  • Raphael, is the fort belvedere waistcoat still a thing on the to-do list? I’m looking for some recent and it is so hard to find a good one with self back. I wonder if the fort belvedere one is coming in the future.

  • With the suit at 13:25 and the boutonniere shown, I’ll have to admit that in this case it works. I’m not usually a fan of boutonniere as they look like a guy is trying too hard, imho. But I like the retro vibe inspired (for me) with this particular suit and look.

  • at 3:16 they are mixing clay PLEASE do not try this I assume you watching this video as an amateur or someone who has never done pottery the reason why this would not work is that these are different clay and clay shrinks in the kiln different clay shrink at a different speed and if this was in the kiln together mixed in like that it would explode and break you kiln shelf

  • You make these for your kids or for you big people who make I had never seen your child so funny you have grown big and playing with dolls

  • Would you talk about about dress shirt wrinkles on the inside of the elbow?

Ironing (including while damp) has done nothing for these particular wrinkles. I haven’t found an answer anywhere. It looks very bad, and I’m not sure what to do.

I work at a desk with my arms bent for much of the day, which I think is the main cause. But this isn’t just an end of the day problem. It happens as soon as I put the shirt on and bend my arms a couple times.

  • Man every time I see that burgundy vest I get just a little envious. I really have to keep my eyes open for one it’s such a great addition. I wish I knew some good consignment or vintage clothing stores in my area.

  • Please stop lowering your standards…..You say..” a suit is any suit”??? NOO..not at all. Boots???? Anyone comes to my company wearing “boots” will be sent to a head shrink…or to a cowboy movie. You used to maintain propriety,,,but lately you’ve lost that..

  • Another informative vid GG. 14:54 i believe the colour ‘Charteusse’ used to be a red/burgundy colour, but because of the popularity of the alcoholic drink (bearing the name) a lot of ppl call it a lime-green colour today.

  • You need to get together with “The Elegant Oxford” he has a great page and he can show you how to take care of your shoes. Yours definitely need his attention and shine!!! Check out his page. He knows shoes and and how to take care of them!

  • Hi Raphael, I enjoy watching your videos and I’ve been learning alot from you and the team.

I found that your opening music to be too loud as compared to your voice in the videos. It would be great if you could lower the title music volume to match your voice level. This is because the transition from voice to title and back to voice is extremely jarring. Thanks for the wonderful videos!

  • Love all of the videos so I subscribed and I am a lady:D You have a great team! The videos are very educational, interesting and funny.

  • I love the content and relentless fashion snobbery. It is refreshing to view videos that not the politically correct unlike the suckup american mens fashion channels. X

  • Very important to keep in mind your wrist watch as part of your overall outfit, black cap toe Oxfords or wholecuts and G-Shocks don’t go great together just as an A. Lange doesn’t go great with Converse All Stars. Every time you pick new shoes it is advisable to also pick a watch that will compliment the shoes and vice versa.

  • Here’s a challenge. I like Western Boots (aka Cowboy boots). Since I live in the American Southwest I can get away with wearing them (not that living in other areas ever made any difference to me I still wore them). I generally stick with Black or Brown and I shoe-polish any contrasting colored decorative stitching to match the leather. I wear the ‘tube’ under my pants and prefer an angled riding heel, and somewhat pointed toe. Clearly Western Boots are not a British thing, but I wondered if you have any thoughts other than “DON”T DO IT!!!”

  • I got side tracked by the camouflage shoes (a “no” recommendation this time around).
It got me thinking though. Maybe the GG should release a tie, boutinere and pocket square set in camouflage called “The Kyle Set” and have it be a fundraiser for US Military veterans or something like that. A limited time thing and a novelty, but it would be a nice give back to people. Just an idea.
Keep up the great work, Gentlemen!

  • I wear Chelsea boots with my suits when running appointments all the time. Awesome video! Thanks for showing love to the gentlemen who may not want to wear an oxford all the time!

  • Why did you cross lace an Oxford? Did you not say that that is not a thing you should do in you shoe lacing video? Cheers from Sweden!❤️❤️❤️
BTW You know that your the boss when you have button boots to the office!!!

  • Do you have any suggestions for a good looking, but also functional pair of shoes, or boots that can also be worn in rougher environments? In other words, shoes/boots that look good, give you a firm stand, but which can still take some punishment?

  • I’ve watched every video on your channel and this is the MOST complete, in depth, and appropriate video you have. Amazing job! And thank you for your commitment to mens classics!

  • Lots of great ideas! I love seeing how switching up one or two elements creates a whole new look. Just for me, though, I’m an old curmudgeon, so no brown jackets and no brown neckties, ever. Also ties should only be made of silk as God intended. Now you kids get off my lawn.

  • I guess I’m the only one to think so, but wearing socks that draw the eye is like letting one’s Y-fronts appear over the edge of the trousers. I would not color key my socks with a pocket square; what relevance has one with the other? I don’t want boring. I do want classy with character, so I like wearing Chelsea boots with a suit, but not wearing Oxfords with disharmonious looking socks.

  • When the camera is off I’d expect the layout is something like this:
Mr. Schneider would be ‘drinking like a gentleman’ with a Dean Martin sort of Charisma.
Mr. Schlueter would be playing Bing Crosby loudly and singing along.
Mr. Thibodeaux has a laser and is shaving his perfectly trimmed beard taking care not to have one hair out of place.

I feel sorry for Mrs. Schneider who has to deal with these three absolute characters.

P.S. I wouldn’t also be surprised if they have a weather station of the roof of the building to see when they all get to walk around the town wearing overcoats in the snow.

  • In the middle of winter here in Canada you need to wear rubber soled shoes. If your going to several appointments even switching shoes is impossible.

  • You should review some of those popular low cost high quality dress shoe brands (Beckett Simonon, Ace Marks, Thursday Boots). We also need a list of shoe brands by price point.
