  • It was lovely to see baby Ari, she’s getting so big and just the cutest, it seemed appropriate to have her with you while talking about baby products not to buy, Not that I have any babies anymore, they’ve all grown and left the nest Lol . Best Wishes from Queensland Australia

  • What you describe at 1:45 makes no sense to me. The only opening for the bag is on top?! So how can this be an issue? For my understanding, there is only one opening, that is on top. So unless the bag has wholes or the sealing on top isn’t tight enough, it shouldn’t matter at all.

  • 1st time mom this was the most helpful review and comparison of these products thank you.! I am a long time YouTuber and you did a really good job with the video

  • You can also use regular trash bags in the diaper genie..it’s a hack I’ve seen used that I use as well and it works perfect. TFS

  • I mean this is based off your experience I have heard from all my mother friends that the diaper genie releases no odor whatsoever. So it is a matter of opinion I have people who praise by the diaper genie and isn’t a huge investment to pay upfront, you probably don’t replace the carbon filters, or not as often as you do need to but the little trap door does help to keep odor in, aswell as the carbon filter, I was gifted the diaper genie gift set that comes with 8 refills and 8 carbon filters and I must say I don’t regret getting the diaper genie

  • The diaper Genie is easier to operate with no hands, but some odors do get away. For that, we scoop a tablespoon of baking soda in the bag once in between emptying the Diaper Genie. That did make a difference.

  • Diaper genie use it for cloth diapers, vs the other one doesn’t work for clothes diaper star smells, diaper genie close well for smell in my opinion

  • So helpful!! I’m on my second child and I purchased a diaper genie for the first time and I feel like it smells soo bad still! I am definitely switching to the UBBI!

  • I hope my fellow mamas and mama-to-bes will find this video helpful! Let me know if you purchased any baby items you wish you didn’t buy, I’d love to know what they are! Sending you all love and light <3

  • My daughter used the diaper genie for 18 months and I can tell you for sure that odor escapes this canister. It was the first thing I noticed everytime I walked into my grandsons room so I got my daughter the Ubbi for Christmas along with the Ubbi bags and the odor is completely gone. My daughter was so used to the smell coming from the Genie that she didn’t realize how bad it smelled, but after everyone in our family told her the odor is gone after switching to the Ubbi she is a believer. With the gaps in the Genie canister and it being plastic it is impossible to keep the odor in regardless off how much charcoal filter you use and she used a lot because she was tired of me and others commenting on the smell.

  • And you actually don’t need the original diaper genie bag. They have a offbrand on amazon that fits for the diaper genie, 1,080 diapers, 4 refills for 16.99, and it does fit the diaper genie
So it is a matter of opinion and whether you want the original brand bags or to get the offbrand but the offbrand works just as good as the originals and it saves a lot of money so you actually pay 4.25 I believe for 1 refill instead of 6-7 for just 1 with the original brand

  • Hi, just wanted to share my experience with both diaper pails. I’ve had the Diaper Genie since my son was born (he is now 1 and a half) and the only time I’ve had an issue with odor is when I’ve tried using off brand refill bags (Target UP&UP and some off brand refills from amazon, which by the way had a baby powder scent and made the smell even WORSE). When I had my daughter (she is now 5 months) I purchased the Ubbi diaper pail in hopes of saving on refill bags. While I have saved a lot on refill bags (I’ve only gone through 1 roll out of the 4 that come in a box), the thing that bothers me is the smell that escapes when you open the Ubbi to throw away a diaper, and (even worse) the horrible smell when you are replacing the bag! Never had this issue with the Diaper Genie. I have decided to keep both diaper pails, and use the Diaper Genie for messier diapers now.

  • Thank you this video has been great. I was considering pacifier clips and this has been helpful. For me the Ubbi has been great and I have had it for 3 months and no smell whatsoever even with a full pail. I love the Elvie as you do and completely agree on the handsfree and the app complain as well. Ari is a very beautiful and happy baby.

  • Wow,$ 700 for a carrier? That is more than what I paid for my stroller and that’s a good one. I believe you that it is a good quality carrier but the price is really steep.

  • ive personally gone through many in 21 years so i understand love the video and you can see the newest to Theas Bunch whos filling those pails currently lol

  • ALMOST bought a UBBI but I LOVE not having to slide a door open when I’ve got my little one throwing a fit and I gave a diaper full of poo. Diaper genie all the way….. at some point after bottle only I quit using the carbon filters.

  • Thanks so much for this video! Omg you’ve saved me from purchasing some of the things you mentioned not to buy. Especially that Ubbi diaper pail! Ari is so cute by the way☺️

  • I love your channel and all your videos . The video became even more beautiful when the baby came. Like an angel

  • Yes guurrrll!!! I also had problems with my Medela Breast Pump!! I had to just go buy a Manuel Hand Pump!!! SO MUUCCHH BETTER

  • I just bought some of this stuff. I still have time to return them though. Lol. My baby is due next month. I had to do most of my shopping online due to Covid so I read reviews and watched videos. I was convinced I needed the Ubbi. Lol. It costs the same as the munchkin one.

  • I agree… DO NOT buy the Ubbi diaper pail. I really cannot understand why it has such high reviews. We put a diaper in there as quickly as possible and run lol

  • I love my ubbi! It’s one of my favorite baby products. Mine does not smell and I guess I have carpet in my nursery so it doesn’t move. However, I totally agree with you when it comes to baby carriers.

  • Put your hair back it doesn’t make you any prettier it just make you look uncomfortable and might be uncomfortable for the baby too just an opinion

  • I love the ubbi diaper pail but we keep it in the garage and change the bag every few days. With my first child I had the expensive, odor controlling pail and it did nothing to stop the stench. So we decided to go for the simplest, non plastic and move it to the garage. We havent had trouble opening it, but yes it scoots across the floor sometimes.

  • Ty so much for this video! I am 3 months away from my due date and doing all my shopping and this video really helped me choose! Ari’s eyes are so beautiful she’s a natural in front of the cam ❤❤

  • You spent over $1200 in baby carriers!! most moms cant afford just one of those baby carriers that are $315. Try to be more relatable in future videos for more views.

  • Wow…I have used my diaper genie for about 20 months and never knew there was a thing to cut your bags. I have always used scissors. lol.

  • Wow! How did the carrier do at the airport? Were you able to keep her calm throughout the flight too? If so. I may need to check it out

  • How is the suction with the Elvie Breast Pump? We heard the best is the Symphony Medela from the hospital b/c it sucked out the milk at lightening speed. It’s huge though & needs to plugged in.

  • I totally understand the nail clipping part it is my worst fear! I’m sorry you did clip ari that’s traumatizing. My mom did the nail clipping the first few months and basically said it it best to clip a babies nails when they are in deep sleep and ever since then I clip my daughter nails when she is sleeping. I have a baby boy on the way and plan to do the same with him. It takes me less than 5 minutes too.

  • I’m part of a babywearing group that has a “lending library” so that you can try out different carriers and wraps before buying. I’m SO glad I found them because carriers are expensive and a lot of it is personal preference…. now I’m an addict. I have 4 different ones…. whoops.

  • I used to clip my son’s nails while he was sleeping. If he woke up, i only did one foot/hand and did the other later in the day or even the next day. When he was a little bit older, my husband was holding his hands and feet still and we tried to distract him while clipping his nails. I had a tiny nail clip that did the job in a second un and still use it until this day…10 years later.

  • what a sweetheart!!!!!!!!! though haha I couldn’t live without clipping my little one’s nails. He literally claws at my face every time that he nurses.

  • I had forgotten how much babies move around….lol! Ari is such a cutie and I love her bright eyes. I absolutely loved the little insert of her at the nail salon…..lol! So funny! My son is a grown man now and engaged so I will keep these items in mind for my future grandchildren.❤️

  • Not going to pretend like I didn’t stop listening the moment Ari came on… She’s the cutest and obviously needs her own channel

  • Please make a baby fashion video!!!!Please share where you get Ari her onesies and outfits, as well as headbands and turbans! Just found out I’m having a girl and I’m obsessed with the neural tones you dress Ari in. Would really help to know where to shop!

  • Hi Niki! As a mama-to-be (1 month left ) I can only thank you for this video, and thank you for the laugh watching your sweet angel playing with your hair you are the Goddess of Patience! Great video as always, you are an inspiration. Ari and you are so blessed to have each other (hope this makes sense…) Xo from France !

  • Oh my gosh! Your daughter is so photogenic! I can’t get over how she isn’t camera shy at all… And so well behaved and adorable!☺ love it!

  • Niki, thank you so much for this video. New mamma here (5 week old baby) and I couldn’t agree more on the UBBI diaper pail and the Elvie pump (love it, I had the Spectra before) please continue doing these very helpful videos!!!!!!

  • Whenever I watch one of your videos in this room, I’m always intrigued by the black box with grey things that is slightly behind you to your left. Perhaps you’ve covered this in a video that I haven’t seen… but what is that?

  • Just ordered the artipoppe carrier via your link Expensive, but I could not resist! Ordered the dark grey leopard one, it was hard to pick!

  • Best game changer for baby nails: Cherish electric nail file. Seriously takes less than 2 minutes to file down all ten toenails and ten fingernails. Love it! https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B07JQBKMVR/ref=ya_aw_oh_bia_dp?ie=UTF8&psc=1

  • Thank you for this video, there aren’t any videos from real experienced mamas on diaper pails. I am having a hard time picking the right one for my registry. But now I have a better idea. Thanks again!

  • Great review, straight to the point. Thank you very much we was in the fence but we know now that Ubbi is the right choice.

  • I dont have a baby but I love watching for my future child lol and I watch all your videos overall! Are you still planning on doing a video on your jewelry? I love the necklaces you’ve been wearing lately. Also, Ari is the absolute cutest!!!
