An Olin Business School study by Seth Carnahan of nearly 582,000 heart attack cases over 19 years showed female patients had a significantly higher survival rate when a woman treated them in the ER. With regard to medical malpractice claims, the fact that female physicians have a better record than male physicians is attributed more to better physician– patient relationships than to taking on less risky patients (Sloan, Mergenhagen, Burfield, Bovjerg, & Hassan, 1989).
There are plenty of cases of gender bias from patients too, with many assuming a woman to be a nurse rather than a doctor (with the opposite holding true for men).
Male doctors were less influenced by a patient’s gender in making a diagnosis, but both male and female physicians paid particular attention to a male patient’s age and considered more agerelated diseases for men than women.

im 16 and i have had all the symptoms last night of a heart attack except i didnt go to the ER and im still alive, could i still have suffered from a heart attack?
Im 13 and ive Been having a pain in My upper left chest it’s not severe it just feels sore and will go away after a few minutes after the pain goes away I sometimes get a pain in my left elbow the pain in my elbow hurts a bit more then will go away in a few minutes should I be worried??
I had happened across this video last night. Today a facebook friend was describing similar symptoms and I shared this video with her and asked her to please go to her doctor or if she could not get in to please go to an ER to get checked. She had been feeling bad since yesterday. She agreed she will go in to get checked. Thank God I came across this and was able to find it again today. I’m hoping she is OK, but she sounded bad enough that I felt she needed to get checked and after she viewed this video, she went on in to get checked. You all might have saved a life here, folks. God bless.
But the data shown does not support the title… This is why many canadians dislike the CBC, obvious political motivation (oppressed women) mixed with lazily manipulated data.
The worst thing about this story is that the figures which are subsequently provided in the reporter’s story illustrate the OPPOSITE of what is said in the intro! Another example of poor reporting by CBC.
How does male patients of male doctors having <1% better survival outcomes of heart attacks than women with male doctors prove that women are more likey to survive
Excellent video content! Sorry for the intrusion, I would love your thoughts. Have you considered Trentvorty Lively Heart Theorem (probably on Google)? It is a smashing one off guide for curing heart attack without the hard work. Ive heard some awesome things about it and my best friend Jordan after many years got cool results with it.
I’ve read the comments and I’m wondering how many people know about the very real statistical fact that women receive on average inferior medical help or treatment then men. This is based on the fact that society is still sexist against women on average, in other words male doctors and sometimes female doctors see women patients as turning moles into mountains. So we’re not taken seriously
I have a left pain in my neck where my pulse is and it’s been like this for a couple of days all the way down my left arm but my parents just think it’s a panic attack?
Men sit their clutching their chest…but women will describe in detail listing every symptom with their infinite wisdom and knowledge of all things compared to their ignorant male counterparts.
Seems legit I wonder who wrote this story let me guess a female… EDIT: 1:30 I love how they discredit male doctors that probably work really hard, in order to counteract the new male stereotypes of males being lazy.

So if women beat men by 1% at something, we need to do an entire news headline about it….? Are you that desperate to show that women are better?
