  • My afternoon nap is a couple to few hours. But I have reasons for it. However I did not know this afternoon fatigue was so common. I just go to sleep. I have to handle my stuff in the morning or after my nap so I can get stuff done.

  • Hey dude, i have a problem i sleep like 9-10 hours and get enough sleep, but when i wake up, i get really tired even during the day especially in the noon, any help?

But, during the night i can’t sleep even if i tried, this is weird

  • I specifically look for this problem as I suffered from it so many times (almost everyday) during my last internship.
The video was released after my internship but man I’m glad that I know what is the problem and how to deal with it.
    THANK YOU SO MUCH!
They should add this to company training in EVERY COMPANY!

  • I feel exact opposite of this. Although i wake up early in the morning, i am motivated after noon. And i do good and creative works.

  • Frankenfood is the SAD, Standard American Dietsince going on Whole Food Plant Basedlow salt, sugar, sat fat etc I dont ache anymore. Youre great. Thx.

  • Many people simply suck down a cup of coffee or have a monster to smooth over the rough spot. A power nap is better though, and cheaper. Some people can fall asleep at the drop of a hat, I wish I was one of them:(

  • That’s why we need a siesta or a qayloola (arabic word for siesta). Or something akin to it in which you take a short power nap to recharge or just rest.

  • What I normally do is watch anime the whole time and stop right at 4, do workouts and then take a bath and start studying while sipping tea around 5:30.. if I manage to get comfortable in that position I could continue till dinner time

  • In Islam, we have a prayer at noon which is kinda like meditation(you have to not think about anything avout your life other than the prayer), and noon time nap is encouraged, and it is encouraged to eat 7 dates early in the morning, the sugar in dates is not like white sugar, it will last the whole day

  • I have never been a coffee drinker because I never felt any effects from it. But recently until I was introduced to a coffee that has changed my life. After hearing the unbelievable benefits from this specific coffee from a family member and doing some research on the ingredients in it I decided I would try it. 15 to 30 minutes after I finished my first cup (you only drink one a day) I was in awe. This coffee is specially made to release 4 chemicals in your brain dopamine, serotonin, endorphins, and oxytocin. I am the happiest I have ever been. It eliminates my anxiety. It enhances my memory, clears my brain fog, gives me mental clarity, and helps me focus. It curbs my appetite, takes away cravings of junk food, speeds up your metabolism, and promote weight loss. I am so thankful that I found this for literally just the the happiness I feel on a daily basis the rest is just a bonus and i have barely skimmed the surface on the benefits of this product and all the many health benefits, and sicknesses it helps with High blood pressure, diabetes, anxiety, depression, and more. If you are intrested in hearing more about this product or want to know where to buy it comment or PM me I would be glad help you out so it can change your life like it changed mine.
P.S. If you are sensitive to caffeine or dont like coffee they have it I hot chocolate as well!

  • Sleep at the same hour, wake up at the same hour, 6 to 8 hours sleeping. Eat healthily and workout at least 40 min, walk or bike daily, if working out change the exercises day by day….s.

  • I pulled a all nighter. The next day at night I couldn’t sleep.
I think I have insomnia, it’s either that or I’m a night owl.
    Plus I have ADD.

  • When you’re narcoleptic so you’re tired the whole day anyway (but yeah it’s the worst around 2-4pm for me, glad I’m allowed to sleep in school)

  • While all that is true you are oversimplifying human body and mind second you underestimate the importance of adrenaline and focus.human mind can do wonders.so don’t waste your 4 waking hrs guys and believe in yourself an a+ is an a+ even in middle of the night

  • “We experience a large drop in energy, particularly between 2 and 4 am, but we usually don’t notice this drop in mental ability because most of us are asleep.” cries in insomnia.

  • This is kinda true I get up by the time I get ready drive to work and clock in I’m good to go my energy is up after lunch I feel sluggish and done with the day. When I get home I find my energy is back up for a bit but falls quickly towards night

  • I usually take a two hour nap from 1pm to 3pm. However I’m up at 4am and my mornings are quite demanding plus I tend to just get 5-6 hrs of sleep at night.

  • I get migraines from caffeine it’s terrible, but I’m learning to live without caffeine. I’m still laying in bed because I work night shifts can’t even play Ghost of Tsushima cuz i still feel tired:(

  • I didn’t quite get the very end that was giving the address of the virtual consultations although I don’t know that I need one. You may want to add the address to this page, though, so it will be easier for people to see.

I have been increasing my activity level, but I suspect the metoprolol and possibly the other drugs are to blame. Unfortunately, there appears to be no way to get off of them. I will go to the store and buy some magnesium to see if that will help.

I have also been eating meat more often even calf’s liver to see if that will help as I prefer to eat only raw fruits and vegetables for the most part (not entirely, though I also eat a lot of beans and I do eat various breads from time to time I love cheese-/peanut butter sandwiches LOL). I also eat a lot of yogurts and drink buttermilk, trying to keep my gut biome healthy.

I wish I had more energy. The one time I had a cardioversion, I felt wonderful for 5 days then the A-Fib returned. I have been unable to have another cardioversion due to a blood clot always being found when I am checked right before doing the procedure [so it is cancelled]. I remind myself that other people who are seriously ill must feel a lot worse that I do but still, I miss feeling good.

Thank you for making this video! I could listen to you all day, you present the subject so interestingly. =)

  • I don’t drink caffeine, I don’t stay up late or wake up late (I got to bed at 9:30 PM and wake up at 5:30 PM), but I’m super tired all day every day. Even after a good night’s rest, I feel tired all day and don’t feel normal unless I sleep for about an hour and a half to two hours.

  • even though in the cold is the bad time but i use to get it out side in the cold where it was freezing at night but i would get it up in the winter

  • so much for their support smh but they still have differnt views and now since im workin on my body the girls are gonna wanna see it like my teachers like my friends and my guys girl all of them

  • but im like i dont want to see any of them naked to even suggest this type of behavior sure they make fun but they watch every day

  • After all these years damn… it was nice to see y’all again oh life and it’s paths never figured normal a million years I would of guessed some of ya pop out of the ground

  • Aww this is not fun but I need not an army just the path to enlightenment I mean I’m not gonna go on a crusade I just need to escape but without being or seeing afraid it’s just terrible

  • My problem is that I work a job that makes me sleep twice once at night and once in the day so idk what to do. And my weekends change each week

  • *sleeps for 3 hours reading comics, surfing Instagram, chatting, and playing* not bad.
*sleeps for 8 hours like a normal human would* turn of the sunnnn

  • Caffeine works but over time your body gets used to it and you need higher doses to feel the same effect not to mention your body tries to compensate by making you more tired after the coffee has worn off.

  • Ducking dumb video. I thought I would get the medical answers. I was recently diagnosed with hypothyroidism and taking medication for it. After three months on the medication I still feel extremely fatigued/tired all day long even though I sleep 8-10 hours a night. I’m constantly tired at work/all dat and waiting to hit the bed. Please pray for me!

  • #4 is bad on your thyroid im giving up caffeine if you need stimulants you are pushing your body

  • I want to share some important information regarding heart palpitations after eating. After 6 years of dealing with heart palpitations and going back in forth between my cardiologist and stomach doctor I finally figured out how to get rid of them. I stopped eggs’, milk and wheat and they went away within two days. If heart palpitations are giving you a fit look at your food.

  • I needed this advice I have diabetes and I also have been so tired and so cold. I’m going to try these tips thank you! Any recommendations on what to eat during this winter season?

  • You haven’t said anything I don’t know, but apparently I needed to hear it all again. Cut the caffeine. I’ve let it creep back up. Find a workout that can accommodate the shoulder injury that’s kept me mostly sedentary since New Year’s morning. Simple stuff. Thanks for a great video.

  • Does OSA cause tachycardia? If yes, why? If heart rate is always around 100 to 110, is it normal? Will it cause early or sudden cardiac death?

  • You are amazing Dr. Thank.you. question what about feeling my heart beat in my stomach? My heart is good but something I have always had. Im 50 now and it gets stronger at times especially after losing 35 pounds and laying on my stomach. Food allergies and heartburn gave me palpitations due to histamine reaction. What started me watching you. Thank you

  • You got the wrong number 1. You don’t know tired until you get put on Beta Blockers. Nobody is going to improve their physical fitness on that shit. All you want to do is lay around and sit on your ass.

  • I had full count blood test, ekg, all came out normal but I feel lethargic, feeling as if heart is not doing good but most the doc said palpitations

  • I was diagnosed with viral infection in my blood about 25 yrs ago. I was in my 20’s. My mitral valve was leaking about 50 % and I was in hospital for about two months.
After I was out of hospital I order for me to go to dentist I had to go to hospital before to get antibiotics.
As time went by I no longer needed antibiotics before any dentist appointments.
Does a leaky heart valve ever completely heal?

  • Dr Gupta, I think you forgot to mention vitamin B deficiency, especially B12, which can be a common cause of tiredness among vegans.

  • I’ve had blood tests x2 I’m 49 and was diagnosed with pleat Xmas. I’m still ill. Nobody knows what’s wrong with me, sometimes I feel like I’m going to die if I do too much. My health has gone down hill since having plurisy.. can you cure me.

  • i wish more people new how bad caffeine is for their health. but with so much advertising on how it wakes you up makes you feel alert. worse thing created is starbucks, it has all these young people addicted to it. which i find a big problem.

  • The power nap doesn’t work for everyone.
I’m one of those people who already needs at least one hour to fall asleep during the day, no matter how sleepy I am. So I wouldn’t know when I’ve reached the 20 minute mark ‍♀️

  • I don’t have a problem understanding the Doctor. Are you an English teacher? I don’t think it is necessary for you to pick apart what he is saying.

  • 1. Natural light.
    2. Try filling yourself more with fruit and vegetables and less starch.
    3. Vitamin D.
    4. Exercise. At leat 150 min per week.
    5. Depression. Can also affect you especially during lockdown.

  • Guys the best way is just get the loudest alarm clock and use that cuz when I use it I jump off the bed and have enough energy to get up

  • _ get as much natural light as possible. Ah yeah, let me just go ask if the sun would like to be up for longer than three hours…

  • Excellent video! Nothing seems to help me because I have hypothyroidism, pcos and an adrenal adenoma. All
    I want to do
Is sleep but I’m not clinically depressed.

  • Am I the only one who goes to school and comes home half dead, I don’t sleep because I see it as a waste of time because I’m striving to be a professional artist, drawing every day is key to improving but when I draw when I’m tired it’s just super sloppy and I can’t find any ideas to work on…

  • Tip numba……………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………One

  • Great suggestions. But, I REALLY WISH that I could delete the music track and listen only to the words. I am so annoyed by the music that I do not want to listen to the words.

  • I can’t get natural light because if I’m at college they don’t allow us to go outside of the building and if I’m at work then it’s in an office building wv no natural light entering

  • But what if I have to get up at 5:00 a.m. because my school hates their students and has an extremely early schedule? I can’t open my curtains! Well, technically, I can, but there would be no point. I also have a closed campus (duh I’m in middle school) so I can’t take walks or get sunlight into me until the end of the school day?

  • I came from gym now and have been feeling energy less for more than 3 days now. I am forcing myself to smile, it feels like a chore a lot of times.

  • 1000 units D3 a day is a bit low. In summer, the body metabolizes up to 20.000 units a day… winter supplementation of 10.000 units a day is a more common recommendation.

  • Thanks for this video!! I was actually having extreme laziness after my lunch period. Now I know the reason!
A power nap is something I need the most

  • for everyone struggling with sleep: I find that adding liquid melatonin to my water at around 8 or 9pm helps with insomnia or that annoying evening energy burst and sipping it slowly for an hour or so eases me into a proper drowsy state.

  • Opiates make me tired when I stop moving…but make new feel like shit when I don’t take….it’s a catch 22, I’d rather smoke weed
