and unhealthy.

So, my suggestion is that firstly don’t eat lot of junk food it has many after effects, sometimes it’s okay but many a times its harmful.

List of related literature:

This is especially true for the 15% of U.S. families whose incomes are so low that they risk going hungry (referred to as food insecurity) and tend to consume their daily calories from the least nutritious foods available (Seligman & Schillinger, 2010).

Because the quality of our food is directly connected to our mental and physiological health and to our quality of life, diminishing the quality of our food can make us sicker, weaker, and more distracted, violent, stressed, drugged, confused, and disempowered.

  • I’ve dipped carrots in caramel and chocolate….not something I would do all the time but it was kind of pleasant, I’d stick to hummus or another dip though lol

  • A) Calorie counts are wrong (Mac Donald nutritional charts lie)
    B) Unrealistic exercise comparisons. That is like showing how long you need to take for vacation if you were walking to places. Show running, biking, hiking, etc. Things people actually do for lengthy periods

  • As for the title: no it doesn’t. I can’t eat it, I don’t wanna smell it, and I certainly don’t wanna see anyone eating it. The smell and flavour are absolutely sickening to me.

But hey, perhaps I’m the exception.

Unless fast food also includes sushi and ramen. Then fast food is great again!

  • It doesn’t though… I find MacDonalds and the Burger King revolting:x Terrible burgers, and I feel terrible every so often when I eat one (because on the road it is the easiest to get). New York Pizza and Domino’s make horrible bland tasting pizza’s and Mexican take away food is pretty crappy as well:s
