Buy it: Chicco KeyFit 30 Infant Car Seat, $200, BuyBuyBaby.com. Before baby no. 2 arrived, I’d heard that 1) most parents install their baby’s car seat incorrectly, putting them at risk for injury, and 2) Chicco KeyFit 30 was really easy to install. So I was sold right away. Priced around $199, the Chicco KeyFit 30 Infant Car Seat is an affordable option for an infant car seat; a lot of options run upwards of $300.

Despite its lower price, I felt comfortable with the safety and durability of this car seat and think it’s a solid. The Chicco car seat is relatively easy to clean and the covers are machine-washable. The car seat is compatible with strollers as well.

The recommended weight and size limits for the Chicco Keyfit car seat are as follows: With the newborn insert, the seat supports a weight range of 4 to 11 pounds. Without the newborn insert, the seat supports babies in the range of 11 to 20 pounds. Also. Model reviewed: Chicco KeyFit 30 Infant Car Seat.

Our rating: 9.8 / 10. Summary: The Chicco KeyFit 30 is the best infant car seat on the market today for that price. It’s not really one particular feature that makes it stand out, but rather the overall package that is beautifully executed. Reviewed in the United States on May 16, 2018.

  • The only video which uses infant car seat with mockingbird stroller. I was so close to buying mockingbird stroller and when I didn’t find anyone using car seat with it I opted to buy another stroller

  • Hello! Thanks for the awesome review. Super helpful! The base of the Key fit seems smaller than the average infant seat. Do you find this to be the case? We have a rather compact car but we are also looking for something sturdy and safe. For reference, would you mind sharing the model of the car you used in your review while you installed the base? Thank you!

  • Hi there!! Great review. What if your car is older than ’02? Do you use the seatbelt installation and would you still need the base?

  • I’m interested in using this carseat with an uppababy vista stroller. I am currently expecting my first baby and would love to extend the life of the stroller for my second in the future. Would I be able to use the chicco car seat adapter with a second child using the uppababy stroller? It seems like the adapter would block a rumble seat?

  • Hello we’re having twins and we want to get the Chicco Keyfit 30 infant car seat so, my questions to you have a demo videos showing the chicco infant car seat “snapping” into a double stroller?  Plus which stroller can be used with the Chicco Keyfit 30?

  • I’m planning to use the same car seat I bought in 2014 it’s chicco keyfit30 and it’s almost new and expire in 2019, do u think it’s still safe to use it?!

  • Downside to this seat: babies outgrow it quickly. The baby I nanny moved out of it at 8 months.

    Upsides:
easy to click into adapters for strollers especially the City Mini
    Comfortable
    baby I nanny loved it

  • I have a couple of questions it’s not really about this car seat just in general. I’m going to be a first time mom and have no idea about car seats so I need help I have a 2013 Chevy Cruze and have a very tight budget right. What car seat should/ would need to get. I’m not picky about the car seat as long as it will last.

  • Hello! I’m trying to attach Chicco Keyfit 30 to Stokke Xplory, but I fell it’s not 100% firm. Is it normal? Any suggestions to make this ensemble better connected? Thank you!

  • It’s so disappointing that helpful, constructive, family-friendly videos like this get so few views… especially when clickbaity titles and topics on other channels get 100’s of thousands of views. Guess I have my answer, huh?!

  • Lawd, I’m so glad I found your channel through @svnah music video! Great work btw. This channel is soooo super helpful because my Sister is pregnant with his first baby and I’m a new TT. I can send her your videos! Thanks for the creative, informative content! (Excited to watch #BabyGrady) grow up. ‍
