Meanwhile, Senate Democrats stage late night talk-a-thon to condemn GOP rush to repeal health-care law.

Senate Republicans are going to try again, a last resort effort to repeal ObamaCare is in effect. But can they shore up enough support this time? A vote is expected next week on new legislation put. WASHINGTON — Senate Republicans delivered another blow in their effort to dismantle the Affordable Care Act when they failed to pass a repeal of the Obama-era law on Wednesday afternoon.

The vot. Right after Republicans won the election, we laid out a strategy for immediately repealing Obamacare with a transition period, so that the default position would always be the repeal of Obamacare and so that consumers would get a sense of what premiums would look like after the leviathan was slain. We also proposed a 20-point blueprint for free market health care reforms to be.

“Just when the effort to repeal the Affordable Care Act appeared to be dead, a last-ditch push to dismantle the law could be nearing a showdown vote in the Senate, and a handful of Republicans insist they are closing in on the votes,” the New York Times reports. “The effort received a jolt of energy on Monday when Gov. Doug Ducey of Arizona, a Republican, strongly endorsed the latest.

One positive element is that Obama’s team and Senate majority leader Harry Reid included a reconciliation process in the health care debate, which means that (1) the bill can pass with just fifty-one votes and (2) the measure has a deadline of October 15, 2009.

By forcing Reid to invoke cloture on “the motion to concur in the House amendment to the Senate amendment” to the bill and then insisting on the full postcloture thirty hours of debate, Republicans hoped to make it that much harder for Democrats to meet their preChristmas target on health care reform.

  • He should’ve just been honest and explained that big pharma and the health care insurance industry fear the loss of revenue and profits if that market goes away. He, like the other senators and congressmen, receive great healthcare (that we pay for) and campaign funding to boot!

  • McCain has been screwing voters for years. He has done nothing to fix the VA all his time in office and he is hell bent on screwing us with Obamacare til his last breath. He is OUT OF TOUCH and always has been. He has led a charmed life before and after Vietnam and he has never been able to identify with working class people or veterans. He has been a useless and do nothing politician but is conceited as hell and thinks he was owed the presidency like Hillary Clinton does. I wish all of congress had to use the VA or Obamacare and then I bet they would help the rest of us and McCain would have voted differently. I wish he would resign. He has a brain tumor and Pelosi is senile and many others are nuts but we have to rely on these people to decide our fates???? Good grief. I don’t think I will ever be able to afford health insurance again. I can’t believe my own gov’t has put me in this position. They took away what I had by force and then offered nothing affordable. McCain is the hero of the democrats and the democrats are celebrating like they accomplished something great, but what ALL of congress and DC fail to think about and don’t care about is all the regular people who don’t live in DC or Hollywood are suffering and getting hope less. We need to start a new party called the Trump party and vote in a congress full of people willing and able to work with Trump. There is NOTHING funny about all of this. There is nothing to celebrate. McCain gets to go home and get his top notch healthcare for his tumor, NOT at a VA hospital of course. My Daddy got crappy care and died at the VA in 2012. My mother got hospice care only, no treatment for her cancer because Obamacare cancelled her insurance and she was forced to only use the VA Champ insurance. Only rich people get to extend their lives through treatment. Not us regular folk. Not with Obamacare or the VA. I am so fed up with congress and just don’t think it is even worth voting in 2018 because whether we get democrats or republicans we are screwed. There is no EQUALITY in our country when it comes to healthcare. If you are rich or a politician you get the best, if you are middle class, working class, or a veteran you get mediocrity and the cheapest.

  • I thought the bill had to save a billion in health care costs or it couldn’t pass by reconcilliation but would need 60 votes to pass.

  • OBAMACARE IS A FRAUD AND I CAN PROVE IT. YOU ALL SUCK WHILE WE DIE, YOU KEEP YOUR HEALTH CARE AND WE ARE DYING!!! My body will go out eventually, and we are ALL PENALIZED ILLEGALLY WITH THE SHARED RESPONSIBILITY TAX!!
IT WAS MEANT TO CREATE BILLIONS OF REVENUE, OVER 10 YEARS 170 BILLION.
AS I DIE, YOU CAN HAVE YOUR HEALTH CARE AND KEEP IT!
    WE LOSE
    OBAMA WON
    HILLARY WON

  • CNN & ASSOCIATES WILL NEVER REGAIN THER CREDIBILITY FOR NEWS AND WILL ALWAYS BE NONE FOR FAKE NEWS THER IS NO RUSSIAN CRAP GOING ON AND FOR MOST EVERTHING CNN SAYS MAKES NO SENCE WHAT SO EVER…I DONT KNOW WHY THEY FEEL IT IS WORKING OR MAYBE THEY ARE TO FAR IN THE HOLE WITH THE FAKE NEWS THAT THEY DONT EVEN KNOW HOW TO GET OUT AND THATS WHY CNN IS TRYING SO HARD TO FIND A BUYER TO SELL CNN NETWORK FOR $88 BILLION DOLLARS NOW THAT IS A JOKE ESPECIALLY WHEN THEY ONLY HAVE 2 MORE YEARS BEFORE BANKRUPTCY

  • So basically he didn’t want it repealed, but he voted party lines anyway and let McCain take all the heat for voting across party lines..

    Despicable

  • Old privileged conservative. I’m surrounded by them where I live. Sickening. Not a care in the world for those with less. They view empathy as weakness.

  • Insane mcCain
has a tumor in his brain
    and refuses with disdane
to help Trump do the drain
    reaper with some pain
    please take mcCain!

  • THE PENTAGON SPENDS A TRILLION DOLLARS ON A FIGHTER JET THAT DOESN’T WORK!  WHY CAN’T THE AMERICAN PEOPLE HAVE A HEALTH CARE THAT WORKS!

  • Hey hey psst…..pass me some of those juju fruits and popcorn’Cause this Thriller Thriller Night we’re fighting for our lives because it Killer Thriller 《doo-ta-doo, CLAP》 《doo-ta-doo, CLAP》!!!!!

  • He’s not able to explain it the same way Democrat still can’t explain how did 25 million people lose health insurance And lost the pre-existing condition plan because of Obamacare

  • No matter how many times I watch this, I get emotional. Thankfully ALL democrats & 3 #GOP Senators chose to represent Americans. The rest of the #GOP decided to represent Koch Bros, lobbyists & to get 45 a win. Remember this when mid-terms arrive. Democrats are a governing party. Republicans are an obstructionist party. They had SEVEN years to write a better plan. They failed. They are exposed. #FlipTheGOP

  • How is it that this evil old man is still allowed to vote? He has brain cancer, HE IS UNFIT to make any descisions! What’s wrong with you, ARIZONA?

  • Senator Chuck Snake in the Grassley thinks Obamacare won’t be repealed by the Supremes. He deliberately overlooks that he and other GOP Senators confirmed TWO “conservative” judicial activists!

  • One year ago…
TRUMP: John McCain is no Hero. He became a war Hero because he got caught.
    2017….
TRUMP: What I really meant to say about McCain for not being a war hero was…

  • McCain has been a Zionist trader for many years, he doesn’t care about people, just the NWO. Karma is a b*tch, enjoy your tumer McCain.

  • If you really watch this video he’s telling you the truth it’s all a game…it was never going to be repealed. He is voting to get it repealed because he was ordered to vote that way.

  • Greedy American rich people do not care about our live haaaa all they care about there money or power. No one care about in American one word greedy greedy all same shit

  • On the evening of Jan 20 2017… Donald Trump signed the bill to repeal Obama Care or the Afortable Care Act. See https://www.govtrack.us/congress/votes search under repeal ACA.

  • why are the democrats so stupid they can’t vote the right way..nobody is listening to their little vague comments they just taking forever to vote..shows their ignorance big time..lol

  • So basically the old white guy doesnt have a plan to replace Obamacare, and voted for to repeal a law that he doubts will not be repealed? Yeah makes sense.

  • O ya obamacare something not even own by the government but bye prince harry the Antichrist or William of wales to push the mark of the beast system look it up

  • I have no healthcare insurance in 2018 because of you! My family is on its 3 rd insurance company in as many yrs with no choice for 2018. I’m an independent self employed business man in Tennessee. SCREW OBAMACARE, SCREW THE PEOPLE WHO PASSED IT, AND SCREW THE PEOPLE THAT DON’T CHANGE IT-SCREW YOU ALL!!!!!

  • Did not vote for the skinny repeal. My girl friend makes 9000 dollars a year and her deductible under obamacare is 6400 dollars. She had to take out a loan to pay for her deductible when she needed surgery. Im sure mcCain doesnt have obamacare. Do you know any one on obamacare? Btw her monthly rate is 340 per month. And 60 dollars co pay. And i read that obamacare will be going up next year. President Trump is right, obamacare is going to implode. McCain could of voted to start the repeal but he is a zero, he is no hero. Even Paul Rand voted to repeal.

  • Most if not all Republicans are so anti-Citizen that they should really all quit their jobs and leave it to people who care about the citizens. Or just perhaps take them out in the woods and lynch them.

  • Single payer health care. What is wrong with you poeple. It doesn’t work in other countries. Government is 20 trillion in debt and you want them to run health care. They couldn’t run a lemonade stand.
