Make Things Easier for Yourself If you’re starting out with a new fitness schedule it’s usually fairly easy to find the motivation to continue. 1. Enjoy what you’re doing—find fitness activities you like. The fact is many people don’t have the internal motivation to work out, and say they’d rather do something else. The trick is finding a “something else” that just happens to have fitness benefits.

2. There is no perfect way to reach your goal. At some point, you will miss a workout, or not stick to your diet for a day.

Be gentle with yourself. Because your next workout, your next meal, gives you another opportunity to stay committed to your why – stay committed to your goal. A few mantras to try: “You can do this”. “Just one leg in front of the other”. “Slow or fast, a mile is a mile”. “Train smart, train strong”.

Yes, they are all a little cheesy but repeating these positive quotes can help you reach your fitness goal, especially when you’re in a rut or lacking mental toughness. Motivation is a fickle thing. When it comes to exercise, finding the motivation to move your body can be tricky. It can come in bursts where you feel motivated to smash out your workouts to meet your fitness goals and quickly ebb into exercise feeling like a chore.

  • Don’t let failure bring you down, failure is an opportunity for us to grow and learn and become better at what we do ♡ keep trying and you’ll get there! Believe in yourself and your purpose

  • This was very encouraging. The last part especially spoke to me. Every second is an opportunity to wipe the slate clean. I don’t have to put myself down just because I didn’t do things perfectly or I didn’t fully commit to things before. Every moment is an opportunity to align myself with my goals. Also, having a game plan to navigate the harder moments when there is a lack of motivation is essential. Thank you for making this video!

  • Just purchased your e-book after watching this! I’ve been needing to switch up my routine for a minute (running can get very boring, very fast). I can tell these workouts are going to kick my ass haha

  • Just wanna say you motivate me! I’m so happy I found your channel.
My goal right now is to move my body every day. Whether that’s a workout, going for a walk outside, yoga, dance party in my kitchen. Anything!

  • Baby girl when I was your age I was thin. I was 112 at 31, then I had my son and weighed 120. Now at 53 I weigh 140. What I’m trying to tell you is to be happy with your body image. God made you the way you are. Weight WILL definitely come with age.☺ Now about that booty…..look at your shape and the older women in your family. If they don’t have one then you may not get one. If you don’t have a booty bump now, then you won’t have one later. It’s genetics. Exercise to be fit. God made you beautiful.☺ This is what I would tell my daughter if I had one. God bless you and take care sweetie.

  • I got the notification that you posted and i was like “I cannot watch it until i finish this homework” thanks for the motivation to get homework done!

  • Excellent video! We are in our 80’s and feel better than ever! Still work for a strong body and a calm mind. Doing some research for our tiny new healthy-aging advice channel. Learned a lot. Keep it going!

  • Ignore the haters! People are going to hate no matter what you do and what you look like. Keep doing you!! You are beautiful!!! ❤

  • hi, a little question, would it be a good idea to bring my dog with me when I’m doing long distance running? Or would that not be good.

  • Needed this!! With school starting, it’s been hard for me to find motivation for other things. I actually run barrels, which is the main reason I started my fitness journey, and I haven’t been keeping up with that like I should. You’ve lit a fire under my butt, and I’m here for it!! Your super inspiring in many aspects and I love it. Thank you sooo much for this!!♡♡

  • Okay but I had so much time during quarantine I was working out for 2 hours everyday and now I am so so busy I am only working out 2 times a week who else has the same problem by the way I love you Kylie you are such a big motivation to me

  • I LOVE THIS. I completely agree with striving for progress and to start out by just focusing on how to get motivated. I’m a few years into my fitness journey and now it’s so routine that it’s not hard to just get up and do. But when I started I would REALLY not want to a lot of the time. It changes over time for sure!

  • As a dancer, I SO recommend joining jazz or hip hop classes that you can go to a couple times a week. It’s super fun and it makes you SWEAT! Thanks for the motivation Kristina. Love and support always! <3 maddi

  • so I was eating aha and I was watching YouTube and came into this video and no lie I put down the fork and was like damn I need to get up and run but I was hungry af so I finished my food and finished the video as well haha

  • Thank you for this video I have been in a unmotivated rut for two years as someone who is experiencing burnout from taking classes all year long (spring, summer, fall semester) currently a senior in college and trying to get back into motivation

  • Your videos are always so closely related to how I’m feeling at the time that they come out! Appreciated this one definitely needed the boost

  • Hey does anyone else like not have any motivation (I mean duh that’s why you’re here) like ugh yeah whatever I can’t be bothered. Let let me selit down all day and go on my phone ‘motivated’. See none? Does anyone else feel this way? #lockdown2020

  • This is so inspiring and I can really put this into so many aspects of life. Cambria you honestly make me a better person and sometimes I think God is just talking through you. Thank you! <3

  • I just re-watched this video because it is so amazing! I think this is one of the best videos Cambria made. She is truly awesome!:)

  • So I just found you today and have been catching up on some of your videos and I really appreciated this one for where I am today. About a year ago I started getting serious about my health and fitness. I started running… counting calories and weighing weekly. I wasn’t overweight at all. I just gained about 20 over the last 18 years of being married so i decided to make a change. I’m still at it today but I find myself at times obsessing about it. I’m afraid to gain it back. But your video was such an encouragement. I was blessed by it. thank you for your words of encouragement and being used by God.

  • One of the biggest helps for me in keeping working out is doing “two things at once” while at the gym… meaning I listen to an audio book or read an ebook on my ipad while I’m on the elliptical or recumbent bike or treadmill. I find that helps a lot, because I don’t feel like I’m wasting time and I know I’m doing something good for my body.

AND It actually pushes me to go longer because if I’m nearly done a chapter, i’ll take the extra 5 minutes on the machine to read the rest of it!

Also I find joining the gym within walking distance of my home has helped. I can walk there in less than 5 minutes, workout, and walk home in less than 5 minutes so I can have a shower or bath in my own home.

For the past months and a half I have been working out 5 times a week, the last 2 weeks I’ve been at a gym. And I LOVE the gym, I used to hate gyms and they always had toxic environments (as in the people were toxic), but this new gym has been so great and lifts you up.

I even decided to start working on weight training for my upper body. And already I have gone up weight for my triceps! I’m only working on triceps and biceps right now, but that’s because I’ve never done weight training before, and soon I will be adding new muscle groups.

I am going to lose weight, and I am going to get healthier, and I’m going to lower my blood pressure, these are my goals.

  • Kristina, when you first went fully raw did you struggle to get enough volume of food in?(being a small person)
What steps did you take to increase or did you just start eating, for example, 10 peaches at one sitting?

    Thanks beautiful!:)

  • I love how realistic and understanding you are. This is what I needed to hear. I’ve been feeling very frustrated lately because I am not seeing the results I want to see and I get to a point where I just want to quit. I feel so guilty if I skip a workout or I do not follow my diet all the time. Thanks for sharing this with us Maryana!

  • THANK YOU SOOOOOO MUCH FOR THIS VIDEO!!! You have no idea how it has touched me. I have a busy life…2 boys 2 and 5, my husband travels (a lot) for work which leaves me home around the clock and I work. I’ve been needing this motivation to get my body back prior to pregnancy. Your words have inspired me to do everything you mentioned and to take the time to get there. I’ve been down on myself bc I feel like I didn’t have the time. But with this video I learned to take a step back to create my time when I can and to be ok with it. So THANK YOU AGAIN!!! Please make more videos like this! God bless your heart! ❤️

  • Thank you so much for this video, you have no idea how much I needed to hear this. I have struggled with my weight pretty much my whole life and losing weight has always been why I wanted to workout, so of course  I was always getting down on myself whenever I didn’t go to the gym everyday which resulted in eating more and gaining more weight. Watching this video and hearing you say all of those things really made me think about the reason as to why I want to start living a healthy lifestyle. It isn’t because I want a “perfect body,” but because I want to be healthy and happy with the life that I live. I absolutely love all of your videos and I am so happy that I found your account. You inspire me to become the best version of myself that I can be.

  • Dear Kristina! I have got loads of questions which I hope you will like!
First a funny one: do you know if eating fully raw will stop you from snoring?
What is your skin-care routine? (What do you do with your skin in the morning and/or evening? How do cleanse your face, what creams/oils do you apply on your face, how many times a day do you do that, what kind of make up from what brands do you use etc.)
This is a question I’ve been wondering for SO long! Do you drink tea!? If so, do you think boiled water is ok? Or if not, why not?
Do you know if eating fully raw will affect stretch marks positively (for example, make them less visible or even make them go away!?)
How did you manage to eat fully raw when you would stay over for dinner at a friend?
    How tall are you?
Do you have any tips on getting more energy (apart from eating more fully raw meals 😉 )?

And some more personal questions and of course it is up to you to decide if you will answer these questions:
If you were to have children, would you raise them fully raw vegan?
Should a man be a fully raw vegan in order for you to start a relationship with him? Put differently: could you possibly be with someone who is not fully raw vegan?
What is your opinion on party nights? Do you ever go out? Have you gone out much when you were younger? How did you do that with (not) drinking alcohol? Do you like clubbing etc.?

I’d love to hear your answer on these questions in some future videos Kristina! Love you, keep up the good work, and stay your beautiful, wonderful self because I really look forward to every single bubbly and sparkly video of yours! Love xxxx

  • The scale is a BIG thing!!! Got rid of mine last year. Also got rid of the big mirror in my bathroom.:D I swim, tried running but felt it was so hard on  my knees. You can also do workouts in the pool with pool weights that are also easy on your joints.

  • One thing that works in my favor is that I don’t have a sweet tooth. Unfortunately I love red meat. I could eat a steak Burrito every day.

  • I do wonder though, what do you do if you really need to focus on something you don’t only have 0 motivation to do but dislike doing?

  • So motivating, I love working out I have no issues working out I find saying no to comfort foods difficult I can’t find the balance

  • Girl from TX talking about running in the cold lmao.. it’s definitely like 70 degrees in TX in the winter.. try coming to the north East and you’ll get an idea of what cold is haha.. no offense though

  • you know what makes working out challenging? when you need $80 sports bras because of your size. sucks. but now i have 2 and i interchange them, and i workout every other day or every 2 days depending on the intensity of the workout i did.
lately I’ve been doing the Jillian Michaels workouts on youtube. they work really well for me since running would mean having to buy a jogging stroller to bring my toddler. i do love running though.

  • Yessss how tall are you, Kristina? We have the exact same body and hair. I’m 5’8″ but I can’t tell how tall you are. you’re so inspirational!!

  • haven’t weighed myself in years and it’s been one of the best things I’ve ever done! yes, it’s how you feeeeel not the number below. We’re all different!

  • Kristina, I love your videos. You look fine for your age. When people make comments about your wrinkles (crows feet) it is the sun that is the cause. I am of Irish/English descent where fair skin and red hair run in the family. I am 38 and HAVE to protect myself from the sun. You may want to look into this.

  • I am a night shift STNA. I eat a meal before I go to work at 6pm & I get off at 6am. I take things in my lunch box I snack on Bc I can’t really take a lunch. I bored eat SOOOOO bad. Can you give tips??

  • Am about to be 27 years and am 5 5. I workout 30 minutes 4 days a week, am trying to lose weight because I was 185 but now am 180. I try to lose 1lb a week and so far its working. My motivation is using the calendar. What I do is weight myself every Sunday and write down how much I weight. So now when I look at the calendar I can see how much I weight in the past week and now and it makes me want to continue to lose weight because I see progress. I also put a check mark on each day I workout so that I don’t forget how many days I workout. I don’t go to the gym I workout at home with different youtube videos like fitness blender ( but not only just fitness blender videos) I also don’t want to be too skinny so I use muscle videos as well and slimming workout videos.

  • you mentioned on snap that people were making negative comments in regards to your body. and I am literally blown away. your body is perfect. how can you even think something negative?????????? you look healthy and happy and that’s what matters!

  • Hi:)
I’m a PhD student… and is super normal for me to work 8h to 9h a day. After a long day, I just want to have a nice dinner and sleep xD

    Love your videos <3

  • I’m surprised you polish your finger nails.  Is this just traditional stuff or do you have some all natural stuff you use.  Your nails do look nice, just surprised you polish your nails but don’t use make-up.

  • Thank you, Thank YOU, Thank YOUUU! I planned the rest of my week to practice self love aka “Work out” and I let my fitness buddy at the gym know when I’ll be there. I will tell myself “I love you I’m doing this for you!”:-) thanks Chica

  • Kristina, I need this… like really need this. I haven’t worked out in 3 months and I truly want to finally reach my goals. It’s early… I’ll go for a hike, work a little, and then focus on putting it out on paper. It is a challenge to stay motivated. I don’t want to do it tomorrow, I want to do it today NO I will do it today!
