The fact is that companies can set the terms of employment much as they see fit. Can an employer take your cell phone from you? NO. but if you bring it to work, the employer ask for it, and you refuse, they may discipline.

If you were informed that you could not bring a cell phone to work, they can probably consider it a breach of employment agreement and terminate you or discipline you depending on their company policy. They cannot “take” it from you. You would have to voluntarily turn it over (which it sounds like you did).

It’s rude when other people want to use a machine and have to wait too long whilst someone finishes messing on facebook and whatever mundane crap they’re looking up. Plus, it decreases the intensity of your workout. If you feel the phone is so important, stay at home and let those of us who are serious about training get along with what we need to do.   • Normally when you change colour space in a photo editing program (I use Capture One) it will try its best to make the new photo look the same as the old. sRGB has a reasonable enough amount of colour that for a lot of practical images you don’t really notice it unless you look at the two images side by side.

    An advantage of sRGB for web images is because those 255 levels result in smaller gradations when the colour space is smaller. If you’re working in aRGB or proPhoto then it’s nicer to have 1024 gradations (professional monitors) or more. The camera would be shooting RAW images in either 12 or 14 bits per pixel (4096 or 16384 gradations) which give you much closer spaced colours and much less risk of blockynesss for fine tones like human skin.

  • Mobile phone in Biceps area is the worst idea.
    Means how?
    How will u train your shoulders/chest/triceps/biceps with that.
    I think this meant for perople doing treadmill or gym cycle only.
    Best way is to put your phone in your track suit upper pocket or lower/pant pocket.
    I prefer to use mp3/ipod meant for music only.
    And again….
    Never put your mobile in biceps area.

  • Lil tip for yall,, put a red colour filter on when in your bed at night, red carries the least amount of energy of all visible light so it will reduce the damage your eyes take from looking at the screen and it will reduce eye strain so overall it doesn’t effect your eyes or sleep as much

  • most smart phones have a blue light filter option to turn the screen instead of a blue light into a yellow brownish light. This doesn’t necessarily help 100% but I have noticed my eyes arent as strained and i have been able to fall asleep easier due to the lack of the blue light. i recommend it if people have a hard time putting the phone down at night.

  • Disagree with 40 to 80 percent. 1 any charge is still a cycle. Short charging will cause memory in the battery and does damage them as Opposed to charging to 100 and down to 40. Plus, a charge cycle is a charge cycle, might as well get more out of it as they are no infinate.

  • I went 3 months without a cell phone and I realized how much I started to forget my own family’s Phone numbers,when I was growing up I had to remember all of my friends and family members phone number by my own memory. I also noticed that I use my Phone for entertainment more then for calling anyone at all and that pisses everyone off. I use it for learning more quickly and by doing that it means less time in the Library and more time staring at a screen. Also Iam addicted to so much internet surfing that By the time I put my phone down the sun has already come up again lol
