  • subway is honestly the worst bang for your buck. people underestimate the amount of carbs they get in a sandwich and how little protein they get. obviously it depends what you order, but generally the average subway sandwich is super caloric and is not very satiating because it’s mostly just bread.

  • Yeah. I gave up. I’m sick of counting stuff and I’m sick of cooking and cleaning it up too. I drink about 50 grams of protein with pasteurized egg whites every day, then 500-600 calories of junk. I eat fruit in the morning and a serving of veggies almost every day. I’m trying to get my egg whites up to 100 grams of protein a day, but I can’t quite do it. So bloated. I have some meat occasionally.

  • We have a place in CO called twisters they make THE best grilled chicken sandwich I’ve ever tasted period and I’ve had every chicken sandwich this guy has mentioned and more. There chicken breasts are marinated for their burritos before they shred them and they use them for the sandwiches too. I think there are more of them in NM and AR as well if you are lucky enough to be near one go order the chicken sandwich ASAP and see what I’m talking about.

  • I’m just gonna say this rn. I get what your doing but in no way is it even close to the healthiest option. It’s called fuel. That fuel is horrible for you. Also peep your blood pressure all that stuff is high in sodium and peep your cholesterol the gym help with that but the fast food daily thing isn’t only a waste of money but nutrients value and your putting your body at risk. If you eat at maintenance or below you’ll be fine. And prob won’t gain weight right away But what will happen is your gonna be intaking way too many fats to carb to protein ratio. I’m not saying it’s bad for you my man. But I guarantee you. Muscle gain is 20% fitness and 80% diet or what you eat. But the whole point I feel is eating fast food overall isn’t healthy, you’ll still gain muscle since it’s good food for protein gains but you gotta choose what foods and macros your tracking and micros. I know a few people who don’t track and their results are slower. Tracking calories makes sure you don’t gain body fat and lose fat if need be or stay at maintenance. But if we peep that sodium. No matter what blood pressure going up. I cut out fast food completely, I went from 178 to 125 with my blood pressure and any health problems or feelings went away, with some added preventive medicine. But tracking sodium cholesterol is important. Fuel intake and what fuel your putting in makes a huge difference. Keep up the good work.

  • Loved the perspective on this, but the only thing I can say that was not entirely appealing, is that the lack of healthy fats (such as even taking your own olive oil based mayo along for the burgers) and trying to put the protein focus on pure meat (again, the burgers), rather than the chicken tenders(espeically if the person chooses to also have fries with those tenders) due to the load of carbs/insulin effects and what this does to the body (heart) over time. Keeping the carbs down, but increasing the fats in the fast food meals would, in my opinion, make fast food a very healthy option! Ps…I’m not at all against carbs…ie. if a person loves fries, then maybe pair it with the bunless burger rather than pairing it with another item with the carb coatings. (I would rather eat two quarter pounders with cheese and bacon, minus buns rather than the a meat with bread coating and fries, for ex).
