  • I love how bright you are!
Thanks ever so much for sharing such kind of astonishing books.I’ll try to read all and create my better version with the help of these books.
    Love you so much

  • You should really read when breath becomes air by Paul kalanithi it’s not fiction but it just makes it so much better. I 100% recommend if anyone reads this book please lmk your thoughts.

  • Have you read Book 2& 3 of the girl with the dragon tattoo series?
Personally book 3 has been my favourite out of all 3 (I don’t necessarily consider the ones that came after them a part of this series, call it my bias against the new author as his writing & attention to detail is really not as great as Stieg Larsson!)

  • I’m new here. YouTube recommended you. I have 3500 books in my library. Scully, the author that reads to you My stuff is dark like Stieg. Read it. Loved it.

  • but the girl with the dragon tattoo is not just entertaining…. it is based on truth and Stieg Larsson really tried to fight these problems in sweden….

  • Awesome recommendations Josh:) appreciate the nuggets of wisdom and encouraged to read 1 of these books during this Carona Lockdown! PS I’ve noticed you forgot to word point 4 for the mastery book. Take Care and God Bless!

  • Where were you all my life? I saw your video of all time favorite series and now I’m binge watching! I love your voice and when you mention The Night Circus, I just

  • Great video as always, Chloé. I tried finding three of these books here in Argentina but unfortunately each one costs 1/8 of my salary. I hope I can read any of them some day, your review is really interesting!

  • I am here to find good english books because I am still learning and I was SOOOO exited to read the picture of dorian gray but then comes that sentence and I was like wait what did she just read lol

  • Great information! I have a recommendation for a Christian Living>Personal Development series book series that discusses a strategy that could resonate with your audience that gears the mind up yo gain a year’s-worth of wisdom from a single day. The series emphasizes focus, vision, and planning. How would I go about getting the ebook to you?

  • “The picture of Dorian Gray” is one of my favorites too! I think this is the first book that explained me how human beings work, and after I finished it I fell like I understood everything I needed to know about life.

  • Hi Lavendaire! Your story of journey and acceptance resonate with what so many of us in the world are grasping at different rates. I have a book series for recommendation that is all about affirming the whole person and learning how to get the whole essence to emerge stronger than ever. How would I go about getting the ebook to you to share?

  • You should read the sister pact. I don’t normally read matter a fact I suck at readin and I’m pretty sure I’m dyslexic butt….. I picked this up because I was bored and actually really really liked it. I hadn’t turned my tv on because I was reading the book so much. I HIGHLY recommend it. Read it and tell me what you think

  • Wonderful selection! I would only add Matt Kahn to self-help/spirituality… and it would be lovely to hear your suggestions for fiction! <3

  • I have to admit I am not keen on the classics. When I was in ameture dramatics we did Shakespeare couldnt stand it then we did the bronte hated that.

  • I have a problem whenever I order books online each and every time I finish them in a day or two and this makes me feel why did I spent so much for such a short book

  • I think the book that can bring revolutionary change in one’s thoughts and life is ‘The Holy Quran’ revealed by the creator of this universe ALLAH(GOD).So to get better understanding of this book one should visit any nearby Islamic @t this book is guidance for all humans in every aspect of their @t read, understand and implement in your lives to see the real change.

  • …Can you hear that?

    …Well?

    Can you hear it?

…Please, tell me you can hear it.

    …it’s the Hum!

Do you know what that Hum is?

    …It’s your courage to come.

Know that there is no challenge that we cannot overcome.

We shall win…and we shall do it with courage.

    every crum.

The Hum hums ahead of our hearts, shielding all precious to soul.

The Hum of our hearts…that song,

    the hymn of courage,

    of strength,

    confidence,

    has come,

and doubters of courage and discouragers are dumb,

and if you doubt what you have,

if you do doubt each starry crumb of your courage beating,

singing, burning and humming within you,

    then you will remain glum.

A courageless heart is a soul numb.

Now let this world be our fearless drum,

    for courage and its rise;

it’s time for us to remove our conformity-disguise.

From courageous fire rising over our hearts — we —

    the matchless —

    shall beat the ordinary enemy,

for fear is no competition to the Hum to drum the world.

All threats, great…small, past, present and future —

    we have, we can…we will overcome;

    we will overcome all fear,

    every enemy,

    each obstacle,

    every and each challenge,

and we will do it with courage.

    We are the hum…

the only hum to drum this world.

    So everybody listen.

listen to your hum…hear the hum of others.

It’s there…always there, and it never goes, can never die…the hum is always passed on.

  • I truly believe this book will make it on your next “Books to Read” video if you read it. Lots of testimonies of amazing encounters with God from its readers…And we’d enjoy any feedback if it makes your list. @m4P4..it’s called “Morphed” Unlocking Lasting Change

  • I know most people listen while doing homework. But it’s been great for me at work during late night shifts. Thanks for the great music!

  • I also loved you can Heal your Life, You are Badass at making money & The Art of Tidying up. Great Books btw I also love listening to Audio Books

  • Idk if u have read them but i seriously recommend the Rosewood Chronicles by Connie Glynn. The book series isn’t finished but i feel u would enjoy it ♡

  • I started reading to improve my english. And now i’m a big fan of books and love them even in my language (hungary) Before this little motivation bomb i didn’t really read any books in general.

  • I have read some of these already but took notes of many of your suggestions. Loving all your positive energy and your smile. Keep doing what you’re doing and thank you for the recommendations!:)

  • absolutely love this! getting so many of these books. i also highly recommend super attractor by gabrielle bernstein! i recommend this one in my youtube vid on my self care quarantine obsessions:)

  • I’m a little bit of a skeptic when it comes to self-help books, but I always find that I learn something new whenever I read them. I really enjoyed “all about love” by bell hooks which is written from an intersectional feminist perspective, so super relevant!

  • Hi Aileen, just wanted to let you know that you actually say “Tolle” correctly in German the “e” is pronounced as well at the end so you are completely correct when you say TollE just as it is also PorschE and not Porsch:)))) Love your videos!

  • This is now the 3rd time in as many days someone or something has suggested Mastery by robert Greene I think that needs to be my next read:)

  • I can so resonate with your talk about your channel. I have been at it for two years without any growth. But I love to make videos and I will keep pushing and eventually the hard work will pay off

  • Hi @Lavendaire I’d like to buy you a copy of “How To Be Successful: Think Like A Leader” if you’ll read it! Would you like Kindle or Paperback?
    @t

  • I’m 39 and not a reader. Would love to start reading. Your #1 must read book that you think I would love and can’t put down?
Thanks in advance everyone as I need some help getting started.

  • great timing! I just broke up with my boyfriend and I am looking for something that will distract me from negative emotions and help me focus on myself, on personal development. thank you so much!

  • Hello someone inside the comment section how are you? Hope your doing just fine.. but you should really do your work.. but if you want to chill for awhile, sure! Do what you think is best… Hey wanna know something? I think your doing a great job! Ha? Your not doing anything? Well that’s okay.. be productive when you want..hey is life getting to hard? Yea.. it gets like that… It’ll be alright though.. you’ll always have someone.. and if you don’t… I know you’ll find her/him. Stay strong friend

  • I actually got The Success Principles book at a thrift store I don’t know anything about it but was looking for intresting books it’s one of my favorites

  • truly loved your viewpoint on money. i dislike when people say “money doesn’t bring happiness”. in a literal way, ofc it doesn’t. but the freedom money gives, yes. i grew up with a single mother of 3 and money was always a struggle, it got to the point where she had 3 jobs in order for us to survive. long story short, money is important used in a responsible way.

  • In my opinion, it’s not pronounced Eckhart Toll, but Eckhart Toll-e as he was born in Germany and if it’s a German name, then you definitely have to pronounce the E (I’m German btw). Even his English Wikipedia article says so as far as I can tell by the phonetic spelling. Moreover, the English article even states that his original surname was Tölle which sounds more like a real German surname to me. However, his German article doesn’t confirm this, so I’m not too sure. Either way, just look up the word “Tolle” in German and listen to the pronunciation. You were saying it right all along. Other than that, great video, I’ve been enjoying your content for a very long time now, but I rarely get myself to write comments here on YouTube:)

  • I am seriously not kidding when i say that it is so visible in you that you’ve read these books. You appear to have such a mature and wise soul, it suits you well. You inspire others so much and spread a lot of wellness, i might read some of these books since i want to grow as well and be able to spread a positive messages in my own videos.

  • You can read this for free (android phone only)

    first, download ReadEra
then search gen.lib.rus then click the first link which is LIBRARY GENESIS then search for the books

  • Thanks for the suggestions. Ive been trying to read more this year, but hands down one of my favorite books is “How to Win Friends and Influence People” it really just helps you understand strong people skills and since reading it I have noticed huge improvements in my own life. Here’s the link if anyone is interested https://amzn.to/2UK2uGt

  • Fuck my life. I was so close to finishing it on time. SO CLOSE. Then I went to my dads house and am nothing and it’s two am fucking kill me.

  • Yo, this is my favorite playlist, thx for the music. I’m also in online school and it’s boring, but with the music… it makes me fell calm and chill

    Be safe

  • It so crazy that I have not met any girl who shown this much interest on reading book. Our library also consists of 80 % of mail. And all I see here in YouTube is girls only reviewing books. What the hell? Sometimes I don’t believe everything in YouTube.

  • Your right about what you said of why you read books I’m a new reader I’m on YouTube like crazy trying to look for what books I want to purchase. I want to learn so many things about spirituality and also get lost in those fiction fantasy worlds your talking about..

  • I’d add this book to the list: Procrastination Elimination Method by John Isaac (let me just say that I did not regret reading this book!)

  • I really love your videos and your content, but in the last couple of weeks I realised that you tend to talk fast and faster which makes it super stressful to listen to it. I tried to take notes, but whenever I was finished with one book you were already two books ahead. I would love if you take your time while filiming. Greetings from Germany:)

  • it’s 1AM and im studying for the test that is going to be taking place in 8 hours:) will move on to the 2AM one soon. and 3 AM one too.

  • loved this, as always! i’d love to hear some more if you have any! more like atomic habits -type-of-vibe if you know what i mean:))

  • i haven’t read a physical book in about a year and bc of you i think the first book i want to read is the night circus and i am excited

    I gotta annotate two novels.

And a 3 page getting to know you assignment.

  • This is so creepy I didn’t enjoy great expectations and that’s what has put me off A tale of two cities and I just keep telling myself do it for Will and Tessa

  • I thought “you’re a badass at making money” was good but I found that it didn’t really motivate me to take action but more to just believe the world is going to bring me money. I really liked “The Money Makeover” by Dave Ramsey. His book talked alot about people’s stories and then the 7 steps to making your finance life better.

  • I’m depressed and can’t stand this situation i’m currently in… this type of music made me feel better tho.. i hope u guys take care of yourself ok, don’t forget to eat healthy!

  • BRO! Perfume is like my favourite book of all time. I cannot recommend it enough, though I do always preface, probably best to read one chapter at a time. I love it, it’s disgusting, it’s the best, super relatable, the ending is awesome and aweful. The start is disgusting and wonderful. I have read it al least 4 times. I love it so much. Please please please read.

  • Thank you for this inspirational Video Most of the books are already on my want to read list
Ps *Eckhart Tolle was born in Germany and grew up here until he was 13, so you were right pronouncing his name Eckhart TollE.. not eCkHaRdT tOLL ^^

  • You should read a book called “No Regrets” by Lincoln Penngrab. Really suspenseful short story that will definitely take you by surprise.

  • Thank you Chilledcow for uploading this video. I feel too motivated. I usually listen this while taking short breaks after studies .

  • The best book is the QuranThe mission of this book the Noble Qur’an is to bring people out of the darkness of ignorance, disbelief and polytheism into the light of faith, because every disbeliever is a polytheist surrounded by darkness. Everything, in life, livelihood and pleasure, and if he looked to the light of faith, he would see the Hereafter and its eternal bliss, and he would work for it, but because he is surrounded by darkness, he does not see… and the way for him to see is this book, because it brings people out when they read it from the darkness of ignorance and disbelief To the light of truth and certainty. And this is the miracles of the Quran
Listen, you who are proud of God, do you deny these miracles that the Qur’an has shown, and there are many of them, and I will mention some of them.

“The pain you have conquered in the lowest parts of the earth, and after their victory, they will be victorious in a few years.

The Almighty said, then we created the sperm for a leech. So we created the clot to chew. So we made the chew into bones.

“Marj al-Bahrain meets an isthmus that they do not want,” God Almighty said in Surah Al-Zukhruf

And he who came down from heaven with a measure of water, and we spread it through his country, dead, so you will go out.

This specific amount of rain has been approved by recent research conducted at the present time, “and the splitting of the moon, the people of Mecca used to ask the Prophet to show them a miracle, so I showed them the split of the moon into two halves, what was nothing but stubbornness and disbelief and accusing the Messenger of witchcraft.” in Quran

Among your scholars and scholars, as well as the hadiths of the Messenger that Western scholars spoke about, such as fasting
Drinking water three times? Very important, sleep on the right, and miswak and many of them

  • I was doing my homework I didn’t know I fell asleep on my laptop I woke up to my mother yelling “Why aren’t you in class?”. (It was already 6pm) It was worth it now I don’t have any missing assignments.

  • I’m a Persian from Iran as well. I’m Iranian ❤️ Persian people from Tajikistan, Iran and Afghanistan have a long detailed history. People often think Persian is synonymous to Iran, but it isn’t. There’s Persians in Tajikistan and Afghanistan. You should consider reading Rumi’s poetry books. Rumi was a Persian poet born in Balkh, Afghanistan.

  • Here’s my list:
    1:ACOTAR series
    2:Throne of Glass series
    3:Crescent City

(Yes they’re all written by Sarah J.Mass but still… They’re all awesome in different ways:)

  • Have you ever considered reading out loud and post it on YouTube? You know like audiobooks? I think you would do an excellent job at it.

  • If you love dark gothic literature so much go for Wuthering Heights by Emily Brother. “One hundred years of Solitude” by Gabriel Garcia Marquez is the best magical realism book so far. Would definitely recomment! Love the book recommendations!

  • I love that your video showed up on my home page! Probably because of my mention of some of these books. Awesome suggestions! I’m glad I found you

  • Bro?????? You didn’t inform that “Dance Dance Dance” is actually a sequel to another book!!!!! I got it, started reading it and now I’m mad

  • Really looking forward to reading Song of Achilles and The Guinevere Deception (already read CoVaV) and will add a few of your suggestions to my list. King of Scars, Windwitch, and The Dark Vault are execellent!! As for Murikami, I think Kafka on the Shore is pry his best, so either start with the best, or if you want to read others and enjoy them all, maybe start with The Wind Up Bird Chronicle!

  • …Can you hear that?

    …Well?

    Can you hear it?

…Please, tell me you can hear it.

    …it’s the Hum!

Do you know what that Hum is?

    …It’s your courage to come.

Know that there is no challenge that we cannot overcome.

We shall win…and we shall do it with courage.

    every crum.

The Hum hums ahead of our hearts, shielding all precious to soul.

The Hum of our hearts…that song,

    the hymn of courage,

    of strength,

    confidence,

    has come,

and doubters of courage and discouragers are dumb,

and if you doubt what you have,

if you do doubt each starry crumb of your courage beating,

singing, burning and humming within you,

    then you will remain glum.

A courageless heart is a soul numb.

Now let this world be our fearless drum,

    for courage and its rise;

it’s time for us to remove our conformity-disguise.

From courageous fire rising over our hearts — we —

    the matchless —

    shall beat the ordinary enemy,

for fear is no competition to the Hum to drum the world.

All threats, great…small, past, present and future —

    we have, we can…we will overcome;

    we will overcome all fear,

    every enemy,

    each obstacle,

    every and each challenge,

and we will do it with courage.

    We are the hum…

the only hum to drum this world.

    So everybody listen.

listen to your hum…hear the hum of others.

It’s there…always there, and it never goes, can never die…the hum is always passed on.

  • So idk where to ask this but can someone help me find the type of book I’m looking for??.. So I don’t know if this is too specific, but I would like to read a non-fiction book about someone with a troubled / traumatic past. Ideally, maybe they start off as a not so good person or are cold hearted because of it, or just don’t know who they want to be, and they grow in character and end up being a kinder wiser person after overcoming their inner turmoil and pain. I’d like it to have a lot to reflect on and something to actually learn from, not just a fun story.

Geared towards the new adult age range. Nothing TOO disturbing. Thanks!

  • I read A new Earth and found it incredible, truly life changing! but I wowuldn’t reccomend reading it in Italian, it is a pretty difficult read still so I think you won’t be able to get it fully if you have to focus on the language too much.

  • Hey you should try Balzac and the little Chinese seamstress by Dai Sijie my mom used to work at a printing factory thing (I don’t know the proper name), but she said it was really good. She got it for cheap because the print had defects. When I was little the cover always caught my eye idk, but those little bright red shoes just really intrigued me.Me and my mom kinda hate reading so for this to actually get us past the first 20 pages is incredible. It is short though.

  • Book no. 1 and I’m sold! I have LOVED this book since I first read it when i was like 15-16 and it has since remained my no. 1 and will probably remain that way for a long long LONG time!

  • thank you for your video! I really like the way you talk, the way you express your opinion, and how interesting it is to listen to you! from Russia with love ❤️

  • Great Expectations wasn’t my favorite thing but I loved Little Dorrit, Bleak House and Hard Times. Hope you enjoy A Tale of Two Cities.

  • Wow!! Just wow! I wanted to get into reading again and this video was just the thing to help me do that. Before now I thought that most books are just so boring and that we read them in class just for the sake of it. But seeing how passionate you are about these books and also hearing about all the different kind of books there are out there is very inspiring to me. I’ll definitely check out some of these books! And thanks a lot for this video. I hate having to search for good books cause it’s so hard and time consuming especially when you don’t know what to look for. And I should add that I just love your energy!! Also your gay which is always a plus!! Cause me too.

  • I loved the power of now but I like a new earth even more ❤️ a new earth touches more on cultural and societal topics in terms of collective consciousness, evolution and global dynamics whereas the power of know is really focused on the individual’s experience and the ego. ☺️

  • Thank you for introducing good choices of books.
    I’m Japanese and like reading.
Murakami is one of my favorite authors.
I recommend you to start reading from Kafka on the Shore, Norwegian Wood, Hard-Boiled Wonderland and The End Of The World.
    You would like them.

  • When you said you read fantasy and magic and witches things like that, I’m just
Think I’m going to love every single book you read!

  • I JUST FINISHED KAFKA ON THE SHORE. It was vert strange but I think you will like it. There are two stories that sort of collide. Thats all I will say. There were things I hated but definitely things I loved.

  • Good looking lovely face nice Beauty so sweet and God bless you dear friend I like you.hi dear friend I am ramdass from India and you

  • You can get an affiliate link for audible actually and use it in your description. Plus you would earn 5 dollars per person who signs up! Anyway, great list! Thank you!

  • I read A tale of two cities also because of TID and I was completely amazed. I’m sure you’ll like it too if you haven’t read it yet

  • Besides the apparent frustration of being rejected [by Audible,] this video was informative and enjoyable to watch. You put a lot of work in to your descriptions accompanied by the visual images. I was slightly concerned about your books on the grass. Overall, amusing! And I have a few new books to read! Thanks.

  • What do you think of improve your IQ in a short period of time with Rotogenflux Methods? I notice a lot of people keep on speaking about Rotogenflux Methods.

  • We had to read “Perfume” in my German class (I am German) and “Brave New World” in English class. Both books are weird and amazing at the same time. I think talking about the deeper meanings behind them makes the books even better!!

Also thank you for these recommendations <3

  • I haven’t read the first one. It’s on my list. I’m reading the power of now and it’s very good. I think it’s not a book you can read in one go meaning you have to pose and think you what you’ve just read. It’s a book you can re-read. Otherwise I’ve read all the other ones and I loved them. Especially the mastery of love and all the books of this author. Thank for sharing. These aren’t changing life books for nothing

  • I am going to try and read your books as i am 47 and could do with some of these books please stay safe love John from Australia xx

  • I bought my copy of Starless Sea back in December, thanks for the gift card big brother, but I have yet to read it. So I’m hoping that I can at least get around to it before my birthday, which is in two months. Fingers crossed everyone. I have at least two more books to get through before I get to that one. Honestly I’m glad that you talk about your favorite books because thanks to you and this channel I’ve read three authors that you’ve talked about within the last year. So thank you Hannah.

  • Only men that have time to read are the ones who arent developing! Talk about accomplishing NOTHING! Yes I need to READ to learn how to get off my BUTTTT! LMAO

  • Great video. Would be great if you could do more videos like this one, I’m sure others feel the same. I’m an avid reader/listener and always looking for recommendations.

    I love Robert Greene’s work.
Curiously “Becoming Supernatural by Dr. Joe Dispenza” is not available on Audible at the moment. On US or UK sites. Very strange and disappointing.
    Neither is “The slight edge”
Looks like I will have to actually read them rather than listen!

Psycho-Cybernetics Looks good. Just bought that.

Edit: I found free shared audio version of “The Slight Edge”..On soundcloud.
